Author's Response: Wow, thanks for the review! 1) Don't worry, I fully intend to finish this story. 2) At the beginning of the story, Sam was gagged. He screamed against the gag, and they cut it off because they wanted to hear what his excuse was for killing Steve Wandell. So that's why he can talk...he doesn't have the gag on anymore. 3) I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean about "Joe slammed "gagged" Sam." Otherwise I'd try to explain that to you also. 4) I'm not sure what you mean by "punching the pounded hands. My guess is that you meant to say bounded hands. Sam is tied up to a chair, with his arms tied in the back. Joe walked behind Sam, and hit them with the sledgehammer. I hope that answers some of your questions! Anyway, thanks again for your review.
