Author's Response: I have really tried to stress the theme of family love and loyalty in this: Dean’s loyalty to his family and brother, Sam’s too, the Gabe-Lee relationship, and Kathleen’s love for her brother, which is what first led her to help Dean in the episode. And that definitely follows through to the wendigo’s loyalty to what it perceives to be its family, and Kathleen’s musings on the fact it used to be human… ;-)

Date: 02/09/09 Title: Chapter 8: The Petrified Forest Sorry to hear you're disheartened. I don't typically review until the end of a story. You write very well & I'm enjoying this one so far. Author's Response: Hey thanks so much! It has been a bit of a downer... I do understand that a lot of people wait until a story is complete to read it and I have been burned a few times myself when I have gotten invested in something that just grinds to a halt and never updates. But sometimes I do wonder if some of those stories might not have updated because the lack of feedback totally demotivated the writer. I definitely know that it was the people who did review the first story over on FF on an ongoing basis that gave me the incentive to keep up with it. Anyhoo, have popped over here and discovered much more feedback than usual so I will press on and update here - I love visiting my banner! I'm really stoked that you're enjoying it and thanks so much for letting me know...
