![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 07/10/08 Title: Chapter 1: I heard your vioce through a photograph aaaaawh. Cal, that was beautifully angsty and very mysterious. I wonder, do the other chapters carry on were this one stopped? Do we get to read the letter? These were nice, especially put into contrast like this: “Congratulations, Sammy. It’s great.” “You bastard. You bastard, Sam.” They present the dilemma Dean finds himself in. Keep the gameface on and at the same time be angry (or maybe totally devasted, hard to say this early on and with a man like Dean hiding hurt behind anger) at Sammy. I like the drabble advance. You do them really well and the idea of posting a whole story consisting of short chappies is quite ingenious and appealing... Thanks, Hugs, Ilka (hope my review isn't longer than the whole story, heehee...) Author's Response: hey hun no, won't get to read the letter - next chapter deals with a key moment while they're apart. There's a lot of subtext to read into these - making folks work for their story! - a lot of stuff that you have to fill in for yourselves, which is why I set it around a time that's had so much written about it already. but yeah, he is hurt, and angry, and in one hell of a dilemma all the way through!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 23/11/08 Title: Chapter 2: I Thought It Up, It Brought Up The Past Cal, so few words and so much in them! The struggle to carry on without Sam on jobs laid out for three. The anger at his dad for closing the door on Sam. The inability to get Sam back into his life. Being ship-wrecked in the middle, in no man's land. Torn between those stubborn sons-of-bitches John and Sam. Hell, I wanna hold Dean tight. He is soooo miserable. And hey, I'll ignore that they didn't communicate in those lost years. If I am rewarded with a Cal angst-fest, hell, I'll do anything for it! Best and toughest lines to read were those that portray his true feelings. The fear of being alone. Poor boy. Love the formatting too... I don't want to be alone, Sammy. Ah, Dean. You're never alone. So many fangirls would gather you up and hug you tight till the tears dry away... Hugs, on to next one... Ilka

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 23/11/08 Title: Chapter 3: But Once You Know You Can Never Go Back Beautiful Cal. Beautiful. You have a great feeling for the arc of the story. Starting the day Sam leaves, arching across those empty years and ending with the beginning (of the show)! Great. And I love your allusions to rain and fire. Best and most terrific line: ...and all he could think was that the rain had stolen his brother away, and it was the fire that brought him back. In the first para I was a little confused and thought you had forwarded to AHBL part 2. When Dean doesn't know what to do. But as I read on it became clear. Watching Jess burning at the ceiling the fire brings Sam back into his life. And hell, I am glad for that. Poor Jess. But it had to be done. Or else we'd have nothing to write and drool about... Hugs, thanks for sharing. Ilka Summary: Character study, I guess. First ever time writing poetry! (and slightly terrifed...)

Wonderful formatting, too... However, it also contains the best ever written paragraph I have yet come across in fanfiction. Terrific! Talented! Totally awed. I like how the slightly sexy scene connects with Dean's real thoughts and misgivings. How thoughts and action wrap around each other like lovers and how they contradict each other. Like lovers. very VERY evocative and it will be in my own special hall of fame... Oh, and what a purdy banner. Poor Dean, I like him when he is in doubt and thought. Ah, I wish I was that spirit girl.... mmmmmh Hugs ya and only na few hours till we see eye to eye. YAY! Ilka Author's Response: Ah, hun, you can always be my first review! So glad you like it - and thank you so much for the help! that last section just didn't want to play til I hashed it out with you, then you sparked something and it finally clicked... And do you not recognise the spirit girl? That shot ain't quite all it seems to be... look closely! Bit of memory, bit of forboding - wanted to leave the lines a little blurred as to who it was, so I'm glad it worked! Thanks hun, as always. cal Summary:

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 06/01/09 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Muffy! Looks like this one is gonna be a long one, too. But to quote Dean: Sweetheart, I don't do short(s)! Heh--- When scary things run, it’s bad. Who you gonna call? Custodes! Sorry, bad joke. But Rob should know. The Keepers hunt those creatures that even scare bad things! Can't wait to see what kind of creature it is... Sounds a mean mother... pulled a folio down, he carried it back to the table in the kitchen and opened it. Cute bonding over research! They are both such geeks! Both baby brothers running off to check on Dean and Galen. Protective kid brothers are my favourite only second to hurt and protective older brothers, hehehehe. Those two older men certainly need to stop sacrificing themselves for others ----*tuts* Galen coughed and took a shuddering breath. Ouch! Hurt!Galen. Party-time... Drool bucket is nearly full already... “I just assumed you were since you didn’t notice that dent I put in the Impala.”“You did what to my car?” “Bitch.” Dean reached for his hand. “Jerk.” Hehehe. That was kind of a low blow, Sam. However it worked. And the Bitch/Jerk banter always is fun. And so affectionate. Like sayin “I love you!” in the Winchester way. “I understand,” Galen said. “You’ll wake up, I give my word.” Aw. Dean needs to say good-bye to Sam just in case he doesn't make it (which won't happen, right? RIGHT?). And the way Galen understands that need. Aw, I am melting like snow in the sun here for both of them. “I don’t like this,” Sam and Rob said together. Galen and Dean sighed. HA! Hilarious. Mother-henning Rob and Sam and annoyed big bros... Love this so much! Thank you for the crossover, Muffy. Turns out to be even better than in my wildest (drool-soaked) dreams. “A little longer,” he whispered. Sam was startled by the strain in his voice, it sounded like he was nearly out of breath. “Galen, no.” Rob’s eyes snapped open, he looked at Galen. “Stop.” Oh, gee, Galen. Stop! Don't go too far again! And I am actually glad Sam gets how well-meaning the Emrys brothers really are. Finally. For all the nerdiness and sharp mind, sometimes Sam isn't really that quick on the uptake, now, is he? Rob sighed in frustration, Sam recognized the sound, he made it himself when his brother did something particularly dangerous or annoying. “He wouldn’t stop.” Heh. Sam and Rob. So cursed with their wonderful brothers, aren't they? Well, I would happily free them of their burdens from time to time... Just think of that! Galen AND Dean... so, gonna need a cold shower later... Jesus, it's hot in here! *fans herself* “Better than you look.” A slow smile spread across Sam’s face. He reached out and pulled Dean up against him for a moment. Aw, how very like Dean to make a joke about himself being able to see again. Not chick-flicky at all. Apart from the hug. Which both of them do so need right now. And they do make marvelous brotherly hugs, don't they? That scene from the premiere? Hell! BEST. HUG. EVER. “I always look good.” Oh yeah... *slips fainting from chair and connects hard with desk on the way down* *thud* totally silly fan-girl moment... “Good. Rob, why don’t you and Sam head over to Becci’s and get us all some coffee?” Galen said with a smile. “No,” Sam and Rob said together. Galen looked at Dean and rolled his eyes. “Rob.” “Sam.” LOL. Stubborn protective pains in the asses. My lil sis is just like that, too. The times she tells me off... worse than mom and dad! Yet at the same time even more protective and caring, or rather on a different level than parental care and love. Quick wave at you, Judith, loves ya! Not that you'll ever read any of this. Heh. You just think I am nuts. “Protective,” Galen said. “Yours, too,” Dean replied. Well, how true is that?! And HAHA! ROTFL. *grins* “I was dead for awhile, now that I’m back, he worries.” Ooooh, could have been Dean talking about Sammy if it was set in Season 4. The way their lives seem to be the same sometimes. Awesome creations, your two brothers... Awesome. “It’s a long story, maybe I’ll have a chance to tell you later.” Don't spoil me, Galen! Haven't finished reading it yet! Trying to drag it out as long as I can. I will miss the Emrys brothers very much once I am done. Oh, don't even think about this, Ilka. You'll make yourself cry... STOP! NOW! *sighs and wipes at eyes* “Are you planning to go after it?” Well, what do you think? Duh. “Maybe.” Damn right DUH! 'Course they are! They are hunters! “No, your translation’s wrong, that’s a medieval variant of the Latin,” Rob’s voice came from the living room. “I don’t think so, if you look at the declension, it clearly says…” Sam said indignantly. Like peas in a pod! Geeks if ever there were any! ROTFLMAO... Hell, this is better than I dreamed it would be! Terrific. “You have to check out that coffee stand before we go, Dean,” Sam said with a grin, handing Dean a cup. “Yeah?” “Oh, yeah.” Sam chuckled. Oh please... Dean will love that! And so might the coffee girl! That handsome green-eyed hunter sure is easy on the eyes! No, not objectifying Dean, just stating facts here! Sam said, his eyes bright with unshed tears. Oh don't, Sammy. Don't go all emo now that it's almost looking good! I dunno why but the emotional bond between the Keepers is different to the one between Dean and Sam. I can really stand and even enjoy if Galen and Rob are sharing and caring. Maybe that is the most obvious difference between the pairs of bothers. I get all annoyed with poor Sammy when his eyes are brimming with tears. Much like Dean. Maybe it is because I identify with his POV so much in those situations. Whereas if Rob and Galen shed tears I can totally accept it. Again, might be because those two men don't have such a hard time showing their true emotions... Guess I am easily influenced, huh? Well, that makes me a perfect reader, doesn't it? Teaming up! Yay.... Let the fun begin.... Soon! Please? Pretty please? *nudges* *pokes* *clubs* Really, I gotta say. I love this story and would love to go hunting with the four of them and maybe see Galen and Dean suffer from the dormant poison... aaaaw. Lovely drool-inducing image, mmmmmh, yummy. Take care, Muffy! Ilka Author's Response: Oh thank you so much! And the nudging, poking and clubbing will bear fruit as soon as I recover LOL I plan to start the next story next week and promise Hurt DEAN AND HURT GALEN :) HUgs, Muffy

Hey Muffy. First things first: A Happy New Year! Now on different matters: WOW, just WOW. I have to admit I was delaying to start on this piece as I am still not finished with The Legacy. But how awesome to have my favourite bother teams in one story? I gotta tell ya I am so in love with Galen and have been a Dean-girl ever since I've started watching the show. To be able to drool over both of 'em is just unnaturally awesome. The slight differences between both characters are very obvious when they are in the same room. However, the shared qualities (big brothers, caring, protective, handsome.... want me to go on?) are even more pronounced now that they are so close to each other. Hell, I thank you so much for inventing the Emrys brothers and have them meet the Winchesters! And I so owe Bev and Jane for the book! Thank you for signing it, hun! Such a treat. Now, on to my quoting routine: “he’s in and out. I’m not sure he can see anymore.” “He hasn’t mentioned it. It’s just a guess”... Oh dear, that is so like Dean to try and hide his pain and injuries as long as possible. And is so very like Sam to pierce through the wall of bravado or indifference and see what's really going on! Awesome. I love me an injured Dean, but injured and disabled is far better, heh. Call me a sick puppy! vomiting, dark blood splattering the wet pavement. … OUCH! Dark blood is never a good sign, is it? Even if it isn't a supernatural being that causes it. And vomiting blood is bad too. So, if combined they sure mean impending death. *shivers and trembles* Hope gentle Galen will be able to help him. “Stay away,” Sam said, standing between Rob and the man in the car. Suspicion had darkened Sam’s face. Aw. Over-protective and panicky Sam. Tall sentinel towering over the Emrys brothers, ready to punch them. A wall of Sam protecting Dean from possible threats. It is as much a heartbreaking view as it is really dangerous. He would fight to death if Rob and Galen would dare to hurt Dean even more. Very good. I am a bit sad that Rob and Sam don't seem to like each other too much. Maybe they are both too alike in their stubbornness and geekiness. Will they become at least accustomed? I'd love to see them gang up on their big bros to pull some pranks or quipping banters... a convulsion ripped through his body. Geez, that so isn't healthy. He is quickly deteriorating, isn't he? Wait, lemme get my drool bucket up and running... Heh. SO love a totally hurt Dean. frowning at Galen. He looked like he was ready to take a swing. See above mentioned! He would take a swing! Careful Galen, wouldn't wanna add to those scars! On second thought, Oh Hell yeah! Let's do that! Chicks (like me) dig scars! Ask Dean! That is if he is still conscious enough to agree... “Okay,” Dean said. “Dean? Are you sure?” Sam asked quietly. “I’m okay, Sam.” I’m lying Sam. “Yeah, I know.” Aw. Not good if Dean repeats OK one too many times. And how touching and sad when he thinks “I'm lying”. Well, he certainly is. That is so Dean. But the Winchesters have their own bond which makes them feel/know what the other is really going through, don't they. Not as magical as with Rob and Galen. But sweet and very, very touching. And the way Sam seems to buy the lie yet at the same time answering the unspoken honest account of Dean's state. Love this! Very skilled writing. So few words with many, many layers. Wish I could do that. I am very long-winded... as you probably already noticed judging from the length of this drool induced review. He offered a hand to Sam, the other man brushed aside the offer of help Geez, Sam! Let them help! Give the Healer a chance, dammit! Don't be an ass! For once, open up... uh, I can't believe I just wrote that! Sammy Mr caring-and-sharing clamming up and refraining to share. Well, it is one of their biggest family rules to shut up about their lives when they talk to strangers. But surely, Sammy must feel the goodness in the Emrys' hearts. On the other hand, he is so panic-stricken he might not! Aw, I hurt for Sam as much as for poor dying Dean... "It’s bad.” “Very bad.” Oh, so not good if Dean admits he is in pain. SO NOT GOOD. Oooh, I already like this story so much! Please update soon. Oh um, when is the next volume of the custodes noctis due? Can' wait! Oh yeah, and make Dean suffer a little more, please... oh and Galen! Heh. Pervert, I know. Hugs ya, Ilka Author's Response: Oh I am so glad you like this *hugs you* I just love the way the boys all got along, although all four voices was a little more than my mind could take at times! HUgs, Muffy Summary:

You did a great job here. Like listening to a real person telling a real story. I liked the angle... Like you actually told a true story! And that story around the actual one. Liking it big time! Best line (coz it made me laugh!) "I stopped to drool." So what I'd have done, hahhahaaaaa. Go ask Cal about my drooling issue. She'll tell ya! And isn't she a wonderful person? She showed me the banner for your story and I made a mental note to go and check the story out as soon as it was up. I gotta say: NO REGRETS! Keep 'em coming. Like your style. Very precise and down to the most important things. And, awh. Those boys are such loving brothers. I guess that's what really stopped the haunting! All in all: I WANNA HEAR ANOTHER STORY, PLEASE! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 20/11/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 - The Conversation Hey B.J. WOW. Just WOW. I loved your angle. The angels are very intriguing and as I feel one of the best additions to the characters on the show so far. The conflict between Castiel and Uriel is brilliantly portrayed. Well done! Uriel almost sounds like Lucifer once when he asked God why he should bow down to humanity! Careful, Uri! It's a dangerous path! And the way you let Castiel analyse and defend BOTH Winchesters, terrific! You definately know what the boys' true intentions and drives are! GREAT JOB! Best part and The Essence Of Dean: ...this Dean Winchester, despite or perhaps because of his hard exterior, was the most fascinating. He sensed so many conflicting emotions when he was in his presence, so many layers contradicting each other, intricately woven into the tapestry of his personality, making this man the most puzzling of them all. "He cares." ... All the essentials to describe the wonderful character Dean Winchester. Those layers are the most intriguing thing about him, apart from eyes, lips, freckles, legs, bum... (you get what I mean, right?) Featured story: TOO. DAMNED.RIGHT. Excellent. And it actually inspires me to do a oneshot! Thank you so much for writing. Feature well-deserved! Cheers, Ilka Author's Response: Wow, Ilka, what a wonderful review, much appreciated. I too love the addition of the angels and I love the diversity of them, how they do see the Winchesters differently. Uriel is touching on that line he shouldn't cross over in his insubordination, he had best watch out! I love how Castiel is observing and trying to understand Dean, you can see it in Misha's eyes with every meeting. He and Jensen have such terrific chemistry and seeing them interact is a joy. Sam is such a huge part of the picture and I loved how broken he was after finally meeting an angel and being disappointed. Dean really stepped up tho and played the big brother, something that I know he will continue to do regardless of what Uriel and the other angels think of his brother. Dean KNOWS Sam and he has never played by anyone's rules but his own(and Dad's). Kripke certainly has laid out an intriguing plot and I can't wait to see where it all leads. Thanks again for taking the time to write such an insightful review. Take care, B.J. Summary:

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 06/12/08 Title: Chapter 1: Among the Dead Oh Cal, you know I love this piece. And as I am in position of knowing how the series will continue, I can only advise people to stick with this epic masterpiece. It's like the show on TV... only a little more twisted - in a calUK-good kinda way. OK quoting session about to start: Staring blearily out through the thin gap, caged by his lashes, ...... mmmmh, love it when they do that, luckily they always do it, so always love it, hahha... even though this is Sammy... I think I am starting to like Sam. Even on the show. Like as in *drool all over him*. He is pretty sexy this season. Dark, fierce, potentially demonic. Aw, bring on January 15! Glad you've started this series. It will shorten the time to pass... the dawn light creeping through the thin gap in the curtains, gilding the hollow motel room with a beautiful lie. ..... beautiful! just brilliant. And very eerie. A beautiful lie creeping in with daylight.... A sentence worth an essay in a literature course... John scene: You do such a lovely and distraught yet strong John. A father, a worrier, a widdowed husband... a hunter and Winchester. Family and job. Love the way the signs underline the waning proximity to the boys and the concentration on the job growing accordingly. Terrific! In a perfectly choreographed chain reaction, his feet tangled up in the packets and he staggered again, legs hitting the couch at an angle and he went flying, the shopping crashing to the floor around him as he landed awkwardly on the cushions..... skilled hunter and cat-like grace! More like slapstick. Love me a clumsy Dean. He always gets so pissed off if he messes up. And I LOVE me a pissed off Dean. *drools* He struggled to hold it at his side, trembling, knowing at least half of the anger wasn't directed at his brother at all, but still barely able to contain it. ..... Good thing Dean leaves otherwise there might have been punches thrown and bruises to attend to... Wait. Did I say it was good that he left? Love me some cuts and bruises. And btw: Teenage testosterone tantrum. Short TTT. There should be an entry in Gray's Anatomy (not the show but the book for medical studies!) covering this very common and incurable disease. Maybe they will invent a cure some day? What if he isn't coming back? ... Aw sweet vulnerable teen!Dean. Lemme hug him till he's better. Do I sound like a bad, perverted person? Honestly, no smutty intentions. My heart just bleeds for the boys... They really had a sucky childhood!"Dammit..." he ground out, vision blurring as he hung desperately onto the rough bark, head down, fighting to breathe through the nausea and pounding headache, black spots dancing across the fog behind his eyes. ... I'll make an exception to above mentioned opinion. Even teen!Dean is yummy when hurt and weakened. I am speaking as the eternal teenager living inside me. The teenager that fell in love with Dean Winchester. The teenager who is a total FANGIRL! "You got a nice burn going on, Dean. Look like a lobster." "Shut it, runt." "Or maybe a baboon's ass." Lovely humour and brotherly banter. Made me grin and finally (on reading the baboon's ass) laugh out loud and clap. Way to go snarky Sammy! *grins*...... *is flustered* Um. Sorry Dean. Um. ehem. me bad, bad, bad Dean-girl. *goes to hide behind sofa* he didn’t need to read minds to know the question wasn’t the one his brother had started to ask. .... even at that age... they can already read each others thoughts, perfectly in sync.... love this. "No. Carpet sucked. Even before you redecorated." Lol... Just like them. Very in character humour in this story, Cal. Great! And just like that, it was okay again for a while. .... That's just the way it is for them, isn't it? They laugh and then for a short while everything falls back into place... for a while their lives seem normal. Ah, I so hope they had a fair share of "normal" even in their weird lives... OK. That's it. It's official. I LOVE THIS. Roll on the next one... Brilliant start of series... Hugs and snogs, Ilka
Author's Response: oops, haven't responded... sorry! glad you (still!) like it - and love the TTT - so true. it should definately be in Grey's! Later hun! Cal Summary:

Words they would never dare to speak! *sobs* Hugs, Ilka Summary: This is more holiday brotherly schmoop. Both wee!chester and present day. Kinda sorta a sequel to "I'll Be Home for Christmas". Dean trying everything to keep the legend real for just a little while longer. To let Sam be a kid. And then present Dean, again trying to get his brother's brooding mind to think of something cheerful. That's just so touching. And not a wee bit sappy... well, maybe a little. But I get sappy at Christmas all the time, so it's fine with me! Thanks for sharing. And sorry for not reviewing lately. Been really busy in real life. Don't ask! Hugs, Ilka Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed this little story. I've no idea why I'm writing a wee bit of sappiness lately, but hey, it's just good to be writing.

A poem is always nice to read, a Christmas poem even more. However, a Supernatural Christmas Poem is the BEST prezzie to get! I laughed out loud at the whimper and the frown! So Sammy... Guess I have to learn the whole thing by heart now. LOVELY. This will go so well with SN-customized baubles! Awesome! Ta! Can't believe it! Hope you win! Merry Christmas! Ilka aka RoweenaC Author's Response: Ilka, It took me this long to finally find words to thank you for your review. Hehe I agree a Supernatural Christmas Poem is a very good present. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 06/04/10 Title: Chapter 1: The Gift aw *fuzzy christmasy feeling inside* Great oneshot, chick. Even though it's in the 70s outside and the sun's out, I feel like having a lil Christmas here. I don't know the story The Gift of the Magi but I sure loved this ficlet. And make no mistake: the angst and cold seeped through my body all the time. YUMMMMMMY. You just want him out in the woods in winter dontcha? Well, I don't object there. My fav fantasies involve that too mostly...LOL among other stuff *winks* Loved the twist of the Porters being ghosts. It's a lil funny to me that the professional ghost hunter didn't actually get it. But then again... who cares. It was a yummy thing to read. Thanks, Ilka Summary:

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 06/01/09 Title: Chapter 12: Chapter 12 Save 10 Follow the Star! Aw, back in the stable with the boys. Wonderful. "Mmmh. Gimme a minute, babe." Hilarious start! Great. *slaps thighs in fits of laughter* Dean looked on in envy, wishing he could repeat the manoeuvre with as much grace T alk about cat-like grace. Now he would even go for goat-like, huh? saddle sore... ouch. Hope his private parts are still intact... Now I can't even sit down without something hurtin'!' Well, Dean. You do hurt so well, what else do expect of Bev and Jane???
harsh tones of his father rang in head That was all he needed aw. This always triggers his last remaining energy, doesn't it? The well-known “Look out for your little brother, boy!” quote... ugh, how John drilled that into the man... poor Dean. whole body trembling with his head in his hands, sucking in deep laboured breaths, as beads of sweat rolled down his face nice hurt!Dean image... drooling like hell here. I'm not leaving my baby out there alone for another night in this weather aw. Sammy and the car. His family.. his motivation. sudden hesitation, a pulling back from a place where he might expose his heart. Ugh, heart-wrenchingly beautiful. *gasps* Dean was so used to sacrificing himself. Rationality had not really been a consideration. Is it ever any consideration? He is so reliant on his instincts. And he always is right to follow them in the end, isn't he? Even if it means agony and suffering... he had none apart from the journal and the letter. He prayed that the hunter would finally bring his words to Evie. Oh dear, the ghost is really getting to me. Wanting closure and deliverance, poor Caspar... Can't let Sam know how much it really hurts. Dammit Dean! All this walling up sure ain't too healthy. his brother's seemingly unending ability to push himself to unimaginable limits With you there, Sammy. He is adorable and I admire his strength so much. Wish I wasn't such a wussy... So, not quite fooling the Samster, huh? LOLOLOLOLOL. Samster? Seriously, dudes! Awesome. stated with a hint of barely controlled panic, at the daunting task ahead of them, edging into his voice. O oh, panicking Dean is soooo sexy. All that angst and worry finally breaking through... That'll be a drool-fest. He turned a watered down version of puppy dog eyes on his disbelieving brother Prizeless! Dean forcing The Look on Sammy for a change. Like that! See how you cope with that for a change, Sammy! whooping and hollering with unrestrained joy, like children. And for those few minutes, children they were, laughing with tears in their eyes as they careered down the slope. Oh yeah! Like that image. Sweet, innocent and free of concerns for once. They so need that from time to time. My heart burst with tears of love for them. Still feel an oddly nice lump forming in my throat with that picture in my mind. Aw.... how few times he'd ever caught his brother, looking totally unguarded, totally happy. *sobs in a good way* truly happy Dean gets to me all the time... not that this happens too often though. Happy!Dean is a very rare thing and needs to be cherished when it comes along. back to the Impala, back home. So true... their home and haven...Wish they were there already. so Sam had simply picked his brother up complete with his crutch and carried him, stumbling into the wind, searching for somewhere safe to wait out the storm. Oh god. Oh. Oh, I've got something in my eye.... strong kid brother carrying (CARRYING not dragging) a limp and broken Dean... That... that is... *wails in commiseration* Have to take a minute here... Running low on tissues... dammit girls. That is one intense image! What's a sign, a sign of what? The Apocalypse you idjit! HEEEHEEE. Sorry, but I needed a laugh after the carrying-Dean ordeal. "Follow the Star to Bethlehem"."Follow the Path to the Impala". Great dialogues in this story and funny scene. Again, you amaze me with the wonderfully wide range of emotion this story has to offer. Angst, followed by banter, then chick-flick and severe hurt and again snarky remarks... LOVING IT! We made it back! Phew. FINALLY. Now they only need to free the Hiker and get back to Bethlehem. Maybe Charley will have a soft sport for the battered and beaten hunters now. I sure do! Nothing better than nursing 'em back to health. "Not an ‘it'" Dean muttered under his breath. "Don't you worry, honey. He's just doesn't understand!" Damn right Dean! You tell him... Gotta love Dean and his obsession with his car... ole softie that he is... Huns, amazing, breathtaking, drool-inducing, hilarious, sad and relieving. All in one single chapter. Well done! Worth the wait. And bring on the next (and sadly last) chappie soon! Loves ya both! Ilka Author's Response: Ilka You are so caring but put your mind at rest his butt and boy-bits are indeen intact! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 04/01/09 Title: Chapter 11: Chapter 11 A Little Rest and Recuperation Awesome... I felt I needed a time out too. Very welcome rest for a change. Though higlighted with a half-naked Dean (YAY!) and some nausea and sutures. OK. detailed review and account of drool inducing scenes impending: Spent, he sagged forward, forehead pressing into the comforting presence at his side. Oh darn exhaustion getting the better of him after all. Of course he waited for his bro to leave before he allowed himself to give in to the weakness... he felt the room begin to tilt.... oooh I love him dizzy! Nice, thanks hunnies. "Sammy, I don't feel so g..." Dean's whisper was lost in the donkey's thick coat, he felt himself slipping sideways, losing the battle with the slowly spinning room and the rising tide of darkness. YEAH. Um. Sorry, I should be feeling sorry for him, right? Um. I can't. Just the thought of him slipping sideways... that is fantastic hurt!Dean material. How am I supposed to be sorry... Well, of course I am sorry but at the same time I relish it. OK. Here goes: Aw poor weary, wilting warrior, he needs some rest. I think they found the perfect place for it! (That better? I am a a schizophrenic, didn't I tell ya? Got a sadist and a nurse fighting for the crown inside me!) Why didn't you say something? Well, why the bloody hell did you not listen you gigantic idjit! You know Dean all your life and you still can't make out his soft gentle voice? And why did you leave him alone without taking care he is taken care of and put at ease in the first place. Before checking out the place like a child in a newly discovered attic room. Sorry. Um. Got carried away. Sam sometimes makes me angry. Guess it's my inner Dean, lol. We'll put it down to Sam's exhaustion then, shall we? He is a little erratic at the moment. the slowly spreading blood stain that darkened the frayed denim covering the lower left thigh. Oh damn. That knee must've been bleeding the whole day and Mr M-Fine hasn't said a word about it. Not that Sam would have been able to do anything about it. But still. Dean can be sooo idiotic too! Guess it runs in the family. Gathering his brother in his arms Dean's head rolled towards him, settling in the crook of Sam's neck. Wonderful comfort and protection here. Love Sam for it. I bet Jared can really carry Jensen around! The sight of his muscles in that hot sex scene was almost terrifying! Gotta say, the boys seem to have turned their luck around. Their present location is almost a luxuriously comfy stable compared to biblical standards or Winchester standards (if you think about a night in the car I mean) And there were surely some motel rooms that have been less equipped and comfortable. All we need now is a bathroom and 2 shower scenes... yummy.... in through the nose and out through the mouth. Heeeheee. I know that line! Must've read that somewhere recently. Can't really think of the actual story though! there any painkillers in that kit Boy must he be groggy and in pain to ask for painkillers.... "I guess I'm not Mr Clumsy, dude!" Well, if Dean is Mr Clumsy that just made us a married couple I'd say! Bring in the champagne and then let's slip into our bedroom....mmmmmmmm Dean cried out as the soiled cotton ripped away from the dried lesions marring his back. holding the foot steady as Dean sought to pull it away. Gasping as the liquid burnt it's way under the nails. HURT HURT HURT! Painful but loving it, as usual! At some point, he had felt Dean go limp beneath his hands, the strangled gasps subsiding into quiet moans, then short breaths as he slipped, gratefully, into the welcoming arms of oblivion. Awh good. All the agony finally takes its toll and presents Sam with the chance to patch up his bro in a less painful manner... Thanks guys. Was getting unbearable, even for me. Dean stirred fitfully, mumbling and moaning as the needle pierced his inflamed flesh. Pain spiking, reaching through the layers of darkness, calling to him as each fresh stitch was formed, gently pulling the skin together. Yikes, even when he his unconscious the pain reaches out and wracks him... poor guy, give some rest now! It was meant to be a Christmas to remember. A good Christmas! Awh guilt stricken Dean. Nice too. coloured boxes of sweets, sat a beautiful sleigh. You gotta be friggin kiddin me! No way! That's not... It can't be! Must be some prop storage or something... Eerie. Dean witnessed the entire scene, erupting into a howl of laughter at the look of abject horror, "Sammy, it's a match made in heaven. You've even got the same hair stylist!" A freaking camel? Haaaaahaaaaa. I know why even the Dean “Butch” Winchester succumbs to the giggles here. And the same hair cut. Hilarious. care and devotion of the Winchester brothers for each other I like that ghost. He is kind of a representative, congress man for the readers. He starts relating to those awesome brothers and begins to like/love them. He even regrets hurting them earlier. And he is so right about care and devotion. Both brothers would die for each other. At any time.
I'll keep watch, bro. Get some sleep. Full on big bro mode. And he is just in time. Poor Sammy must be exhausted beyond believe. He has taken care of Dean and now Dean allows his baby bro the much desired and well-earned rest. Love it. ‘The Goat Whisperer' freakin obsession with baby goats! Cal taught you well! Guys, I hope you will update soon. In the meantime: Thanks for sharing and enjoy reading my reviews. They point out how much fun I had so far. Hugs ya, Ilka Author's Response: ilka Now hunny calm down you're getting over excited! Did you enjoy Sammy's 'date'? The camel! we thought they were so alike and yeah if it makes Dean giggle then that is just too sweet for words. Thanks sweety.
