Thanks for visiting my profile.

I've been a fan of the show "Supernatural" since the first episode aired. I remember reading about it in the 2005 TV Guide Fall Preview and thought it sounded interesting, plus I had been a fan of Jensen Ackles from "Dark Angel" and almost liked his character on "Smallville". I'll admit I never watched him on "Days of Our Lives", but I didn't watch that soap opera. I didn't know who Jared Padalecki was and it took me awhile to learn how to say his last name right, (LOL), but Eric Kripke did an excellent job of choosing these two actors to star in his show.

I have not posted any stories, but I love to read. I won't/can't read death fictions, but I love a good mystery and a hurt Dean or Sam stories are great, just as long as the brothers are together supporting and helping each other. Some favorite stories are ones that go by the Kripke time line based on the Pauley interview of 2006. But now that John's journal has been published , it looks like Mr. Kripke has changed his mind and the storyline again, placing Sam in college from 19 to 22, so three years instead of two. Dean now arrives at the beginning of Sam's senior year instead of his junior year.

A writer once said that they enjoy having someone point out what the reader likes about their story and what didn't work, so if I read a story, I always try to say something, though sometimes it may only be a thank you.

Just some personal information. I'm a nurse and work in a medical clinic. For extra money, I also house sit, taking care of my friends and co-workers pets while they are on vacation. I won't watch spiders or snakes, but have taken care of an assortment of animals ranging from white rats to clouded leopards and of course all the normal ones, dogs, cats and horses.

I have used the extra money to attend Supernatural conventions. I attended the convention that was held in Vancouver B.C. 2011 with my sister again for the third year. I was able to go on the Thursday location tour and our group visited Bordertown, where "Frontierland" and "AHBL" were filmed. My sister and I were able to go on the cruise with Misha and the weather was perfect. We had a wonderful time. What an awesome convention!

I was also able to attend the Chicago convention in October again. This was my fifth time flying to Chicago, but only the second time by myself. I had a wonderful time and even though I said it would be my last time attending a Chicago convention, because I need to save money for the Vancouver convention, I've already renewed my convention ticket again for next year.

I've enjoyed watching this season. I love that Dean and Sam are working together against the MoTW and the Leviathans, though I do miss the Impala. I hope fans of the show that drifted away over the past year will return again. I had trouble forgiving Mr. Kripke for "Swan Song", though I know many fans loved the ending, but it was very depressing for me. The first half of season six was a hard for me, but that was because I missed the brothers bond and we didn't know if Sam was going to get his soul back. I was very happy when Jensen announced that for the second half of season six, the brothers would be reunited for real. Through it all I will continue to watch "Supernatural" because of the two brothers, family, a cool car, good music, urban legends, hunting evil, saving people and investigating the supernatural. I watch the show because I want to smile, laugh, maybe be a little scared and just be entertained for an hour. I watch because of the two wonderful actors, Jensen and Jared and their performances each week.

Thanks for visiting and/or thanks for sharing your stories with me.

Take care.

Lori

Muffy,

I saw that this story made the recommended to read for the month and I always love to read it, so thought I would take time to say thanks again for sharing it with us.

I think you already know this is my favorite story out of the ones you have written.

There were so many great scenes. Dean on the plane, just trying to concentrate on getting to Sam and survive the flight.  Sam remembering Dean's phone number and at the end needing to get 'home', back to the Impala.  Of course the scene in the motel as Dean waited for Jason and Lisa to come see Sam, he was listing all the ways he could kill them, always smile when I read that section.

This story makes me smile, no matter how many times I read it.  This is the one that I can and have read more than once.

Thanks again for sharing it with us.

Take care.

Summary:

Add a pinch of The Snow Queen, a dash of A Christmas Carol, a taste of Anne Rice, a nest of vampires, 2 Vampire hunters, a portion of young Sam, a portion of teenage Dean, and a large helping of simmering John Winchester. Mix carefully and you have a Christmas tale only found in Supernatural.

I finally had time to start reading your stories.  Thanks for letting me know you had some posted here.

Not sure why I started reading the Christmas one first, but figured it would make me smile and it did.

I like how you wrote it from John's POV and showed us how much he loves his sons.  It was nice that the brothers could just be boys for a couple of days and enjoy the Christmas season.

The vampire hunt that John went on, nice tie into Gordon and when he killed his sister, also giving us a reason why John would have never told his boys about Gordon, knew he couldn't be trusted.

You did a great job with the description of the different scenes and settings.

Enjoyed this Winchester Christmas.

Thanks for sharing your story with us.

Author's Response:

Lori,

Thanks so much for another wonderful review and your stars. I’m glad you enjoyed my little Christmas tale and it made you smile. I like John, didn’t always agree with his choices, but never doubted he loved his sons.

I liked your story, but it was kinda sad.

Dean all alone on Christmas Eve thinking of his family.  It did sound like Dean to help Paul and his family, especially since there were children involved, but still shocking when he let them drive away with the Impala.

I did smile at the end when Sam called Dean.  Thanks for letting Dean have his Christmas wish, to talk to his brother.

Thanks for sharing your story with us.

Summary:

Dean silently wished he could feel so blissed out, that he could forget his time in Hell and actually enjoy Christmas with Sammy.  He wanted to bury his thoughts and take a real break, suddenly wanting to make this holiday special for his brother just like Sam had done for him last year.  Each it seems hadn’t felt like celebrating at the time, but for their brother they were willing to bury their own hurts and make it happen.

He could do this… for Sammy.

I totally love AVSC and hopefully in some small way this continues on the warm feelings of that episode into this year.  I think Dean and Sam can both use a pleasant respite.

I thought that Dean was really meeting images from the past.  So nice twist that he was unconscious on the floor and was remembering or being visited by memories of Christmas past.

I like how you had Sam decide to celebrate Christmas.  You also referenced last Christmas, so we knew the time frame of this story.  Which made it even better, Sam and Dean's Christmas present was being together again.

You did a wonderful job writing the brothers, but than we all know how well you can capture Dean voice, yet you got both the brothers in this chapter.

I could just picture Dean's face as the different emotions reflected on it.  Of course he wouldn't want to share anything that personal with Sam right away, but love Sam's determination and his love for his big brother.  Sam needed to know Dean's secret.

Wonderful ending to your story.  One of my favorite chapters.

Please keep sharing your stories with us.  I'll be here to read them. Also, thanks again for the wonderful story dedication in your AN's.

Author's Response:

Hey, Lori!

Always love hearing from you, you are such a positive, supportive reader and I so appreciate it.  One of these days I will even write that nice story I keep promising you, upbeat and happy.

You know how much I love Dean, and with Jensen portraying him, I don't feel like I can take credit for writing him well.  Jensen makes Dean come alive, and I am simply along for the ride, transcribing what happens in my head.

I'm always really happy to hear I capture Sam's voice.  He is a little harder for me, but so many Sam girls have helped me understand him better and Jared's acting again makes all that love come through plain and clear.

With all the secrets and lies (lol - actually the name of my next story ready to post--) that the boys are involved in right now on the show, it is refreshing to have them sit down and talk, for Sam to be able to pull out one of Dean's secrets and hopefully help him past the pain of his childhood.

Anyway, been super busy with my jury responsibilities, but got your wonderful email and will answer soon.

Later, B.J.

I am glad you liked this one.  I can handle dark as long as I know the boys come out all right in the end.

You are right about the end of the story being Dean holding Sam, that was the inspiration, that tragic final scene of AHBL1.  And yet the words still hold up for Sam holding Dean's limp body in MS and even NRFTW.  So much death and loss for those guys and so much shared pain.

Excellent story. Congratulations on your win.

Your description of Azazel was so creepy and yet so perfect.   Of course a demon would take pleasure in causing pain to a human.

I liked the neighbors description of the Winchester family. How Mary was so nice and believed in angels and how little Dean could melt hearts even at the age of four.

It was a surprise to read an entry from Mary after she had already died, but love how you had her keeping Sam company after he had died.  She knew that Dean was off making a deal to save Sam, just like her deal years ago to save John.  Just one big circle.  Loved her story and her apology to Sam and Dean.

Enjoyed reading your story. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I still love the four year old Dean thinking how fire can take everything, it can take your voice and it takes mommy's.  Than comparing it to movie and thinking only a dragon could have started the fire.   But the line that still really gets me is when Dean wonders why the angels took his mommy to heaven, why did they need her, didn't they have enough angels already.

Of course loved the ending, Dean keeping Sam safe from the fire, carrying his little brother to safety.

Excellent job writing Dean's POV from three different times in his life.

What an awesome banner you have for your story!

Thanks for sharing your story full of humor and drunken thoughts from Dean.  I never thought about how Dean was getting around drunk or Sam getting Dean dressed for the police station.  I could picture Dean getting scared when the shirt got stuck on his head.   You did a great job with Dean as usual, but also a great job with the story.  You don't write very many light hearted ones, so thanks.

You did a great job with the missing scene from this episode.  I remember that you loved watching this one.  Though I enjoyed this episode except for one scene, my  favorite moment was the video at the end, Jared's laughter and Jensen's expression when the song ended.

I always love reading your stories. I hope you keep sharing them with us.

Yes, what a pleasant surprise.  Doesn't the banner make the story?  ilaria does such a marvelous job, I just love her work.

I hadn't thought about Dean getting changed into his suit either, until Swordstress made a comment in a discussion we were having.  Once the thought was there, this story quickly came.

I actually love writing the humor ones, but there is so much angst lately on the show and with time a constant issue, I don't usually find the time to write the lighter ones.

I always appreciate your support and I intend to keep writing as time permits.  Now, if I could just win the lottery so I didn't have to go into that pesky job...

Never thought one could construct a prayer out of episode titles.

Cas must of helped.

Good job!

Take care,

Lori

Very good!

I caught three out of four of the episode titles.  I probably just blanked on "No Exit" as not  one I like to remember.

Nice AU scene for the plane ride during "Phantom Traveler" - thanks for the smile!

Enjoyed reading this, thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks for sharing your story with us.

If more people wrote such  wonderful 'drabble's' as this, I might read them.  Drabble's are to short - so thanks for posting a long one for us.  :)

You managed to pick some of my favorite episodes to write tags too. Enjoyed the scenes from "Benders" and "BUABS".

I did get a little nervous you might hit on the episode 3:16, so thank you for skipping it and jumping from the Morton house to when Dean is back from hell.  The drugstore scene was funny as Sam tried to figure out what to get and also believe Dean was really back with him.

I always enjoy reading tags to the "Jump the Shark" episode and you did a great job with an injured Sam and worried big brother Dean.

Thanks again for sharing your story with us.

Author's Response:

Thank you so very much.

Drabbles are a wee bit short, aren't they? I know lots of people love them, and I have written one actually - but it never got posted. It was not long after my grandfather died, and I was having trouble writing. A very good friend and fellow author from SN.tv - Windyfontaine - was chatting to me on MSN one night my time, and helped me get back into the swing of things by doing a drabble challenge with me. I have hers somewhere, as well as my own, on my computer's hard drive.

Didn't realise at the time that it was actually a drabble. And I never thought of posting it - it was merely an exercise to get me to stretch muscles that had become lax.

Oh, episode 3.16 - yikes! No, I couldn't have handled that one. There was no way I could have had one brother provide a little restock of comfort/hope out of that little scenario. The awesomely talented Bardicvoice actually wrote a truly heartbreaking tag to episode 3.16 - can't remember what it's called, but you'll find it posted on her Live Journal page. But be warned - you will sob your heart out before it's over.

So glad you loved the chemist scene with Sam getting all the wrong things because he was distracted by thoughts of his brother returning from Hell. And the JTS tag - that was a little mission of mine to get that one done, to fill in the blanks that I knew the show left out.

Thank you for your review - it's awesome.
