Seems my internet is possessed and the masterplan of that black-eyed son of a b**** is to never let me review this story. Lol! I'm not sure what gives you the opinion that I'm not as dangerous as my brother, but I suggest you change your mind. Seriously loved this line because people usually think because Sam chooses the path of least resistance that he is not as dangerous as Dean but I beg to differ. But I kinda get where Deb is coming from because when you don't know Dean it often seems like if he is uncaring and brash and a hard-case. Love this! Bring on the next chapter! Summary:

The YED made it seem when he was possessing John that it was a want of self-worth but that doesn't sit right with me because when crunch time comes, when the sh** hits the fan, most people, everyone chooses themselves. I think it takes someone stronger feeling a stronger emotion to choose to help someone else. And Dean has that! Great story. Summary:

  Date: 18/02/11 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Wow... I haven't been to ungen in a while school has me ridiculously busy but now that i see this i am so glad i decided to check the website today! It still amazes me the talent that is on this site And this story has just been added to my greatest hits. For me SPN has always been about the brotehrly love and a bond that transcends everything, and is so strong it defeats the greatest evil. This story is reminding me of that what i started to watch the show for... Thanks! Author's Response: Hi, Mandie, Hope school is going well. I'm with you - for me the bond between the brothers is what keeps me watching. And this episode - well, the two episodes, showcases how much the brothers mean to each other. Sam's utter relief when he finally hears Dean's voice, so much so that he turns his back on an enemy in order to get to his brother. And Dean, brushing the hair from his dying baby brother's eyes and shattering to pieces with Sam's death. It was a hard episode to watch, and a bit of a hard story to write given the depth of emotion. But the journey was worth it, and we're thrilled at the response. Thanks so much for reading. Date: 16/08/10 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2 This story is very interesting! Lately I have been reading a lot of stories where Dean has been misunderstood and it's true because of his rough exterior few people get the real Dean until they get to know him. Abby's character is definitely great. Adding a scientist to SPN, who knew? And I loved the silent communication between Dean and Sam reminds me of the look when the saw the suicidal teddy bear. That was funny. Bring on the next chapter! Author's Response: I love the silent communications. Its something I try to convey in my stories on occassion. Date: 16/08/10 Title: Chapter 11: Chapter 11 I loved the ending. it was kinda bittersweet for me. I'm sorry Abby lost her fiance but if he couldn't accept that life changes people he didn't deserve her. I'm glad she got to see our boys for who they really were especially Dean. I was thinking, you know, just a thought ;) that if Abigail was to ever need Dean and Sam agin I'd be more than happy to read that story too (hint! lol!). Great story overall. So sorry and yet glad it is over. Author's Response: It was a bittersweet ending for me too but necessary. Clearly she couldn't continue hunting with them or on her own and her finance jst wasn't getting it. I loved exploring Dean in this story since he's judged so superficially by so many people. You're not the first person to hint that they would like to see Abby back and I even went so far as to write the first chapter. It involved Dean's return from Hell but then I got Kripke'd and my premise of a hunt that involved a girl that could hear angels was taken over by Anna. Date: 12/09/10 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 I am seriously a sucker for the boys with a kid. The way how Ben is treated by Sam and Dean in your Ben Series just goes with everything they are. They are caring and loving and stern, all the things a good parent is. Loved how Hendrickson saw the routine and how Ben fit into that as well as the point that he made that John Winchester had trained his sons to be better than him.But I have to say that I am not necessarily a fan of Bobby in your stories. His characterisation seems unduly harsh and the way Dean is so mistrustful of him. It works for your story though. Sam is a great uncle and would make a great dad I think.And the way Dean acts with Ben shows a side of Dean Winchester that I love. The court scene was my favourite scene because we saw character developments in that procession that I could not ignore. An awesome read all in all. And I love the fact that it’s all done so I don’t have to wait for an update! Off to read the next story! I was never particularly a sucker for the guys with a child but the idea of Ben being Dean's son really grabbed hold with me. I'm to defend my Bobby. At the time that I wrote this I was still very stuck on the fact that in season two it seemed to me that someone knew what they guys were doing and that it could only really be either Bobby, Ellen or Jo. I was casting doubt on all of them because it increased tension. I think, given that information about the guys was getting out, that Dean would be very hesitant about exposing Ben to anyone. As a writer, it causes a reaction in readers when you bring beloved characters into doubt. I don't know how much of the rest of this you've read but I think I do Bobby justice by the end. Thank you so much for a detailed and insightful review. I agree with you, I wrote a different Bobby but that Bobby was from Dean's not-so-trustworthy point of view. Dean was nervous, scared and cautious - only years of conditioning enable him to trust Sam - given seasons 4 and 5 (I started this at the beginning of season 3) I doubt Dean would be that trusting of Sam when it comes to Ben. It’s a lot of emotion, a lot of mythology and the addition of Ben to the Winchester clan is epic. It really struck me how detailed you were in pointing out the changes that Ben has wrought on the Winchester’s routine. And Sam serving as another parent filling in where Dean cannot. It was really nice. I never thought that shooting a shotgun with one hand would break your wrists. There were many moments that had be saying awwwwwwwwww and a few choice words came out of my mouth when Amelia was cleansing Ben! The broken Dean when he thought Ben was dead was the most awful thing and I have to say you portrayed it well.Great read!Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. It was a fun story to write, the series was fun too. I set the length of this story as a challenge to myself, I wanted fine details. It took a long time and a lot of exhausting work. It was worth it though. A shot gun is actually nicnamed a wrist breaker. They can't be shot one handed without damaging the wrist, even for an adult. Gun enthusiasts generally laugh at TV shows where people fire shot guns one handed. Amelia was a fun character, one of my most evil. I liked the idea of an old woman being so powerful. I particularly like this story because of the conflict between Sam and Dean about Ben. I was wondering when that would happen. Also SNAFU and FUBAR caught my eye. So funny! lol! Again great story! Date: 14/08/10 Title: Chapter 11: Chapter 11 - Just Another Saturday Night I am so glad Dean finally got out. I was a little afraid of the torture Meg would inflict and the fact that she enjoyed it so much, that... Well I'll say now that I'm enjoying your hell. The seeming reprieve Dean gets from physical torture only to be brought low by mental one. And the way the demons taunt him...I imagine that's what SPN hell would be like if we'd been given more detail. I also love the use of the biblical verses to get across some of the more potent imagery. Sam's pain too struck me to the heart as well as Bobby's. You really showed his deep care for the Winchesters without belaboring the point. Wee!Dean, boy was he harsh to grown up Dean but I guess it makes sense. I liked the interaction especially as Dean didn't know who he was and I loved the charge when he accused Dean of never paying attention to him. Great Read! Author's Response: Thanks so much! It is awesome to get such a lovely review on an older story. While it was hard seeing Dean being tortured and abused in Hell, it was also very interesting to imagine what kind of torture would hurt him the most. Dean can take physical pain, he is tough and determined, but what has always most hurt him is the emotional stuff. Feeling like he wasn't the man Dad wanted him to be, feeling that his family would leave him. When I was writing this I had no idea Kripke would actually go there with angels and God in his universe. He was always so adamant that God wasn't a part of his Supernatural world, and yet so many signs pointed to heavenly intervention and really, who deserves to be saved by God more than a Winchester? I always see the love and devotion between Sam and Dean and I knew losing Dean would trigger so much pain and regret. While this story focuses more on Dean, the pain Sam and Bobby also felt was immense. I loved writing wee!Dean fighting for himself. Dean does need to practice self-care and in his rush toward manhood and his need to protect Sam, he did neglect his own desires and needs. I am very proud of this story, it seems to have come together very well. I am so glad you are enjoying it, thanks again, B.J. Summary:

It’s interesting that without Dean Sam doesn’t cope, he’s a shadow of the person he usually is. For as much as Sam longs for or needs the momentary peace from Dean when Dean is gone he gets edgy angsty and he shuts down. You writing was great in the whole, “it’s just another victim” from Sam and the toll that having Dean but not having him was having on him. The moment when he broke down was pure emotion for me.
