Author's Response: Lol - no, not a sweet boy and his dog story but maybe it'll have a semi-happy ending? I think I've been very cruel putting both brothers in a really nasty situation where they both have different but similar things to worry about - but at least they do have each other. As for the last line about Stanford - I'd been watching the Pilot and it kinda found its way in - but it is sad to think about it. Thank you loads!!!

Then Dean is accused within the demon community of exhibiting behavior unbecoming a demon. Twisted. And now it seems that Sam is the only one who believes the demon is Lucifer and not Dean! Date: 17/06/08 Title: Chapter 34: Heartbeat Rae, Great chapter as always. I am certain there's a little devil sitting on your shoulder providing you with all your devilish words and of couse, sugar! You have blended Lucifer and Dean together flawlessly. While terrifying the reader with the fact that Dean is really Lucifer, you always leave little "tid bits" of bread crumbs along the way to guide us to our Dean. Lucifer still holds a little bit of humanity left within him, the hazel eyes, an utterance of Oh God and the reprieve granted to Orabas - certainly little hints of Dean. Carry On, Pook

Date: 01/07/08 Title: Chapter 35: Hello Again Rae, I think all of us at one time or another has thought of Dean as a misguided angel - not perfect but still wanting to do the right thing. You've given us "devilish" hints of this throughout Dean's ordeal - his need not to have Sam see the things he would have to do during battle; his ability to cry with open flowing tears for the loss of his brother and his choice to give in to evil. Date: 01/07/08 Title: Chapter 36: Dance with the Devil Rae, Something is not quite right with the Prince of Darkness - everything about him still seems to have a humanly response. Lucifer should not be mourning the loss of a human, yet he does. Lucifer experiences a deep sense of heartache when he believes Sam is gone, yet he does. Lucifer believing Sam is dead should not feel that a piece of himself has died as well, yet he does! You seem to ever so subtly present a case in God's court that maybe there is hope for "Dean's renewal and change. Lucifer has definitely changed, always deep inside was our Dean, the fallen angel. The choice he makes without hesitation, choosing to give up everything, Lucifer and Dean alike, to save Sam - to sacrifice himself(themselves). Who else could write such an evil story as this and wrap it up with words such as "its wide doggy grin!!" I truly enjoyed this ending as all humans are given the choice to live in either the light or darkness and Dean, no matter if his day truly went "to hell in a handbasket" made his choice, his sacrifice.
