I believe a tissue alert was needed! I was crying by the end of the chapter for Dean. Sam and John really knew how to manipulate Dean to their bidding. My heart just broke when Dean realize he would literally be "stuck" for the rest of his life. How sad that just a few years later, Sam would leave Dean behind for a better future without him. Oh, the irony! I can't believe John actually told Sam to tell Dean that!! Now, this could readily explain Dean's lack of commitment at an older age. Well done!!

I was crying a little as I wrote it and a lot as I wrote the last one so be warned! I wanted to try and kinda tie it back to canon a bit and I'm glad that you think that it worked, because Dean was stuck and he can't commit because of that.

I also wanted the irony of Sam begging his brother not to leave when he did it to him - I was just too good to pass on!

Still had me tear up. John is really being selfish as well as Sam. So sad, that both will eventually abandone Dean for their own pursuits. I'm glad that Mary understood. John can tell himself all he wants that he is doing it for the "good" of the family, but in truth, it is for him that he is doing this heartbreaking action against Dean. I'm really enjoying your story.

I really enjoyed reading this chapter. Dean truly is jailbait at this point (only 15!), he still probably be jailbait at 16 in most states in the US. Mary should have been very careful. Love the visuals you painted of Dean, swoon.

Yikes! I've been reading  your fic and I'm biting my nails first for Sam and now for Dean! Dean is really in big time trouble! I hope he can last until sick Sammy can come to the rescue because there is no way that Dean can get out of this mess himself. Perhaps Sheriff Washington and Sam can save him. Rae-Ann is really creepy.

Yeah! John has finally made it to his boys and not a minute too soon! I had a feeling Christine wanted to chop off Smith's head! Go girl! Wow! I've just discovered this story and I'm am really hooked. It must have been awful for Mary to be burden with such a horrific event. I wonder too in your story if he is John's or not, but what matters most that John thinks Dean as his, so he is!

Well, I just read this story and great day! I hope Sam takes Dean to a hospital. I don't think Sam can help him by himself. Dean's injuries sound to severe. I look forward to reading the sequel.
