Date: 16/08/09 Title: Chapter 5: Comfortably Numb when I read "The Woods..." I first shied away from the thought of Dean being sexually abused. But the more I read the more I wanted to know how you would let such a strong and selfaware of his masculinity man deal with such a mindblowing crime. And wow, you really didn't disappoint me. The way you describe Dean's trauma and how he tries to deal with it, or Sam's and Bobby's attempts of giving help but maybe making things more worse for Dean in his state of mind *sighs* Can't wait to read the next chappy, think you're one of the best writers out there and hope you will feed us with more of your excellent writing. luv, Susi
Author's Response: Susi: wow, thanks so much for your lovely review. I’m so glad you were able to get past that initial roadblock to read the first story… the subject matter had the potential to be really icky but I tried to be a subtle as I could in how I depicted it: to show the aftermath rather than include nastily pornographic accounts of the attacks. You make a really interesting point here: which is pretty much that the Dean we know and love would have fought what happened to him with every fiber of his being.Of course he was badly injured, which is a major factor in him not being able to defend himself. But there also are profound emotional and psychological reasons why he was so susceptible to the fantasy family the Benders created for him, and was totally disarmed and overwhelmed by LB’s assaults. I touched on them very subtly in the first story but they are going to be a big part of this one. I hope you continue to enjoy it, and thank so much for touching base – I really appreciate that you took the time!

But maybe it's good for Dean to meet another guy with a really big ego, who had to deal with a nightmare of his own. Good that Bobby and Sam try to help Dean with his alcoholism, but I can't help myself, I think they're going soft on him one day and it will backfire real big. luv, Susi Author's Response: Hey Susi! Yup, I needed an FBI agent in there for some exposition that got left out of Woods for the sake of pace, so I thought I might as well use one people might be familiar with! Date: 21/10/09 Title: Chapter 15: Scary Monsters and Super Creeps your story is one of my all time favorites. Didn't have time to read lately but now that I'm up to date again, wow did I miss some heavy stuff. Poor Dean, not only going through hell with the benders, now almost (hoping here!!) dying from the bear trap wound. And his so called last words for Sammy *sniff* made me cry and that was really embarrassing because I read this chapter at work *pouds* You're one of my all time fav writer, every chapter with a new twist and never getting boring. Now with only the reluctant help of Castiel, Sam must somehow convince a twenty-one year old firefighter, who looks alarmingly similar to Dean, that sometimes the bonds of brotherhood can not be broken even with angels and demons conspiring against them. **warning...some minor references to season five**
