Date: 19/11/08 Title: Chapter 1: It Only Hurts I'm not going to lie, this was hard to read. I'd like to think that Dean didn't go that far down the road. HOWEVER, I think you got it right- that is EXACTLY how someone human can become a demon. And it IS what Dean would have done eventually, if he didn't go there before being rescued from hell. Sniff. Date: 10/11/09 Title: Chapter 1: Wherein Brave Heroes go Hunting, and a Good Friend is Lost Thank you for the heads up that you're working on this one too. I'll get caught up on this now, so I'll be ready for both. I LOVE THE ERA!!!! I just had a Victorian/Goth/Steampunk Halloween party that was a ton of fun, so I'm glad to be reading this now. The language made me smile and had me thinking of the Georgette Heyer books. It may take me longer to get caught up on this one- busy times. I'll let you know what I think! Date: 11/11/09 Title: Chapter 2: In Which the Investigation Begins, and the Past Returns to Haunt Them This is so much fun. The "Engine of Love's Assault" made me laugh out loud. Vertiline is a fabulous character, I can't wait for her to tell Penelope off for Mrs. Jennings, who is awful. How interesting that she's attracted to Sam. Dean might not get all the action? I'm thrilled that you're enjoying it! Vertiline was one of those characters most people took some time to like, and I always adored her from the beginning. (Not that I don't adore Penelope, either... ;-P) To answer your question would give away a good portion of the story. ;)

Date: 15/11/09 Title: Chapter 5: During Which a Wager is Accepted, and the Creation of an Impressive Machine is Discussed I like how Penelope's scientists mind immediately started asking questions and coming up with theories about the death of Jessica and Mary Winchester. This whole story makes me smile- you've made the Victorian theme work so well! I'm almost all caught up, and my mind is buzzing with possibilities of where this story could end up! Author's Response: Penelope is nothing if not a scientist. ;) And I'm thrilled the story makes you smile. It has been part of my happy place when it comes to writing, and we're getting into the meat of the case file, now...

Date: 17/11/09 Title: Chapter 6: Wherein the Signs of a Conspiracy are Observed and a Grave Wound is Examined Oh yes, I was SO glad to see Sam hit Francis. It was VERY satisfying. I'm sorry you've been feeling poorly, but I'm all caught up now, and am looking forward to more. Feel better soon! I am so late in responding but I know you know why, so... ;) Chapter Six is where the story really starts to diverge from my original outline. Sam and Francis were supposed to have a formal duel, which was going to bring up subsequent angst on Vertiline's part not to mention yet another fight between Deane and Penelope... But I really wanted to get on with the case file. And it was pretty satisfying to have Sam punch Templeton. Short and sweet. Summary:
After what seems like a chance encounter with a succubus in a college bar, Dean and Sam learn about the Circle of Enoch — and the Enochian Prophecy that the Circle has sworn to fulfill; a prophecy where Sam is "the Destroyer" and his Ascension is the precursor to Armageddon. There's no way in hell the Winchesters are going to let that happen. But how do you stop Armageddon with nothing but a book bag full of notes and a glowing sword? This is the first "main" story in the Strange Angels 'verse. The second is Beneath the Hollow. Date: 20/12/09 Title: Chapter 4: Burning Inside Of COURSE I have to review the story! It's interesting, and pretty cool! I thought that her correcting the boys' latin was hilarious. I love the Circle of Enoch- VERY creepy. My grandparents were in Eastern Star, and my Dad was a Mason- I've attended some of the little ceremonies and couldn't help thinking of them as you were describing their activities. I figured if anyone could make fun of the Latin, it would be Charlotte. And I'm glad it's interesting; I worked hard on the research and on making the Circle of Enoch suitably evil... Though now I am re-reading it myself and have found numerous and embaressing typos. This is also the first SPN fanfic I had ever written, so I'm always tempted to go back and rewrite it but...it certainly shows my progression as a writer getting back into the swing of things. ;)

Date: 10/11/09 Title: Chapter 5: Barely enough time to sing You have GOT to finish this story! It is absolutely beautiful. Your narrative is lovely, and your characters are amazing. I love Jane with her quiet wisdom, and Alice who wants things so badly. This one's going to stick with me. *is blushing* My goal is to finish the story within the next couple of months. I want to work on it and another story, alternating chapters until both are done. Though writing this and By Gaslight at the same time should definitely be interesting... ;) And thank you again for the feedback about the characters. Alice is one of my favorite characters to write (for all that her internal voice drives me buggy) and I love Jane as well; I'm happy that her wisdom is coming through.

There are stories that I've written which I won't post here because, well, they are PWPs... I don't feel those are appropriate. I felt that this particular scene was necessary to the plot, in that it was a response to all of the violence that occurred. Date: 01/07/09 Title: Chapter 1: Take My Body Home Second Review! After our chat, I DID come back to re-read this, and yes, I do like your vision of the ending- although it's TOO SAD!!!! I'm sticking with my cliche'd western idea. It doesn't make me cry at the end. The story is still wonderful and painful. It's not often that I cry at stories, and now I've had two in one day.
