Summary:

Sam has learned from long experience to never try to talk to Dean in the mornings.  It only makes Dean frustrated and grouchy when conversation happens around him, and he can’t hear it.

Special thanks to calUK for the beta work, and the banner.  She's definitely helped me wrap my brain about how I needed to approach this and made it much better!

No talking before Breakfast

I can’t imagine what sort of trouble poor John was expecting to hear about the first time the teacher called him. The premise is very interesting and this first installment of it was extremely well done.

You do an absolutely fantastic job with the John POV and capturing his concern for his son while struggling to keep everything together. I definitely look forward to more!

Author's Response:

Heh.  When the kindergarten teacher called ME, it was because my daughter had put a rock in her ear and they couldn't get it out so could I please get her to the doctor right away.  You never really know what to expect with these things :)

Thank you so much for your review!  I am really glad that you liked it!

This is just plain lovely. You so perfectly capture all the elements of a 'normal' family's morning getting the kids off to school, but of course with the Winchester twist.

I love this chance for John to be proud of his boys for something non-hunting related and adore that Dean helped Sam on the project. It's absolutely incredible how much you have Dean say without barely saying a word.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  That means a lot!  I just finished working with my daughter on her science fair project, and I figured John would miss it, so Dean would step in to help.  That isn't going to stop John from caring, and perhaps feeling a little guilty that he wasn't there to play the part Dean did.

Thank you again for reviewing!
