Date: 15/02/09 Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4 This story keeps getting better and better; I loved Sam's threat at the end becasue no matter what, I still don't like Ruby. And Dean's performance in the beginning was hilarious. Author's Response: I must admit, I was curious about her in S3, but I definitely think she's bad news now. Especially for Sam - she's got plans for him, I'm sure, and none of them good. So happy that you liked Dean's idea of payback. Jules

Date: 20/02/09 Title: Chapter 5: Epilogue "Hell. What you had to go through." Sam drew in a shaky breath. "Havin' me as a brother." That was sad but at the same time it was nice to see Dean telling him that he was a pain in the ass but that he never hated having Sam as his brother. I could listen to Dean's thoughts clearly: "You're the best deal I could ever had." The humor at the end restored some of their balance and lifted their spirits; I LOL with:"Granted, you're more like Hancock than Superman, but I guess I can live with that." That was classic Sammy. I totally loved this story and I thank you very much for sharing it with us. See you next week! Thank you - that's so wonderful to hear your feedback. I often wonder what is going on in Sam's head - we don't always see behind the mask, but I can imagine that Sam being Sam, he would have a few truckloads of guilt stored up in there - especially after Dean going to hell for him. I recall how gutted he looked at the end of The Kids Are Alright, when he found out that all his mother's friends and associates had been systematically wiped out to cover the YED's tracks - such a weight on his young shoulders. So chuffed that you liked the Hancock line - Sam's got a rather sharp sense of humour - it doesn't come out very often, but when it does, he gets some pretty good zingers off, doesn't he? Yes, poor Don was always meant to die - sort of like the unfortunate blokes in red shirts in the Star Trek original series - if you saw a red shirt, you knew he was cannon-fodder..... I didn't cry (but believe me I wanted to) because Sam did the right thing at the end and because I know you will never break your rules. Ahh, another person convinced that I'm being faithful to my own rules. And yes, Sam did the right thing in the end. I have never believed that Sam is evil, but I do think he is being manipulated at every turn. He's convinced he's doing the right thing, despite using questionable methods to get the job done. There is hurt on both sides, and there are wrong deeds on both sides too. Date: 24/04/09 Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Another amazing chapter and I'm glad Sam will be in the next one. I have to say though, I don't care if Sam had a good reason for abandoning Dean (again!) -unless of course it was to save Dean's live-I hope big brother kicks his butt because Sam should've learned from Ruby's whole mess that they should stick together and trust each other. Can't wait to read what happens next. I'm glad you had a good time. It must've been awesome to see the boys. :) Author's Response: Thank you for that. Sam does have his reasons for running, and he han't had an easy time of it. As for some big brother butt-kicking - well, Dean's still got issues with Sam leaving again, and they're not going to just fade away because he's found his brother. And yes, it was just so awesome to meet the boys. I'm still pinching myself. Jensen's so shy, and Jared has such a sense of fun, he lights up the whole room. They're such polar opposites of their characters, I can't look at a screencap of Dean and think Jensen, and vice versa. And despite a couple of rocky moments, it was worth every penny flying down to Sydney, squeezing four women into one tiny motel room, and getting almost crushed in the flood of people getting through the doors when they opened at 9am. *happy sigh* Jules

Yes, it was pretty painful finding out what Sam had gone through - and it's not over yet. Sam's journals will take us right through his eadiation treatment as well, giving Dean a very vivid picture of what that part of his brother's life was like.
