Howdy from Texas!

I'm rather fond of grammar and spelling and words in general & I'd make a living writing if I could.

I've been writing for my own entertainment since high school (a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.) Been working on a series for a long time but haven't given enough effort to finding an agent.    I'm getting better at short stories; writing the one-shots helped. I've also discovered that I can't edit myself too much or I just keep changing things & not always for the better. I have to work on letting things be; sometimes the way the words flow right at the start works so much better than any conscious editing.

Just discovered "Castle". Love Nathan Fillion; you gotta watch "Dr. Horrible" if you haven't yet.  Also like "Chuck" & "24". When I have the time, I read a lot of SciFi/Fantasy with a few mystery/thrillers thrown in.  Jim Butcher, Laurell K. Hamilton, CJ Cherryh, Jonathan Kellerman, Sue Grafton, Janet Evanovich, Weiss & Hickman, Robert Jordan, Melanie Rawn.  Several dozen others.

I'm on MySpace & Twitter (for some reason) as Renate651, but this is the only place I've posted a story.

Series by Renate
Summary:

Sam and Dean join up with a duo from an ancient order of hunters to prevent another Seal from being broken.

Set somewhere in Season Four, before IKWYDLS.

Something I've been dabbling in since the hellatus of Season 3 & it's been refueled by all the new angst and challenges of Season 4.  Kinda going with the fantasy that's it's an episode, thus the "Then/Now" summaries.  Runs that way in my head, truth be told.

Warning for language a little rougher than on TV, maybe for violence (guess that's subjective, though) and a possible adult situation or two.

Standard disclaimers apply, I might add.  I'm building myself a castle in Kripke's lovely sandbox.
