Summary: There are episodes, periods of near-catatonic states when his reality turns red and so very, very cold his breath turns to ice in his lungs. When he is trapped in a memory that leaves him frozen, unable to make a sound. He drops like a stone then, Dean says; he goes down and doesn’t get up again, doesn’t move, doesn’t twitch for as long as it lasts. Sometimes he even stops breathing.
