Ah yes, putting a banner into the summary - it took me awhile to figure out at first. 

In the summary box, at the bottom, there's a little button that says html and if you click it, it opens up a new window. In this new window you can put your image there using html tags and then go to update. The banner should appear in the summary box once you've done that and then when you scroll down and save the changes, it should appear in your summary as well ^_^ Hope that helps!!
