Poor Dean, afraid and alone in the dark before his brother's voice rescues him.

And as for transformers....toys of Satan! Three hours trying to transform them into something that vaguely looks like a car! Wish I'd had a girl!

Nice start, I love Dean struggling with Sam's 'other' life, 'cos poor Dean never got one.

Liked this line - for success, wealth, and for greatness - 'cos Dean is too, just in a different way, a hero for the people.

Favorited this and then saved to read all in the one go, and so glad I did. I always love your stories but there is something about this one that really reached in there and broke my heart, for both boys. What they want and what they are missing. All that, while still managing to give me the warm fuzzies as the Andersons rallied to give Dean a Christmas to remember.

I love that the brother's most important thing is still each other even though they are miles apart, Sam worrying and Dean trying not to make him worry. (and as usual going about it the wrong way!)

Don't think that there was a single bit in this that I didn't like, much more than 5 star!

I like the idea of just having the signs for the hunt, it would be something they could use even if Dean could hear, if they needed to be quiet, or there was noise to overcome.

Liked the swap of roles when Dean disability came into play and Dean not being happy about it! Nice little story as well with the ghosts and them reuniting them.

But Sam knew that Dean would never give in to his own wishes for peace. Dean's selfless nature meant he wasn't going to surrender. Ever. Not with the weight of the world literally resting on his shoulders. Not with the world unknowingly counting on him to kick Lucifer's ass and save them from the Apocalypse. Dean once said that he believed the world would end bloody but he was going to go down swinging. And he had. He did. And he was willing to do it again if that was what it took, even after all he had been through. Sam knew it and it made him proud just as much as it broke his heart.

Loved this, so spot on and Sammy, it breaks my heart too.

What a great summary on this, I'd have read it even if I hadn't seen your name next to it and what a story!

I absolutely loved each and every moment of it and I thought that Sam was going to shoot himself but he shot Dean!! OMG. And then Castiel arriving and pulling Sam away! *fails fangirlish*

As for the ending, well what can I say but absolutely bloody brilliant. Loved this as a one shot but I'd equally love to see more. A++++
