Date: 06/09/07 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Have to agree you hit the nail on the head. You got the right emotions... even showing that John was being looked after by his friends... and Caleb unknowingly was doing the same for the boys. Stressing the meaning of the Brotherhood...this story hit home the first time I read it and it continues to do so now. Love how Sammy tries to help and shows how he too can be there to help his big brother. Caleb is a teenage darling... falling into the role of big brother more and more. Now if you all enjoyed this story read Paper Tiger and In the Company of Dragons.... Summary: While John's away on a hunt, Dean tries to explain to Sammy what their dad does.

Date: 17/09/07 Title: Chapter 1: Sir John of the Impala Loved your Story. It gave us another peak into the innocence of Sam and how his brother and father tried to hold on to that time as long as possible. Reminds me a little of the AHBL2 scene with Dean remembering how he tried to keep Sam innocent for as long as he could... Good Job... you could probably add a future story... just for fun... about Sir John of the Impala Summary: John’s thoughts as he listens to the police scanner while watching over his sons in Dead Man’s Blood.

The way he showed up... out of breath... lol... oh and this line... Bobby gave the three hunters a sidelong glance. “I am,” he muttered. “And I’m happy to let the mighty Triad deal with that damned thing. ‘sides, we all won't fit in one car. I'll just stay behind--”Jim cleared his throat. “We are going.” He gave Bobby a pointed look. “All of us. We can take the church van.” I remember my share of trips in the church bus...lol...and later van... painful...lol thanks for the smiles you have given me this week...

Date: 06/01/08 Title: Chapter 12: Chapter 12 Hi can you just remind me what the time lapse has been since we last saw Sam? I was just wondering having just been through the trauma of witnessing the young boy's assault and murder he must be catatonic. Will we know what condition he is in... there is no way he can walk away from what he has been through. Can't wait for update... Author's Response: Thanks for reading. This chapter happens while Sam is confined, shortly after Marlin leaves him. The next chapter is about 24 hours later, which I did put in as a time reference. Yes, you will know very clearly what condition Sam is in.

Date: 09/02/08 Title: Chapter 15: Chapter 15 wow.... this story has held my attention from the beginning although sometimes I have had to squint through the gory bits but I still get through because I just have to know the boys will be ok in the end... the dialogue Sam was having with his conscious... so touching to read the last bit "He was never the good son. Yes you are. The voice more Dean’s than his poked around his brain. Sam was a good son, just not John Winchester’s. Date: 20/11/07 Title: Chapter 16: Chapter 16 Hi think you are heading in the right direction. I did honestly find it a bit unbelievable how fast Sam fell for Jay (although she was described as looking like Jess.... I preferred to just go with the story and see where it would lead)... I have to also admit I skimmed through the gory parts... I follow the angst and hurt but there were some moments when I thought "How much more can Dean take" and "Could someone PLEASE GET THAT THING... (to put it nicely) OFF SAMMY!!!) I am so glad he stopped her earlier... loved reading... Sam closed his shirt... (finally!!!) Author's Response: Thank you for the comments. Poor Sam is still totally in mourning, and another Jess, well, how could he resist. Sorry about some of the, well, disturbing parts, I felt they were somewhat necessary. I really hope you enjoy the rest, because it's not quite done yet.

She has liked Sam for a long time... anyway... is that really Dean on the phone? Questions questions... this was such a good update... didn't realize what was going to happen but glad Sam is focussing on what really matters... finding Dean. Author's Response: She has loved Sam for a long time yes, and she herself is a shapeshifter (I don't remember what chapter it was but she referred to HIM as one of her kind) I tried to make it really subtle, maybe a little too subtle.
