I think that maybe I’m the kind of father that children grow up determined not to be, that daughters are frightened of and sons are shut down by and wives are ashamed of. I keep my eyes facing forward as I search intently for the black van I know carries my youngest son, and I wonder how my oldest can stand to know my blood runs in his veins. Date: 10/05/09 Title: Chapter 21: Chapter 21 Fight to the Death? Oh Bev - I saw you were updating again so I went back and re-read The Fallen (and loved it) just to get back in the loop. Then I spent some wonderful hours reading this. I can tell you I've loved every minute with hurt (yes!) and bewildered Dean, not-always-nice sidelined Sam and the angels with their human traits. AND THEN YOU LEAVE US WITH SUCH A HUMUNGOUS CLIFFHANGER !!! So, what with epi 21 and all, I'm quite depressed. I'm looking to you to make everything all right in So Not an Angel at least.
