It's brilliant if I see a story with your name next to it because I am assured quality writing, a superb natural style,excellent attention to detail and a different plot each time from somebody who knows the characters inside out and loves them as I do. Take a well earned break but have pity and don't be away too long. Ps have just twigged rating button d'oh . - su Author's Response: Thank you so much, Su. I'm really gratified to know that I don't overdo it with Sammy - it's easy to get him wrong. That tough hunter/heart on sleeve is a wicked combination, and a bit of a juggling act. Top marks to Jared for pulling it off time and time again. Wow - thank you - seriously. I read this during a pretty tough time, and it practically brought tears to my eyes. It's lovely to know that all my hard work pays off, and the I can bring pleasure to people while staying true to the characters Kripke and Co have brought to life. I have 2 brothers and a sister all well into our forties with our own children etc and we still play the 'I'm telling mum on you' card, so I loved Dean 'threatening ' to rat on Sam. Hope you manage to kick back and chill, you've had a rough year - have a gin and tonic for me - su Author's Response: LOL - I'm in my forties, too, and every now and then I'll do the "I'm dobbing on you!" defence. Thanks for that. After all the angst, I had to have my happy ending. (keeping everything crossed that the wonderful Mr Kripke gives me that by the end of season 5...) I have managed to kick back and relax a bit - cleaning the house today, actually - well, supposed to be cleaning the house.... Had some wine last night and slept like a log. Wireless internet's not happening - couldn't get a signal, even though there's an Optus tower about 500 metres west of the house. Date: 11/10/08 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2 I WAS going to say it was good to have you back, but after a cliffe like that !! "Christo" - just checking. Re 'Running on Empty' (which I really like) I think your story has only superficial similarities. This Sam is not having to wait be rescued from revenge driven sadists. This Sam is wounded (yay) but not a victim and very much in character (go Sammy) Hope you enjoyed your break, but not so much that you want another one just yet. Su x Oh, my goodness! Thanks, Su.
