LOL Love Dean's reaction to the pictures. *snickers* Too funny!

Author's Response:

Can you imagine - LOL. Especially the one of him getting his face wiped in the middle of McDonalds. Poor Dean - he had no clue.

Hilarious! Love Sam's pranking Dean with the picture. *snickers* That's great!

Author's Response:

I think Sam would be a devious prankster when he got going - he's got the intelligence to carry out some pretty elaborate plans. So glad you loved the final prank. And thanks so much for sticking with this one - my earlier work was pretty rough.

Loved Dean's remark about single fathers. LOL And loved that he found out what Sam did to the gypsy for him.

Author's Response:

Thanks hun. There are a few more reveals for Dean yet.

Oh no, that's just what the boys DON'T need--more gypsy intervention in their lives!

Author's Response:

LOL, absolutely - it was a gypsy who started the whole mess in the first place.

Thanks for sticking with this, hun.

Awww, this is my favorite chapter: Dean giving Sam a hug to make him feel better, cuddling up next to him when he's scared of the monsters. Very sweet.

And love that real Dean's back in the end. LOL What a way to come back to yourself. I take it he doesn't remember anything?

Author's Response:

Nope, adult Dean doesn't remember a thing. And yep, what a rude awakening for both brothers - lol. And the fun isn't over yet.

I'm just not sure about this Alex chick. She's turning up a lot, and taking pictures of the boys on the sly...I'm reserving judgment on her.

Author's Response:

Lots of people were suspicious of poor Alex - but trust me, she's just got a serious case of puppy love.

LOVE a fierce, protective Sam! Also, loved the description of him having "the face of an avenging angel." I can SO picture it!

Author's Response:

Sam's so passionate - I found him hard to write when I first started out, so I tended to avoid him a bit. Because he is so passionate and feels so deeply, it's easy to get him wrong and have him too emotional. I'm always very careful with Sammy.

Ah, man--Dean is a handful, huh? Love the shaving scene.

Author's Response:

He is a handful - I just let my head go with this one. But I did think that Sam made a good big brother - lol.

Too funny! And also a little disconcerting to think about Sam helping a physically-adult Dean with bathroom stuff. LOL

Dean is just so cute and sweet as a four-year-old. I felt so bad for him when he was crying and when he thought Sam was mad at him.

Author's Response:

LOL, and for Sam, that had to be torture of the worst kind.

And yep, Dean is beyond cute. So glad you're still enjoying this.

Congrats on the nomination this just got in the SPN awards! I hadn't read it before, so I thought I'd give it a look.

Normally, I don't do the mentally-only age regression fics, but you've intrigued me now. I love gypsy curses, LOL.

Author's Response:

Aww, thanks Beth. Oh, goodness, this is such an old story - I hope you won't be disappointed. I can't quite believe that this old thing got in, actually. But the read count goes up consistently every week, so....go figure.

Hope you like it, despite its roughness.

Wow, I loved this!! It was incredible. You did so much with one little word. I love stories that reference Dean acting as sort of a surrogate parent for Sam, and where Sam realizes all Dean does for him. This was a great one.

I especially liked this: "You have to be completely bamboozled when your brother says that it's his job to look out for you as well. Because as far as you're concerned he has no job. Except to be your little brother. Forever." Cuz I know that's just how Dean feels.

Nicely done. I'm adding this to my favorites.

Author's Response: Thanks for such a lovely review bhoney!

Ah, nice, especially in light of all the things Sam did do to try and save Dean over this past summer. I have no doubt that if binding a reaper would've helped, he'd have attempted it. Nice touch that he'd memorized the ritual already. I thought he was being awfully easy-going about the whole thing.

Author's Response:

Hi Beth,

Thanks for the review. Faith is one of my favorite episodes bec it shows that the relationship between the brothers is a two-way street and Sam will do anything for Dean, as well as vice versa.

Hey there! You did a great job with this. I liked how you put in little clues throughout that helped the reader pick out which brother was talking.

And you did a great job setting the scene with just a few words too, especially with your use of sound when they were in the mine. Some really nice descriptions in here.

Neat idea, and well executed!

Author's Response:

Thanks for that, hon. This was one of those things that I always wanted to try, so I'm glad it actually worked. I have to tell you, though, it was getting really tough finding different ways to describe pitch-black darkness without getting repetitive - LOL! Thanks for reading, and reviewing. Reviews are gold to me.

Really interesting way to look at what's going on in Sam's subconscious through the words he chooses. I wondered if he'd realize that most of his words (the easily found ones, at least) were about hunting.

Now I have to go see if that game really exists. LOL

Nicely done!

I also meant to say that I loved this:

""You could've just yelled," Sam muttered to his sleeping brother." No he couldn't, because he's Dean. :)

And I loved this: "They were partners, and that meant that they should've been pretty evenly chomped on by supernaturals." LOL Love that Sam's complaining about not getting his fair share of chomping.

And: "Sam reckoned that Dean got chomped or stomped about 75 per cent of the time, his big brother protectiveness only paying lip-service to the equal partners idea." Awww...that's so like Dean.

Author's Response:

Hi Beth,

Wow, a repeat offender, er reviewer. Thanks for the additional input on the story. And hey, you commented on Dean's characterizaton in the story, even tho he's asleep through the whole snippet. That's got to be the sign of a dedicated Deangirl, right? (vbg)

I thought I'd check this out, since it got nominated in the UnGen awards. Congrats, by the way!

This made me so sad for Dean: "Things like the trophy were casualties in the battle of wills between John and Sam Winchester. Trophies and Dean."

Nice setup for the story. I can't believe you had Dean and the Impala go off a cliff. Holy cow! Hope Sam's motherhenning means he and Bobby quickly figure out Dean's in trouble--next time the boys should just rent a U-haul and take everything in one trip.

Awww...I LOVED this. SO sweet.

This was a lovely, poetic description: "They sat there, bright colour dusted over the once-blue quilt, a rainbow across faded sky, the soft tapping of laptop keys a light summer rain."

And this was a wonderful depiction of their relationship: "...he stared for a moment; remembering those eyes gazing back, caring for him, keeping him fighting. The child he'd sworn to protect, no matter how tall he grew...the pot of gold that was all he'd ever needed". *sniffle* Just beautiful.

Awww...that's so sad. But sweet. Smell is the most powerful memory trigger there is, so it makes total sense.

I was a little confused though--what does oatmeal have to do with banana bread? Do you use it when you make the bread? I've never made banana bread, which is probably why I'm clueless.

Anyway, neat idea, showing how the oatmeal reminds both boys of a better time.

Author's Response:

Hi Beth,

Hmm, might've been a little too subtle with my description, here. Or else I'm assuming that just because I'm familiar with something, everyone else is, too. Quaker Oats has a flavored instant weight control oatmeal that's called banana bread, bec it smells just like banana bread when it's cooking/being zapped in the microwave. I didn't want to say banana bread flavored oatmeal, so I skirted the issue, calling the oatmeal flavored oatmeal and having Sam think he wasn't going to tell Dean he bought it bec it reminded him of Mrs. Moore's home-baked banana bread. Oh, heck, I think my explanation's longer than the story;-)

Glad you liked this and thanks for the review.
