The Winchester brothers return to one of Dean's old high schools where they believe a job could be waiting for them. To Sam it's just an ordinary hunt, despite the janitor's uniform he has to grudgingly don, but as Dean begins to allow memories he had buried nearly ten years ago to resurface, he can't help but relive the past. He feels something familiar about the evil they are hunting, and Dean soon realizes that what he thought had been destroyed all those years ago has now returned for more.

While investigating a violent haunting of a small town in Massachusetts, the Winchester boys suddenly become tangled in a horrific tale centuries old. Both men must try to unravel the mystery surrounding a witch that lived in the year 1689, a time in American history that was full of overwhelming chaos and terrible deceit. However, while Sam uses the stories and legends of the witch in the present to determine what really occurred all those years ago, Dean finds himself smack in the middle of the story. Dragged into a past festering with deception, lies, and twisted stories, he struggles to survive as he must escape a fate he could never have imagined.  

 When Dean is seriously injured during a standard haunting, Sam wants revenge.  The only problem is, there is no way to settle the scores, and Dean only has three months left...

Mercedes is saved by a strange man who suddenly pulls her into a world she has already tasted.
