I had been so engrossed in Sam taking revenge on those loggers that I'd completely forgotten there was a creature to deal with! Which means more to look forward to. Nice one again. Date: 30/05/09 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Well this is an interesting change of direction, really glad you have brought John in, don't read enough with John, and I don't mind there being little of Dean & Sam for the moment, works for me. Cause I know they will be back at some point. Looking forward to the next chapter and wondering what the angel's 'lesson' is. Jacq Author's Response: Thank you so much. Dean and Sam won't be seen a lot...and I feel guilty for it but what needed to be covered just wouldn't work if the two of them were sitting there saying, "yeah, dad, he's really your grandson." I like to look at Ben in this as a glimpse into who Dean might have been had he not been forced into obdience from John. Ben doesn't have the same upbringing that Dean did and is much more willing to speak his mind. So, a little of Sam's rebellion and a lot of Dean's smart*ss remarks - and we've got Ben facing down his grandfather. Fun stuff. Thanks for reading and reviewing! Kim

Date: 06/06/09 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Posting late at night can be hazerdous...lol I'm glad John didnt really leave Ben, he's not that mean...And a Dean & Sam fix, Yes! I reckon Ben is a match for John, looking forward to Chapter 3 Jacq Author's Response: Sam and Dean become a little scarce from here on out except for the fact that they sit right between John and Ben and every conversation they have. I think John would be a very difficult parental figure to have -- high expectations with little reward. It's hard to ever meet those sorts of expectations. Posting late is very hazardous and I knew better. I so appreciate you letting me know my mistake as soon as you noticed it. Thanks for everything. Kim

Date: 17/06/09 Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6 That leaves as many questions as answers, that Dean and Sam were allowed to be with Ben in the past, still what lesson Ben needed to learn and why John needed to be involved...looking forward to the next chapter, at least I've caught up now Jacq Author's Response: This story was meant to pose a lot of questions. It is over for the time being and I feel rather bad since it feels incomplete. The whole story will be told though. First we'll go back in time a bit then jump past this story. I don't plan on it taking very long to get this done but other plot bunnies keep shoving this one in the back corner. He's pouting at the moment. I'll try to coax him out with some carrots tomorrow.
