![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 12/11/09 Title: Chapter 10: Chapter 10 Sutures and Sympathy! Another story I read all the way through today, I just couldn't tear my eyes away from it. I enjoyed the suspense in the story, you kept me wanting to more about what going with Dean as well as Sam and Jo. You stopped each scene perfectly to add to the suspense as to what might come next to keep me reading and wanting more. I liked the twist of the angels it was an interesting idea and wouldn't mind seeing them again. You wrote hurt Dean very well, I felt so awful for him, the poor guy, I love it when he doesn't give in to Mikey, he didn't break not completely and he was awesome. Mikey was just horrible, I really hated that demon and was glad when they finally got rid of him. I don't think I would have liked to have met him anytime soon, you created quite a nasty demon there, I loved to hate him and what he did to Dean. Thanks for sharing. Gem x Author's Response: Hey Gem. (waves and smiles) Gee what a lovely review, such thoughtful words, thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and that you loved to hate Mikey! He is a nasty piece of work isn't he? And yes, I do tend to hurt our lovely Dean a bit...but I do put him back together mostly too! Thanks again for reviewing, means a lot. bev xx Summary:
This is the sequel to The Fallen and picks up three days after those events. Dean has his own inner daemons to face as he explores how his time with Mikey and the angels has changed him, as does funky bad-boy angel Uriel!
Amazing banner by BulletBabe - you rock Hun! So it's going to be an interesting journey for them both. I'd recommend you read The Fallen first if you have time as the characters in So Not An Angel have their birth there. References to Angels, God and religious faith and some swearing. Oh and of course, because it's me, descriptions of injuries and pain! but nothing too bad! As always I don't own the boys Kripke does lucky man! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 16/11/09 Title: Chapter 27: Chapter 27 Healing - Body and Soul So after having read "The Fallen" I was pleased to see that you had written another story with those wonderful angels and that horrible demon. Its took me two days to read this story from my mobile, I enjoyed every word of it and just didn't want to put it down, got kind of annoyed when I had to eat or sleep, lol!!! I loved reading more of the personalities of each of the angels especially Uriel what a cheeky so and so he was but it was lovely see that he wasn't so different to Dean in hiding his softer side under a load of bravado. You were so evil with what you put poor Dean through, but it was all very well written and I am so glad that you put him back together again. I particularly liked everyone banding together around Dean to protect him and mke sure that he was alright. He must have felt very loved and cared for in some way, even if he wouldn't admit it. Oh and bringing Mikey back to possess Michael was quite genius because in a way it gave Dean a chance to face his "demons" excuse the pun and defeat Mikey once and for all with the angels at his side. It was all very interesting reading how Dean's power developed as the story grew and I loved how he described it to Sam and Raphe. I am glad that he had Raphe to guide him and help him with those powers and that Dean actually felt a bond with the angel and opened up to him, I think this was very mature and really helped Dean cope with finding out what he was capable of doing. And boy is he powerful, I never would have imagined what he would be able to do with those powers. Once again putting others before himself and healing them before he even thought to seek help for his own wounds. I wouldn't have expected anything else from him. I am so pleased that after all the pain he experienced throughout with Mikey tormenting him and taking peoples pain as he healed them, that he at least didn't feel any at the end when Raphe was healing him. I liked that you left the story where it was because I like to imagine what they needed to discuss, also it might be cool if you let us know in another story in the future. Oh I have to mention Bobby, Sam and Jo. I loved reading their individual stories and how everything effected them. Sam was wonderfully protective with Dean against the angels and I loved reading him becoming quite fierce with that protectiveness too. Sam's concern for Dean was well written and I really felt his frustrations about what everything could mean for his brother, even hurting him unintentionally was emotional sutff. I really enjoyed this story and again the pacing and descriptions were excellent, thanks for sharing. Ge :o) xx Author's Response: you write wonderful reviews! they speak about the words and the emotion it causes you to feel and that rocks my world. Thanks for taking the time to read, i really appreciate it. You have made my day. bev xxxxxxx Summary:

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 12/11/09 Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8 Did ya get a bop on the head or something? This was a great story. Well written and I read it all the way through today. I enjoyed reading sappy Dean, he was so sweet, its almost a shame that "Proper" Dean couldn't retain more of his innocence and lighter perspectives on the things around him. Sam was wonderful, looking after Dean and being so patient with him, I felt so bad for Sam and how he was feeling, having to tell Dean who they really were and what they really did. I can imagine that it wasn't pleasant for Sam to have to rob Dean's innocence again in a way and plunge him back into such a dark world again. I loved Dean's fight with the vampires at the end, the instinct to protect Sam and help Bobby winning out over his lack of memory was nice to read, I silently cheered to see that Dean was coming to the rescue. The banter at the end with Bobby and Sam teasing Dean was also very sweet too, poor Dean, he's not going to live some of his actions down for a while, if Sam can help it. And what a cool addition with Dean's horror in finding out he didn't rememberhis baby, very clever insight into Dean's mind there. Thanks so much for sharing this story. Gem x Author's Response: Hey Gem. Oh I'm so glad you liked this one! I really enjoyed writing sweet sappy Dean and allowing him to be young and free for a little while. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 14/04/09 Title: Chapter 26: Chapter 26 WOW...........I'm not sure what to say for a second, I think I need to gather my thouhgts...........I have to say that I throughly enjoyed reading this story from beginning to end it was very compelling. I started reading a couple chapters at a time, but last night I started chapter 6 and I don't know what happened, I just kept reading and reading, I couldn't tear my eyes away. Before I knew it my poor old laptop died on me because the fan was going nuts and the power cable came out, it was about 12.45am, giving me an extra cliffhanger in the middle of one of your chapters, hehe. I couldn't wit to pick it up again this morning and finish the story. I really wanted to do a review of each chapter but I just couldn't tear myself away from the story, so i thought I will wait til the end. Anway, to say again I loved it, it was well written, and easy to follw. I loved the pacing and the flashbacks adding more depth to the story. And OMG what you did to Dean was so mean, but you did a good job in capturing the boys, and Bobby's personalities. I loved the tender moments between the brothers and Sam looking after Dean, you really captured their feelings and emotions well, my heart really ached for them all as each had to deal with their own issues, the moment Boobby hugged Dean in the bathroom made me well up. And wow Dean having daughter, what a clever twist, made for excellent angst and more meat on his backstory. I enjoyed the light note you left it on, I think that is needed it and good for Bobby getting the girl that made me smile. Phew that was a bit long. I just wanted to say I enjoyed it and I am looking forward to getting stucking with your other stories. Thank-you for your time and effort you put into the writing, I love reading a good story anyday, and because I am not a writer myself I appreciate those who have this special talent so that I can escape and enjoy other worlds for a little while. Thanks and keep up the good work. :o) Glitterbelle (Gemma) Author's Response: Hi Gemma WOW indeed. Thank you for the awesome review, made me smile. I'm very fond of this story, it's one of the better ones that I've written and I'm really pleased that people like it so much. I love when you read a story like that and you just can't stop and it thrills me that this is one that caught your imagination that way. Funny enough when I fleshed this out originally there was very little back story in it and the idea for Dean's daughter came to me late in the day, I was actually half way through writing when the thought struck me and I almost didn't use it as I don't normally like stories where to guys have kids but it just seemed to fit and it let me add so much more to the tale. I love the touchy feely bits between the brothers (please don't take that the wrong way! lol) The bits when the open up a bit to each other and Dean was in such a bad place in this one it made sense that he would lean on his brother. I love Bobby too and him and Dean always write well together for some reason. I always like to leave it on a high note, resolve things and let the boys have a happy moment after I've beaten the cr*p out of them :)! The reviewers on this site are great and without them it would be a struggle to keep going sometimes so I appreciate all and any support. Hope you enjoy the others you encounter, some of my stories I love and others I'm not sure about but it's all down to the reader, my best ones are probably this, Play Me and After Midnight - my personal favs! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 18/11/09 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Another good story. I liked the insight into how Dean may have been comparing himself and his time in Hell with his fathers own experiences. Its a shame that Dean doesn't know how amazing he is sometimes and I liked that Sam helped put the recprd straight and told Dean exactly that in the end. What better setting for reflection than the Grand Caynon, so sweet of Sam to take a recovering Dean there. Not only would it have been a nice surprise because Dean has always wanted to see it, but I think it was good for Dean's soul too, I think it has rejuvenated him a little. Very nicely written and who better to take care of Dean when Sam isn't nearby than John? Even if John might have been in Dean's imagination, it was what helped him hold on until help arrived, which was an excellent way to write Dean surviving after such a fall. Thanks for sharing. :o) Gem xx Author's Response: Thank you for reading, and for taking the time to leave such a great review. It's responses like that which make writing these stories absolutely worth it. Thanks again. Summary:

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 16/04/09 Title: Chapter 15: Game Over Well that was another story I just didn't want to tear my eyes away from, only when they started turing the same shape as my laptop screen. I did enjoy this one, I liked the scenes when you played inside Dean's poor head. It was very interesting that you explained more about the souls that Dean would have tortured in Hell, giving us more to think about, in the main storyline on the show, because I was wondering about the souls he would have tortured on the show and this was a pretty good perspective on that. I liked the introduction of Robert, I enjoyed reading his character as your story progressed, it was nice to see another family member that wasn't totally in the imediate Winchester circle. Thats another thing I have wondered about is how big the family is from the shows perspective, you know where are the Aunts, Uncles, cousins etc? I really did like him and the connection you gave him to Dean that was a nice touch, because it makes it feel like Dean isn't alone with his pain and torture anymore, I know that sounds bad that someone else felt it, because I wish they hadn't but at least Dean knows someone who understands some of his pain. I would love to see Robert turn up in some more hunts, maybe after this experience with the two of them Dean could connect to Roberts feelings in a small way as a residual side-effect, not a full-blown power but something to come from their shared experience. Maybe we could see Dean sensing Robert in trouble or something like that in the future, who knows? :o) Gosh and the chocie you made Sam make, that was awful, I really wasn't expecting him to put his revenge against Lilith before the wellfare of his brother and sending him back to hell rather than Ruby. Poor Dean feeling abdandoned, but I could almost feel the light in his eyes on my screen when Sam showed up to take him back and he realised Sam had come for him, that was wonderful. The twist with Ruby going into Dean was fun to read too, the thought of her inside Dean made me cringe, hehehe. Nicely written and I could feel their thoughts and emtions jump out of the screen at me, I love your descriptions. Once again I loved the lighter note at the end, they always need that and I am pleased that Dean forgave Sam, there was never any question he would, but I know it still hurt him, nice to see them together again and been given the chance to talk on the road to sort through things. Thanks for another great read, I loved it. I am off to find another one to sink my teeth into. I hope you don't mind. :o) Gemma P.S. Please don't stop writing. ;o) Author's Response: Hi Gemma Gosh what a lovely review. Thank you very much. Sorry about the delay in replying. It's been busy here. I wasn't sure about this story when I was writing it, it is kinda strange and for some reason I struggle with S4 stuff but reading it through again I was happier with it and your review made me smile. I liked Robert, he was the support in this story, rock solid against the odds. as for him turning up in other hunts, I just might! I was horrid to Dean in this but I was worse to Sam I think! I made him do some nasty things to his brother, poor soul. I always try to lighten my stories at the end and Ruby being in Dean was too good to miss so I'm pleased you liked this little bit, it was fun. Dean does forgive his brother at lot, but it is just who he is. Cheers and thank you again, Mary xx Summary:

I am pleased that he is doing a bit better and is home with Bobby, but he is so lost, I wonder how you can help him. I look forward to some more chapters from you please. I remember my review from chapter two and I just knew I would enjoy this story. I was wondering what Ruby had up her sleeve, I can't believe you fed Dean her demon blood, thats very demonically clever of you. Its going to be very interesting to see how it affects him. I can't wait, you have to keep writing this story please. I liked Sam's anguish over the situation too, but he made the right call, he couldn't lose his brother, they can deal with the backlash later. Oh what was Dean's vision of himself? I have to know. :o) Gemma xx Author's Response: Hi Gemma No worries, life gets busy sometimes, hence the fact that the update on this still hasn't been done yet, I promise it soon. Yeah, It was croatoan that gave me the idea, to kill the plague with demon blood. ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 18/11/09 Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8 I enjoyed reading this story, thanks for sharing it. How horrible for Dean to be paralysed in such away that he was still aware of everything that was going on around him and having to see and hear his little brother in his grief was very heartbreaking. I was so angry with Ruby, the way she knew what had happened to Dean and left him that way anyway. I never liked or trusted Ruby in the show, so you really brought out what I hated about Ruby with the way you wrote her. (Of I loved to hate Ruby) I think I could understand how angry Dean was feeling but also his hopelessness to be able to do anything. Very nice story. Gem :o) xxx Author's Response: Thanks (once more). Ruby was actually the most fun to write in this story - like you, I really loved to hate her over the course of the last season, so figuring out in which ways she might try to deceive the brothers and put that into a story was simply fun. I am sorry that I haven't reviewed earlier, real-life always gets in my way and I read the stories from this website on my mobile so I can't review as I read because my mobile is a bit basic. Anyway, I wanted to say thank-you for sharing this story and all the hard work you put into it. I haven't read a fan-fiction story like this one before and it was quite heart-wrenching and almost uncomfortable to read which is a credit to your writing because you really opened up how each of the characters were feeling and dealing with such a tough situation. I really felt awful for Dean at the end to be so vulnerable and have his self-worth stripped so horribly. I was very proud of Sam for being willing to stand by his brother no matter what happened to him(I wouldn't doubt that he would do anything less, just nice to see it confirmed.) I also enjoyed the character of Hudak, you really fleshed her out and made her story interesting too. I look forward to reading the sequel. Thanks again. ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 16/11/09 Title: Chapter 19: The Hole in the Ground Gang Oh you are such a meany, making us wait a little longer through the chapter to see what the Bendigo did with Dean. But you were very clever not to reveal it too soon, I liked it because it added to the suspense. :o) I enjoyed the conversation between Sam and Bobby, its always nice to see these two connect. Its helped Sam put things a little more in perspective and it helped him find out a fews about how Dean felt when he left for Stanford, I think this was well written and one of my favourite scenes of yours. I can feel their frustration about being stuck down that hole just waiting for the Bendigo to come back, I want them to be able to get out so much, but thats another credit to the way you are writing it because my longing for them to get out comes from the way you have written out their situation. At least they are all reunited in a way, even though poor Dean is pretty much out of it. You have made that Bendigo very creepy, him makes my skin crawl to know that he is anyway near Dean let alone holding him. I worry for Bobby being next on the menu, I can't wait to find out what happens next. I hope they find a way out soon and get Dean somewhere sfae before hisfoot falls off lol!!! Thanks for another good chapter, I for one would very much like you to continue. Gem xx :o) Author's Response: Thank you so much, Gem! Yup, dragging out the suspense... cackles. You need a lot of patience to read a multi-chapter... and to write it, I must say. I started this [and Woods] jut bursting with ideas but have never wanted to race them out and waste them on a four or five-chapter story. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than finding a new, meaty, 20+ chapter SPN fanfic, and I want these two stories to inspire that feeling in anyone who finds them. I do subscribe to the Dean-Bobby bond, but have never discounted his deep affection for Sam too... Sam just needs him in a different way, I think, because he is more self-sufficient. But yes, they are all together again now... I guess I better figure out a way to rescue them! Oops... I never thought of that! ;-) Hey, if you like these stories you might like graceofgod's stories... she's a wonderful writer who I believe posts mainly on here...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 29/11/09 Title: Chapter 20: The Beast in the Cellar Sorry its taken me a while to write a review, had a busy couple of weeks and just got a new laptop, so getting used to it. Another brilliant chapter. I particularly liked Bobby comforting Dean I thought that was nicely described and worked better for me than Sam doing it. While I love the brothers relationship and interactions with each, I also like to see their other relationships too, and I think Bobby and Dean's is quite special. It was funny, that Dean thought Bobby was joking about where they were, it really added to the concept of how annoying it is that they had been trying to find the things hideout and it was right under their noses the whole time. Sam is pretty amazing, he really wants his brother out of there and safe, doesn't he? I love protective, proactive Sam, he can be just like Dean when he wants to be. Oh and they way you gave Sam a taster of how it must of felt for Dean at the mercy of Lee. I think you have definitely opened up some new understanding for Sam about what his brother went through, but its horrible that he even got that glimpse. And how horrible of Sam to have to chose to let Bobby go into the hands of the Bendigo to save his brother, such a heartbreaking thing for him to have to go through. I am so worried for Bobby, my heart was pounding, while reading about him getting tossed around by the Bendigo, I hope he will be alright. Very clever way to get Kathleen up top, I liked that Dean still has a brain, under all that pain(hey that rhymed, lol) and managed to create a way for them to get out of this situation by manipulating the bendigo. Very nice. I can't wait to read the next chapter. Good stuff so far. Gem :o) xxx Author's Response: Hey Gem: glad you liked! I thought I would be closing it out with this chapter but there is still some story left to tell so C22 will be the last. Sam does rock in this one, huh? In fact, with his sheer ruthlessness in this chapter, the title is sort of a reference to him and not necessarily the wendigo... Summary:
John and Dean have to figure out what's going on with little Sammy. Years later Bobby faces the same problem

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 12/11/09 Title: Chapter 7: Chapter 7 Great story so far, please keep updating. I just have to know whats wrong with Sam. I enjoyed your writing of the younger versions of the Winchesters especially the talk between Dean and Sam concerning Sam's fears about hunting, I thought it was very sweet and touching. I can't believe that Dean is acting so harshly towards Sam. Sam is definitely not acting like himself and neither is Dean. I hope they get back to talking to each other soon and figure all this out. Where has Sam gone without his clothes? Thanks for sharing this story, I need more, pretty please. :o) Gem x Author's Response: Thank you so much for sending me your thoughts. I really appreciate it. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it. I usually update weekly, once in a while more often, if I have time. So more will be up by Monday. Hugs, Vonnie

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 16/11/09 Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8 This was another great chapter. I was really worried for Sam when he started to hear Dean calling for him and went out in his bare feet, trying to get to his brother regardless of the pain. That was really quite emotional stuff that "Dean" was spitting at Sam, definitely not things the real Dean would say, but still I wonder how Sam will react to what was send when he joins the land of the living again. I think he will be pretty hurt and might find it difficult to get over. You are so mean, I was holding my breath when Dean couldn't find Sam's pulse, I thought, no you wouldn't, would you? This is Dean's worse nightmare, its always horrible to read when the boys think they have lost their brother, so heart-wrenching. I was so relieved when Sam started making sounds, to show that he was still with them. I need to know that Sam will be okay, so I look forward to the next chapter. :o) Gem xx Author's Response: I promise Sam will be okay eventually. I had to hurt him badly to really give Dean the shock he needed. And Sam is going to be a mess emotionally for a while. Thanks for reviewing again. Hugs, Vonnie Summary:
Spoiler for Season Five. My Idea of what would happen if one said "YES" What happens when one brother says yes and becomes lost to the other. I bet Lucifer really wasn't expecting Dean to say that little word. I have to knw what happens next, so I'm off to read the next chapter. :o) Gem xx

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 16/11/09 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Poor Sam dreaming about the night Michael took Dean as his vessel. It must be so hard for him to have to relive that event over and over again. Must still be even harder that once again Dean stepped up and put himself before Sam to save him, not that we expect any less but it still hurts Sam so much. I am pleased to see that Bobby is taking good care of Sam, watching out for him so that he doesn't go off the rails in his search for his brother. I have wondering what would happen the boys if they said yes to their respect angels and those angels finally left them. I know Castiel showed Dean, buts its interesting to actually imagine it hppen now to Dean through your words. Poor Dean, why would Michael be so horrible as to leave Dean's body with no mention of where he is? its just not on really. Castiel searching for Dean is brilliant, I liked that he sad he won't quit trying to find his friend, I can feel his determination to find him. And why aren't the angels willing to help find Dean? Are they afraid of something? Is there more to this going? I have to find out more. :o) Gem xx

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 16/11/09 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Poor Dean, I am assume that this is who Johnny is. Its horrible to think that he has just been dumped by Michael. Its a small comfort that he has been befriended by a kind young man and is being taken care of in some small way too, that some actually cares about him. Interesting that this guys name is Samuel too, nice little touch and calling Dean, Johnny as well, quite clever. Is Samuel going to read a Supernatural book to Johnny? that would be interesting, to have him reading Dean and Sam's story to Johnny perhaps it helps Dean come back a little? Off to read the next chapter. :o) Gem xx

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 16/11/09 Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4 Wow, Anna has come to visit him? I didn't see this coming. So does this mean that on some level Dean is aware of what has happened to him, if he silently asked Anna to help him and his eyes started to tear up? Poor Dean. So his situation is a test for someone else, I have to know who, perhaps Sam or Castiel? Quite cruel to leave Dean this way though, but its reassuring to know that Anna is watching over him to keep him safe until Sam finds him. :o) Gem xx

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 16/11/09 Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5 Awww poor Sam, having to look at a badly burned body to see if its Dean. That must be such a hard and horrible thing to have to do. I can only imagine how many times over the last 4 months that Sam has had to do that and the relief he feels each time he discovers its not Dean. Oh Nooo!!! demons are after Dean too? Is there now end to the boys troubles, I really hope that Sam gets there in time. Poor Castiel showing a bit of self-doubt and guilt over not being able to locate Dean because of the protection he placed on Dean against Lucifer, Bobby was right to reassure him that he did the right thing and its not his fault. Castiel has gone too. Oh I have to know more. :o) Gem xx

![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 16/11/09 Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Well at least Michael had Anna watch out for Dean, I suppose thats something. Its so frustrating when the angels don't step up and do something because they say its not their place too, I find my self wanting to shake some sense into them lol!!! So we need to know why Anna didn't tell Castiel, why she has left Dean this way and what Castiel can do to help. If Dean's body is "failing him" does this mean that there is a time limit to all this. Sam has to get there fast, he should have taken a plane, but I suppose he would need to bring Dean home again so what better way than the Implala? Where has Anna sent Castiel and what is she up to? I'm not sure I believe her sincerity in her apologies to Dean. I have to know what she is doing. Off to read the next chapter. :o) Gem xx

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 16/11/09 Title: Chapter 7: Chapter 7 This was a great chapter. Sam's journey to get to Dean wasn't ever going to be easy was it. A demon trying to ram him off the road was a good way to take the story. I wonder if the demon has been watching and waiting for Sam to make a move towards his brother, and now he knows where he is the demons want to try and stop him. Its so exciting. Sam has to watch his back now while he is trying to get to Dean, I feel he has to get there pretty quick before anything happens at the hospital, poor Dean can't defend himself and I am still not convince about Anna's intentions. I hope Sam isn't too late. Looking forward to the next chapter. :o) Gem xx |
