Date: 03/04/10 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Thanks for this. I thought it was unfair of Dean to just throw away the amulet b/c God hadn't given the right answer to their prayers; I never considered it might be that and disappointment in Sam's version of Heaven. I don't think Dean threw the amulet away because of his disappointment in God. I think the amulet was always a symbol of how much Dean meant for Sam and, once he saw Sam's version of Heaven, he realized that he didn't mean all that much. Thank you! Summary: At the back of the shadowy, candle-lit stone church, a man sits alone and watches a ceremony that has its origins almost two thousand years ago.

Date: 22/04/10 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 The List The fudge scene is cute, and I liked that Dean is willing to try maple instead of just chocolate. (But the really characteristic part of that scene was that Sam knew to get 2 portions for Dean). Interesting to see that Gibbs' patience slips when dealing with office stakeouts rather than cemeteries. Date: 24/04/10 Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4 Tex-Mex To Go Great final chapter. I don't think the NCIS characters were given too little time in this fic. It was very accurate to Gibbs' character that he would read the file and realize from it that Dean might want the seat with a better view. Also liked that Gibbs kept that seat for himself until he met Dean in person, though...just to be on the safe side. Nice touch, adding the 'pretty sure', 'really pretty sure' banter. Date: 22/04/10 Title: Chapter 1: Fallen Honestly, I hadn't even thought about Dean being able to kill Zach, and Uriel's line about only an angel being able to kill another angel. When I did consider it, I dismissed Dean's act as maybe being connected to his status as a vessel. That, in order to contain an angel, he would have to be capable of killing one. However...I liked your take on this better. It's more fun and gives Dean's character a depth to match Sam's backstory. Author's Response: Yeah it kind of worries me the things that Dean seems capable of recently. I'd love Dean to have a better back story that just being a vessel but I don't think we will get it. Dean wasn’t packing. He sat on his bed and watched me throw my life into a little box with wheels and didn’t say a word. I started getting a bad feeling in my stomach, but I didn’t pay much attention. Whatever. Dad would be back soon.
At least he said he would be home soon. There was no telling with Dad. A hunt could be shorter or longer than he’d expected, and he’d expect us sitting tight waiting for him to stumble in drunk so we can greet him like the good little soldiers we are. Well not anymore. I stuffed my pocketknife and lighter from my purse to my suitcase and back again. Then I considered not taking them at all. Then I put my lighter back in my purse and my pocketknife under a pile of socks in the suitcase. I’d feel naked without either of them.
Dean’s suitcase was open and empty. I zipped mine and marched to his drawers, throwing the contents in. Jeans. T-shirts. Jean jacket, green. Jean jacket, blue. Underwear. Socks. Bowie knife. I took time to wrap the knife in two pairs of socks so Dean would have a chance. Someone catches an eyeful of that the first day of college? Your chances of staying under the radar are over. EMF meter got another pair of socks around it. Then I burrowed it under a stack of underwear. It could pass for a walkman, but nobody has those anymore. No need to stick out on our first chance to fit in. I ignored the shifting in my stomach as Dean watched me silently. Whatever. Pre-college jitters.
“Anything else?” I asked. Dean shook his head mutely. I zipped up his suitcase and lined it up next to mine. Dean Winchester, Stanford. Rachel Winchester, Stanford. It felt pretty good. It felt awesome. We were getting away. Both of us. We were gonna be normal.

Date: 14/05/10 Title: Chapter 1: The Devil You Know Alright, either the dream with Cas in it was very early season 4 Castiel, or Lucifer was trying to get Sam to talk more openly...because I just can't picture Castiel knowing the idiom 'sweet dreams', but Lucifer seems to have a solid grasp on present-day slang and popular phrases. Even if the last dream sequence was supposed to be Castiel, it's still in character, because Cas doesn't know who to trust, except maybe Sam, Dean, and Bobby. Author's Response: I'd be the first to admit, looking back at it today, the characterization was little off right there. Date: 18/05/10 Title: Chapter 1: My Reward Thanks for making Michael more human...during 'the song remains the same' we caught a glimpse of how complicated Michael could be, and this fic gives the full, accurate description. Michael has lost, just like Dean, but at least he can help Dean by saving Sam. Hopefully, this is how Season Six starts out! I was a little bit disappointed how Michael was portrayed in the show, and while I enjoyed the majority of the finale, that last couple of minutes where it looks as if Sam's going to leave Dean thinking he's still in Hell because he thinks he's happier with Lisa? Yeah, so didn't like that! I'd love season 6 to start like this too, but somehow I doubt it. They like to torture the boys over summer too much! Thanks for leaving me a review! Summary:

It seems fitting that Dean would put off talking about Sam's final sacrifice as long as possible...if ever...and the musings about coincidence of destiny and free will were thought-provoking. Thanks! Thanks, Armaita! I love all the philosophical musings that Supernatural presents, all while they are entertaining us and giving us so much awesome drama and comedy, along with the angst. I don't know that we could ever say anything is totally Free Will, because destiny is so hard to define. I think the Winchesters were chosen, so did God know how it would all work out? Did all roads lead to them resisting heaven and hell and taking their own path, the path that their true destiny called them to?
