As soon as I saw the lovely banner Chris did I thought, "It's the glove story!" :) Sorry it took so long for me to get to it. At first I thought it was one of the brothers but when it got down into the details I thought it had to be John because I couldn't imagine Dean or Sam studying dirt. :) But then I thought Dean was in the hole and I was mad because John had thought his whole life was in that hole! And then when I realized it was BOTH boys and they were little boys, I was really pissed at John for bringing them along! Nice one Jules! Way to mess with our minds. :) Author's Response: Hey, hun! That's all right - you have to rest those eyes. Yes, it's the glove story - LOL! Thanks for the help, too, by the way. Geez, didn't we go round and round over those gloves in Route 666? And I managed to work the mittens in, too, because I just loved that suggestion too much not to use it. Ah, yes - his whole life was in that hole - both little boys. At the time I wrote that, I was wondering if people would still be thinking it was an adult Dean or Sam doing the digging - the same principle applies to either brother. Hmm, must be losing my touch a bit if you got onto me at the dirt thing - lol. But then, you know me pretty well by now, so I suppose it's not so surprising. I'm going to have to start getting up lots earlier to fool you - ROFL. Yep, know what you mean about John bringing the boys on the hunt. I've loudly - sometimes - proclaimed all along that I'm not a John fan, but I'm trying to dig into his motives for how he chose to raise his boys. I don't agree, but I never thought he didn't love the boys either. I firmly believed he just didn't understand his youngest - even though Sam has a lot of his father's traits (and bad habits....). The image of Dean sucking his thumb is hilarious and if I may say so, quite sensuous the way you described it. :) Loved Dean's imitation of Bobby doing Charlie and I loved the boy's fight in the Impala. Date: 27/08/10 Title: Chapter 2: Day Two - It's An Ill Wind Bwhahahahahaha! OMG, Jules, that is seriously hilarious! I was trying to read this and eat lunch. Really not a good combination since I kept laughing hysterically. They may be sending out for the men in white coats even as I speak. There are just too many good jokes and one-liners in there, I can't even begin to pick a fave but I did think it was funny Sam is having to put up with gassy Dean for a change and I loved the fact that the whole town was talking about Dean's gas instead of the deaths that are going on! Can't wait to see what happens next. This was just what I needed to perk my Friday afternoon right up! Author's Response: Hey, Sonya, Yeah, um - don't eat while reading this either - lol. I did the don't drink warning - forgot about the eating. So glad you loved all of this. I think it's the best chapter - there's just something about wind that's hilariously funny. Date: 04/09/10 Title: Chapter 3: Day Three - Summer Of Love Thank you Jules for the wonderful image you just put in my head of Dean lying on his back in a field of wildflowers. Man, I wish I was with him! I loved the idea of Dean being all happy and enjoying everything around him but at the same time it was bittersweet. It's too bad he doesn't have time to enjoy the little things more often....although maybe with not quite so much gusto. :) I loved Sam and Bobby's conversation on the phone. That was dead on. I can only imagine what the next chapter is going to bring with Dean going all emo. Should be another good one! Can't wait til Friday! Author's Response: Hi, Sonya, He was precious, wasn't he? Date: 17/09/10 Title: Chapter 5: Day Five - Things That Go Bump Aw, poor Dean! I'm beginning to feel pretty sorry for him in this chapter. Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place--leave Dean alone or take him on the hunt? Knew taking him on the hunt was a bad idea but who knows what would have happened if he'd been left alone? "Am I interrupting somethin', ladies? This your morning yoga class?" That is classic Bobby and just cracked me up! Well, my Friday is off to a great start....new promo sent by Jane and the next chapter to your story. :) I really can't wait to see what happens on day six because whatever it is, it's gonna happen while Dean is in a desperate search for his brother. Date: 24/09/10 Title: Chapter 6: Day Six - Only The Strong I can't wait to see how this story ends, Jules. Dean's fainting was almost as funny as the....er....gas. LOL I love how Sam was actually having some fun out of it because as he said, Dean would certainly have been doing it to him if the shoe had been on the other foot. I just love the brotherly bickering and this line from Bobby was perfect: "Now I know why your daddy was always so damned pissed." Can't wait for next week's chapter to find out what's going on....I hope! And season six tonight/tomorrow! Doing a happy dance!! Sam should have known he wasn't going to give Dean a hard time without some kind of repercussion. I'm gonna have to catch the other fic later but I had to finish this one tonight. :) Thanks, Sonya. My break is not turning into the relaxing reading/writing fest I hoped it would be but I was determined to at least get this one read. This isn't what I would exactly call schmoop but whatever it is, it's still a good story. I love how confused John was when he thought the baby belonged to Sam. Very nice moments afterwards with John and Sam. And wow, those two disgusting old men were really disgusting! :) Another beautiful banner by Chris. Love the pic of young Sam/Jared. Jane and I discussed it awhile back and after the episode aired about the baby we decided not to do ours because you know I have a hard time going against canon and they made it pretty clear that Sam had never seen Dean really interact with a baby before so there went another idea out the door. Date: 20/02/11 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 I do believe that's one of the reasons Sam stayed away from Dean. He may not have had a soul but as he said countless times, he had all his old memories. He knew something was wrong with himself and he also knew that Dean would pick up on it immediately. The only person who knows Sam as good as Sam does is Dean. I liked the talk there at the end. Nice one B.J. :) Thanks, Sonya! There are always elements in the show that I wish they explained further, like why did Sam stay away and then why did he then want Dean to hunt with him? It leaves it open to the fanfic writers' interpretation and I always hope I get it right. Be nice to know for sure! LOL I love allowing the boys to really talk. I love writing dialogue and they do need to talk, more than the show allows so fanfics are a nice way to force the issue. Take care, B.J.
