My name is Kirsty and I am one of many obsessed Supernatural fans! I was thrilled to find a website that was dedicated to purely Supernatural fan fiction and signed up immediately. I have written much fan fiction in the past, and for those of you who are interested, I have a FF.Net account under the name of linkkinparkk. Anyway, I was tenative about writing Supernatural fan fiction for fear that I wouldn't capture the character's personalities and relationships, but I eventually took the plunge and found I loved writing add-ins for the show. It was definitely a case of once I was started, there was no stopping!
When it comes to writing Supernatural fan fiction, I prefer to write one shots that either show a chosen character's feelings and thoughts in a given moment i.e. Dean after Sam walked out on him, or a funny, cute fics that highlight the best of each of the character's personalities i.e. the brother's relationships. I prefer one shots to a full on story, due to my fears of before that I just won't be able to capture a whole story. However, I have two ideas that I'm sitting on, and am eager to work on, which would require the dedication of a series.
Okay, now for the 'me' parts, if you can call them that. Anyhoo, I'm from the United Kingdom and I am currently studying Psychology, which also means I am in my first year. Oh, university. How much fun! I can't imagine leaving. Ah, and my interest in Psychology probably explains why I like to analyse Sam and Dean's emotions and thoughts so much, through the medium of one shots.
Good ol' U of K, how tortured are we, that we have to wait extra long for the newest season of Supernatural. But fear not, our time is coming for it is January '10 and I managed to score a viewing of 5.01 a few weeks back. Naughty, but I was desperate. And still am. University means no TV or cable and no TV/cable means no SPN. I'm not a bad person, so why am I being punished? Eh, I'll find a means of getting my Sam'N'Dean fix.
Oh, and for those who are interested, my penname is kudos to Dead By Sunrise, a mixture of their band name and the name of their first album, Out of Ashes.
Yeah, obsessed again.

That was the sweetest, most adorable one shot I have read in a long time, and it being about Sam and Dean made it all the more amazing.

Protective Dean is always a winner for me. I love how he takes care of Sammy by giving him the last of the good food and by hustling pool and stuff like that and your fic gave me a load of Deaness to drink up!

And Sammy sneakily buying Dean's gift so he wasn't left out at Christmas, how sweet.

Ha ha, I loved that Dean got hit by a spell and more importantly, that the spell was that he starts to get naked. Loving imagery there! Oh, and I loved Sam's reactions all the way through this. Poor kids gonna be scarred. And if this is set in season two, then he has worse to come in season three ...

How ever does Sam keep a hold on his sanity with Dean around?

That was a much needed, and very forgiving, tag to that episode. I was so taken by how broken Dean looked that I needed to seek reassurance myself. He looked so helpless and it is a credit to Jensen that he could convey everything that Dean has ever gone through, is going through, and has ever felt, in one look.

Dean is not dead inside, and I love your reasoning and your take on what a soul looks like. In fact, I think your idea that a soul diminishes and darkens with its lack of repentance to take the form of the dark smoke we all know and love is brilliant.

Your one shot made me smile after a particularly sad moment. Go Cas!
