Date: 23/06/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Oh! Loved this first chapter. The arguing started out funny but got pretty serious and I winced at the brilliant way you portayed the boys in high in thier ire. THe bit about the time, and it being cloudy, well that made me chuckle. Awesome start and painful too, but still. . . love your characterizations of the boys and I'm glad I ready Bullettbabe's bio;i'm already a fan of Gaelicspirit and Bullettbabe, so now I add you to the list! Date: 23/06/08 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Yikes! They've disappeard? Okay, i'm thoroughly intrigued by this situation. Love seeing John back in the works. Great characterization of Pa Winchester. I know he loves his boys and I think Dean gets his strong sense of family from him.

Date: 23/06/08 Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5 Oh, Dean hurtness, brilliant lovely Dean hurtness. Loved this. Loved how Dean did his own first aid and the line about BoyScouts..LOL This evil presence .. it has me mightily intrigued. Keeping the boys lost and separated. Wow, that's the way to get to the Winchesters- get them to split up coz we all know things always go sideways when they are apart. Great premise and I am off to read the next bit!!

Hallucinating Dean was great too! Naturally, Dean's thirst would = a bar out in the middle of no where, his oasis. Brilliant. But the last bit.. POOR DEAN! Summary: Multiple missing scenes from the end of Asylum through and beyond Scarecrow. A lot still went unsaid between the boys, but flying through walls has got to have consequences.

Date: 20/06/08 Title: Chapter 5: The Splintered Door Really enjoyed this story! I'm a Hurt-Dean Junkie and this one was fantastic on so many levels. You kept Dean in character & funny (the whole ping-pong bit with the chest and back was painfully hilarious), and while Sam was comforting, he wasn't weak. I can't stand weak Sam. Anyway, awesome job. I've decided that I like funny-hurt-Dean more than the angsty hurt that is often written (though I do love it too, just no as much as this) The dialogue between the boys, Dean's inner thoughts that made him smile secretively, thus pissing Sam off, was fantastic! Just brilliant and I often found myself smiling in response. Wonderful job! Summary:

Date: 20/06/08 Title: Chapter 6: Family First oh no.. no no no.. I've come to the end!!! HELP!!! You're going to updated aren't you?? Pleazzzzzze!!!! Seriously loving this story and the many layers to John's relationship with the boys as seen through Bobby's eyes and what started Bobby's anger with John, and more importantly, I could see how Dean and Bobby bonded like this. Makes perfect sense. Oh, please tell me you're going to update.. puuuuleeeeeze. *insert shameless beggin here* Author's Response: I'm really glad to be able to give you some good news here! I'm just working on the next chapter. It should be a nice juicy long one, so may be a week or so before it's posted. After that there will likely be one more chapter and then the end chapter (which is half written - and actually posted on ff.net). I will be finishing this story here and Dark and Stormy which is my other WIP here as I started them here. I have, however, stopped posting here on a regular basis. Date: 19/06/08 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Poison Pen Empaths.. i've heard of them. I remember a Star Trek episode where Kirk is injurred and an empath cures him. Cool idea to impart that into an SPN story! I don't know who I feel sorrier for; Bobby, for having to break Dean's trust, or Sam, for living all this time int he dark unknowing of this secret. The cousin of Mary's who's a witch, well that was just brilliant too. I loved how you had her empath her death onto Dean and .. well, it was all just so uber cool.

You give his situation the right balance of dire straits and light heartedness that makes me hug both boys so tightly. Comforting/Caring Sam is always one of my favorites. You always do a marvelous job of painting such a thorough picture around the boys and the depths of their emotions when going through trials and difficulties. It was also great seeing some delicious h/c set in our present season. *hugs boys hard* They are so broken. Dean hurt over Sam not coming for him while in Purgatory, and Sam just overwhelmed with all that he suffered up to that day he lost Dean when he'd battled Dick. Lovely work! |
