Hello!

I'm fairly new to the Supernatural fandom as I only saw my first episode in April of this year.  Let this serve as my apology to my family and friends who swore up and down that I would love this series.  You were right, guys!

I've been around the BtVS and Stargate fandoms for many years now.  Hopefully, I'll be able to entertain you with my Supernatural offerings.  I love to hear from readers, but am notorious for running out of time to send my personal thanks.

You can check out some of my other work at http://elerimc.livejournal.com/ or FF.net.  You can also follow my writing adventures (read: stumbling attempts to finish fics that are six years overdue!) on Twitter @SAHaga13.

I look forward to seeing what my fellow authors come up with in the future.  Until then, keep writing!

Eleri

Pre-series.

‘What do you remember about your dad?  I mean, what’s the first thing that pops into your head?....’

‘I was six or seven, and, uh, he took me shooting for the first time.  You know, bottles on a fence, that kind of thing.  I bull’s-eyed every one of them.  He gave me this smile, like….I don’t know….’

Thank you for pointing me in the direction of this beautiful little fic.  I can't tell you how nice it is to read about the John I believe we were supposed to see.  His entire conversation with Jim was especially poignant knowing what's going to happen to each of them.

Thanks for writing!

Eleri

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review!  I am glad you liked it.  I really enjoyed your story.  Particularly since I agree with you about John.  I see him as a man who was desperate, and always saw himself as barely ahead of the evil that was after his family.

Wow.  I wish I could find something other to say except "this was beautiful" but my mind is still processing this fic.  I think you captured a stunning moment in time in Dean's life, a brief reprieve he seldom gets or allows himself to have.  A lot of writers can't pull off a second person POV, but you did it here with perfect sincerity and no feeling of affectation.

Thank you for writing.

Eleri

Author's Response:

Thanks for reaing! This one was kind of a chage from my usual fayre - it's generally a lot more angst ridden and a fair bit more action packed, so it's really nice to know it worked.

I do like playing with tenses and different POVs, if only because it keeps me on my toes, so again, great to hear you liked it!

Hopefully, with the sun, will come some more of this style. It seems to be weather dependant...

This is absolutely heartbreaking.  I've read some of your work in other fandoms so I had high expectations when I clicked the link - you beat every one of them.  When Dean asks Sam to just keep driving for a while?  (sigh)  Wow.  Very powerful, very touching.

Thanks for writing!

Eleri

Author's Response: Thank you, Eleri, for such wonderful feedback!  It's always touching to hear people say they know me from other fandoms.

Chuck’s books mustered a good number of fans. One of them turned out to be the wrong kind of fan. When an obsessed woman finds out that Sam and Dean are real, the consequences for one of them are anything but nice. ‘Misery’ style.

This is a delightfully twisted piece of work.  Tell your brother I love the way his mind works and to keep the ideas coming.  I look forward to seeing what you have planned for Dean in the coming chapters, although I'm not sure he's going to last much longer the way Alice, I mean 'Alexa' is treating him.

Thanks for writing!

Eleri

Author's Response:

*g* Other than the cool initial plot bunny of the existence of a stalker, my brother doesn't even know that this story exists ;) But if he ever finds out, I'll be sure to tell him you liked it :D

Thank you!

Well, this 'crazy fan' thanks you for the wonderfully disturbing romp through Misery-land.  I'm sure Dean had loads of fun letting you test your ideas out on him.  <g>  There's just something you have to love about a fandom where we can take pot-shots at ourselves.  I loved the wrap up through Chuck's writings.

Keep writing!

Eleri

Author's Response: *g* And this crazy fan thanks you for your lovely reviews! And of course we need to make fun of our selves! Show me a fandom that doesn't have a couple of crazies in it and I bet you that its a very boring, very dead fandom ;o)

Well done.  A good, introspective look at Sam's continuing downward spiral and motivations.  The last paragraph especially is extremely powerful.

Thanks for writing!

Poor boy just keeps going downhill. It makes me sad for him.

This was very well done.  Your descriptions of disorientation and confusion drew me right into Sam's head and fight to come back.  When he realizes that Dean and home are synonymous it's a beautiful moment and I couldn't help but smile.

Thanks for writing!

Eleri

Author's Response:

Hi!!

Thank you!!

Yeah...I love some disoriented and confused Sam and I think that this was the right story to get that kink of mine crossed off the list! :))

aww that made you smile!? so cool!!! and yeah I think that no matter what, Dean will be Sam's home and vice versa....

Thanks for reading!!!!

hugs,

S.

Summary:

4.19 Jump the Shark tag. Someone needed to reach out and bridge the distance.  Take one small step toward fixing them. Sam wanted to help, do one thing right that would make Dean feel better instead of worse.

Reason dictated they move past this as quickly as possible and stay focused on the fate of the world.  Still, the offer had been extended and for some vague cause he couldn't justify, Dean cracked open the door.

Thank you for a lovely brotherly moment.  I'd missed the brothers this past season and this hit the spot for me.  Sam's attempts and need to climb over, break down or simply weasel through the cracks in Dean's emotional wall was such a nice thing to see and had a wonderful imagery to it.
