Date: 05/04/10 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Very nice tag. Trust me, you weren't the only one crying at that scene. That was one of the most heartbreaking scenes I've ever seen on the show. I just rewatched the episode a few minutes ago (lost count how many times now) and it still makes me cry. Author's Response: There are so many things in the eppy that got to me but this one scene, Dean so happy because his brother was happy, and it was such a simple moment. Date: 15/04/10 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 I finally had the time to read this. I like how you brought up the issue of Cas letting Sam out of the panic room. I'm still hoping they address that this season and it would be a really good way to strip Dean of any person/angel he feels he can still trust. I'm wondering where you and Jane are heading with this but I tell you there is no way I couldn't watch the show! Can't do it, nope! I love the image of Castiel sitting on the edge of the Grand Canyon. And can somebody please hurry up and kill Zachariah? You know I hate him so much! I'm wondering what wrinkles we helped iron out? :) Dark Side of the Moon is going down as one of my faves for sure just because of the broad range of emotions it brought out of me. These boys are absolutely breaking my heart this season. Author's Response: Hi, Sonya, I have to tell you, it's been very hard not to peek at the spoilers you and Sabine have been hunting down and sharing. But I've saved all the emails, and I'm going to treat myself the moment I send the final chapter to Sarah - lol. We have two issues that we're going to deal with to our satisfaction, actually. Date: 16/04/10 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Hmm...for some reason I didn't get a notification that you had posted the second chapter but I got a review notification so I came over to answer the review and behold, chapter two! Jules, do you know how hard it is to read this and not give away spoilers to you? :) I'm trying really hard! I love, love, love the confrontation about the panic room between Dean and Cas. I so want to see that on the show. Love this line of Dean's: "No! No, I didn't! See, my father gave me an order once. An order to kill my brother if I couldn't save him. The brother that I raised. The brother that I died and went to Hell for. And I couldn't do it. I still can't. It sucked, and it was so totally wrong, and he should never have laid that burden on his children! So don't you tell me about following your Father's orders blindly like a good little soldier! You have to do what you know is right, not what you're freakin' told!" AMEN! Can't wait to see what's in store for Sam when he comes face to face with Lucifer? Will he continue to stay strong? Love the fact that he is praying again. I so want to see his faith restored. Looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Hi, Sonya, Huh - that's weird. But then, I got five emails for reviews on one of the chapters, but when I looked, I only had three actual reviews. Still looking for the other two..... I know how hard it is, believe me! Do you know how hard it is to just keep flicking the SH discussion emails into the folder unread??...*tugs hair*....ARGH! I'm stoked that you loved the confrontation after Zachariah's little bombshell - he's such a sleazy little tattle-tail. Trying to isolate Dean from his allies again, just like I think he was trying to do in heaven. And we've been waiting for it to come out on the show, but there's been nothing. I'd have thought it, and the phone message, would have been dealt with on-air, so to speak. That's one thing that has sort of disappointed me so far about season 5. Because yeah, you're right - those were two major issues, especially the message. That was what really pushed Sam over the edge, because before that, he was starting to doubt that he was doing the right thing - even said to Ruby that Dean might be right about it all. And what would Dean have been thinking, giving his heartfelt apology only to have Sam - in his eyes - ignore it and keep on his chosen path. Ah, Sam - he's about to be in very hot water..... Jules

  Date: 23/04/10 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 I'm afraid to even say too much in a review for fear of accidentally giving something away so for now I'm just going to say: Holy crap Jules! :) How much longer until you can look at all those spoilers and watch the episodes? I still didn't get a notification for this update but I know when you usually update so I came looking for it this morning. :) Author's Response: Hi, Sonya - LOL. I know - Jane's jumping up and down dying to tell me something too. She's dropped a hint that I've shaved close to something in some episode, but she's zipped her lips and sat on her hands so she won't slip up and spoiler me. But I know as soon as she gets the first draft of the epilogue, she'll be straight on that email - LOL. Oh, I was hoping it would be this weekend, but I hit a wall last weekend - got chapter 4 done but came to a grinding halt on the epilogue. But I'm hoping I can have it completed by Sunday, so on Monday (public holiday here for Labour Day) I can dive into the SH folder and catch up on all the lovely goss. Date: 04/05/10 Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4 What a tease you are Jules! At least now you can read all those SH emails! I like how Castiel seems to be taking the initiative in this although things aren't looking too good for him right now. And poor Sammy! You've beaten our boy to a pulp but I love how he's still praying. You know I want to see that faith restored! I hate that Dean feels like the one person he could depend on not to lie to him has let him down but I'm glad it's all out in the open. People make mistakes...angels can too. Hopefully Dean can forgive. Not sure what Gabriel is up to but I hope it's something in favor of Team Free Will because they sure could use some help right now! Author's Response: I did! Almost caught up now. Only a couple of links and stuff to go - mostly pics. I hoovered up all the spoiler ones already - lol. No, things are looking rather gooey for Cas right now. But he stood up to his brother, for the sake of his friends, and that means a lot. And yep, Sam's in a bad way, but you know, I believe that Sam still has hung onto a little faith, because I believe it is an essential part of who Sam is. The beginning of Sam's downfall and his slide towards the darkside was when that faith took a few very hard hits, and crumbled for a while. Just one more secret to reveal, then all the dirty deeds will be out in the open. Then it's just a case of dealing with them....provided our heroes survive the confrontation...... Jules

Date: 06/05/10 Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5 If only it could end this way Jules but I fear it won't....especially since Gabriel is gone. That was one character I hated to see go! I love the whole last part of this once Dean finds Sam. Beautiful stuff in there. And of course I'm glad Dean knows about the phone message. I'm sure you're going to finish up with that in the epilogue. :) Have fun at the con! Can't wait for the full report. Date: 14/05/10 Title: Chapter 6: Epilogue Congrats on a lovely story for your 50th, Jules. I love the scene with Gabriel and Raphael trying to make things safe for Sam....that was funny and touching at the same time. I am still reeling from the finale. I think we all would love to see the brothers back together at the end, like in your story but the more I think about it, the more the ending they gave makes sense to me. I'm sure I won't be a popular person for saying that but eh, I never was one to win popularity contests. :) But that's all beside the point. This is a lovely story with some wonderful brother moments and I love how you tied up so many of the little issues that have been nagging at us. And if none of this makes sense I'll blame it on the fact that I'm at work and being a sneak while doing this! Author's Response: Thanks, Sonya. Hmm, I owe you an email this week - must remember to look at that favourites stuff and get back to you. Oh, I'm so glad you loved the Gabriel as Hank scene. I really hate the whole 'Sam being hunted' scenario, and wanted to have that laid to rest as neatly as possible. And what better way than to have the angels step in and discredit the hunters spreading the rumours? I'm still reeling from the finale as well. And yes, I can see why Sam would have gone down that road - how hard would it have been for him to live with what he had done, even though he didn't deliberately set about ending the world. But aw, hell, I so wanted a better end for him. Perhaps season 6....? I'd love for the brothers to actually get a chance at a life away from hunting, but to have one in hell and the other broken....that was so hard to take in. Thanks hun. I like to have as much as I possibly can tied up neatly. And that phone message, the amulet, and Cas letting Sam out have been bugging me ever since the end of season 4 - well, the amulet hasn't, but the other two things have. And they never brought it up! Date: 19/04/10 Title: Chapter 1: Blind Faith I certainly hope you're wrong but it's a good fic. The first thought that went through my mind when Dean stabbed Zach was the fact they had said only an angel could kill another angel but Sam also had a go at him so I'm hoping it's more the angel weapon that does the killing than the actual angel. I'm not saying it didn't rip my heart out but it totally makes sense when you stop to think about it. I actually think Kripke should have been allowed to end it when he wanted to but another part of me is selfish and glad that the boys will be back next season. :) Yes, I feel the way Mr Kripke ended it was right, many don't like the person Dean ended up with, but the poor guy just needs something normal...If the series had ended there I could live with that. But a season 6 is going to be really interesting, at least as Sera Gamble will be doing this one,and some of her storylines are great as well. We'll see!
