Date: 09/04/11 Title: Chapter 1: Rise & Shine! I like this story. I've often wondered about Sam in the days after Mystery Spot. He was never the same after that episode, IMO. I do think you could use more spacing in your story format. Everything seems kinda jumbled together and on this background it's easier to read with better spacing, especially when you have old eyes like mine. :) Author's Response: Thanks for the input. I have some trouble with the spacing on this website, on how to use it, I mean. For some reason it won't let me just upload it directly from my computer and when I cut and paste, I have to go through and do everything piece by piece. Oh well, I'll figure it out. Date: 07/07/11 Title: Chapter 1: Ill-Deserved Recriminations I can see Cas having exactly these thoughts. I've said lots of times that Cas reminds me of season four Sam. He thinks everything he's done is for the right reason but now he's just drunk on the power of it. I'm hoping we will see him redeemed. Good job. Summary: ‘Always let your conscience be your guide', or not in Castiel's case. One last voice of reason tries to stop Castiel taking his chosen path.

Date: 27/06/11 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 This is an interesting concept and a nice quick read for my lunch hour. :) And I think you've got Cas's thinking right. He reminds me of Sam, who thought demon blood was the only way to go and he was the only one who could do anything. Both were drunk on the power and chose the wrong path. I hope that Cas will be given a chance for redemption the same as Sam. Nice one! Author's Response: Many thanks for this, In some episodes Castiel says how his 'vessel' craved real food i.e a burger so I am guessing that somewhere within there is still Jimmy Novak. Yes he is like Sam, I reckon that is how Dean see's him, and he forgave Sam eventually, so now we must wait until Sept 26th to see what comes next...so far away *sighs* Quick reads are very handy sometimes :) Jacq Summary: Dean decides to get Sam's help to find their dad.

Date: 30/11/11 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 I didn't realized you had posted the next chapter of this. Just had time to pop over yesterday and check out the challenge when you mentioned it. Didn't even look at what had been posted. Decided to give it a quick look today and now here I am, sneaking and reading when I should be working. LOL Sam and Dean's self loathing and guilt kill me! That is one of the reasons for so many misunderstandings between them. They assume because of the way they feel, it's the way the other one feels, when it couldn't be farther from the truth. Sam doesn't hate Dean and Dean doesn't want to just ditch Sam but because of their own personal issues they make themselves believe that. Sammy needs to hurry up and get Dean out of there! And don't rats carry rabies? Not good! Okay, where's the next chapter? LOL Author's Response: I just sneak up on you that way!!! LOL... I promise I wont tell your boss that you're reading SN fic on the side... after all- it shouldnt be against the rules- but a work requirement to get through a day! As for the self-loathing and misunderstanding... well- I have to assume it didnt start after Stanford- but found it roots much earlier on - at least for Dean. And I'm sorta sure that Sam too- with his relationship with John (alluded to) spent a fair amount of time dealing with self-doubt and wondering what his family thought about him. I'm sure they carried that for years on... As for rabies? Hmm- actually hadn't thought about that.... but they definately have myriads of disease... nasty critters! Next chapter? Is it Sunday yet? Date: 16/03/12 Title: Chapter 1: Beggars Can't Be I really like this a lot. As someone who didn't always have the best clothes while growing up, I could understand Sam's humiliation. I love how Dean managed to turn it all around and make his brother laugh while also figuring out a way to get Sam some suitable clothes and never letting John know where the clothes actually came from. And you know the sad part? People really do that. They pick out clothes that aren't fit for anything and think someone should be grateful to get them. I've seen it happen. Really tells you a lot about a person's character, IMO. I mean, who in the world would give a pink skirt to a teenage boy if they were really trying to help someone? Sorry to ramble on but this one hit close to home for me. Really nice work. Summary:
