 Date: 16/10/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Thanks for this great fic. The Winchesters have such a strange lifestyle that they need to find comedy whereever possible. Also, it's pure evil the way Dean admits that Jo was 'holding' something but doesn't clarify that it was just water. Thanks for this Yeah a little bit of light relief is good for the soul. Date: 13/11/09 Title: Chapter 1: Smoke 'Em If Ya Got 'Em! Really enjoyed your description of Dean's smile toward the end. Somehow, anti-smoking commercial campaigns are never this persuasive...lol. Also, great that Sam is more frightened of his brother than his father. It is a lovely smile is it not? *pauses to imagine it* *sigh* LOL They need Jensen Ackles to do one. "Smoking kills more Americans every year than demon possessions. And if that's not enough incentive..." *cocks gun* "I'm not a fan of it myself." *smiles* I know I wouldn't ever even think about smoking. :D John can be scary, but in Sam's teen years? Nah. Date: 13/11/09 Title: Chapter 1: Someone's Watching Over Me I especially liked Jessica's realization that she'd never really had Sam...that on some level, he had always been waiting to return to the family business, even if she doesn't know what that business is. It made me sad to realize that, but I couldn't see it any other way, not in this setting. Poor girl. Date: 07/11/09 Title: Chapter 4: The Follow Through Considering how much Dean hates chick-flick moments, it speaks to his bravery...that he was willing to endure one to convice Shawn that Hunting wasn't the psychic's gig. Nice ending! I know, right? Poor baby. But he's just so much awesome that way. Plus, as much as I love Shawn and Dean, the world of hunting does NOT need that headache. Date: 22/10/09 Title: Chapter 15: Coming home Were you trying to copy the Patti Smith stong about counting down steps? B/c it kind of sounds similar. Anyway, loved the detail about Dean having the helpful campers drop him off at the wrong hotel. Even injured and concussed, he's still paranoid enough to protect Sam's whereabouts from strangers. I don't know who Patti Smith is, and I haven't heard a song like this, so I wasn't trying to copy anything. If there are similarities, they're purely coincidental. Hey there! Thanks for continuing to read and review, I really appreciate it. And stars, yay! Yeah, I love Dean's character so much, and self-sacrifice is such a big part of him. I'm thrilled that you thought the characterization in this was good. I always spend a lot of time on that. I have another action/adventure hurt/comfort story started that you might be interested in, "The Soul Collector." It's in progress. If you'd prefer something that's already finished, check out "Thanksgiving, Winchester Style or, The Importance of Pie." It's a series of one-shots throughout the boys' lives, mainly showing their bond over the years. There's a little of everything in there--hurt/comfort, action/adventure, family drama, humor, etc--but mainly a slew of brother moments. Of course, Dean would be uncomfortable at the thought of God actually existing, because then he has to consider all thos pesky questions like the existence of evil. Really liked his embarrassment. 2. As much as Sam is seen as the independent one (for going away to Stanford), it's easy to see that he also needs his brother. They've shared so much, that if either one forgt othe other, they would lose a huge part of themselves. Thanks for resolving that in this chapter, and keep up the great writing! Summary:

Date: 04/12/09 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Very cool description of a ghost. From the series' point of view, the boys always know what they are dealing with when fighting ghosts. Reading Henricksen's take on ghosts instead was interesting. Nice tranformation in Henricksen's character...that at the beginning of the chapter, he won't even give Dean his coat and at the end, he's reluctant about causing him pain.

Date: 04/10/09 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Sometimes I wonder if Castiel actually knows more about human traditions than he lets on. I mean, Cas has been posted on earth for centuries--possibly even millenia--and in all that time, he never realized that humans prefer a certain amount of privacy? However, since Castiel's character seems to completely lack a sense of humor, I have to acknowledge that he probably does miss the finer points of etiquette. Very well-written. I hadn't even considered the fact that Dean's "Cas...we've talked about this," would have had a backstory. Thanks so much for writing it, this was a great fic! Summary:

Also, great to see that Sam can (for the most part) hold his own in a fight...it helps reassure Dean about his abilities as a Hunter. Thank you. He might not have been the best parent, but John did love his sons. And yes, it would have done Dean good to see his brother hold his own - and we all know that Sam can, when he's pushed.
