Two absolutely wonderful chapters, you picture this 'falling apart' in a very intense way, more please!

Took me a bit to catch up with the chapters, sorry; every single one was so good! Still no rest for us here at all, things seem to get worse. I really enjoyed Jenny beating up Kory (sure a lot of us thought about doing this to someone once or twice throughout the years!). And what about the grooves on Dean's back, something to worry about?; also Sam certainly is in too much pain, isn't he? More sorrows ahead I suppose, but don't stop, it's too good!

But no worries as promised I'll fix them by the end. I'm glad you enjoyed Jenni beating up Kory - that was a lot of fun and I enjoyed it. What a sad chapter, I just loved the lake scene, so quiet and beautiful, like taking a deep breath to regain some strength and that's what both brothers need, they're still on the decline - Dean's comment at the end that there is nothing to have faith in showed it, so Sam's recovery is really important, what a task! Hope your finger is getting better soon, all the best for you!

As mentioned before, I absolutely love the way you describe the harpy, best version I know, so creepy! Sam did a great job rescuing his brother, seems he regains a lot of strength when Dean is in danger and needs him. Enjoyed als always!

I'm glad that you have enjoyed the way I have done the harpy. I really don't know too much about them but I've had a lot of fun with it. I'm glad you feel like she is creepy and I'm flattered that you feel like the harpy is the best version you know. Things took another nasty turn, real bad I'd say (you promised to fix it so, remember?). The drive to the hospital felt like a hell-ride, really a tough one, could feel how desperate Sam was. I'm worried quite a bit about Dean's condition and the news Dr. Burken has for Sam and Jenni, don't know how much more they can handle!

Author's Response: Things did take a bit of a nasty turn didn't they. I know that I promised to fix it - and I promise I will. I was taught from an early age that if you borrow someone's toys you need to return them in the condition you borrowed them in. So although a little worse for wear the brothers will be ok by the time I'm done. The trip to the hospital was one big hell ride for the brothers wasn't it - glad you liked it. Loved the way the boys showed how much they mean to each other, either one not caring at all about his own condition, touching! Hope to see Dr. Burken again, like him a lot and I think he would be perfect for Jenni, we'll see!

It really isn't hard to be patient when your reward are these great chapters! Again you have wonderful brother-moments in here and you cover this relationship in such a stunning way; I just loved the way both expressed their fear and need for each other when they were talking, as I said - stunning! Now I can't wait to see how they will fight the harpy (her reappearance was so creepy, awesome). What a treat, thank you!!

I'm glad you enjoyed the brotherly moments - I really enjoy doing those. It is nice for the brothers to have a little break from all things supernatural and just focus on being a family once in while.

 Although, a lot of action isn't too far in coming - and with it a whole lot of blood shed. The harpy is very unhappy and will be even angrier in chapter 44 - I'm brewing up ideas as I type. Thanks for the review!

Very special chapter, amazing how you balanced the threat that is always perceptible (feels like the air is charged with suspense the whole time - great!!) and grows as Dean's fears do and on the other side these wonderful quiet moments the brothers share (showed so much they are home for each other) and the food-scenes, glad they had these lighter moments, that's something they can hold onto when things get rough; these scenes are like safe little islands in all this darkness and you did a fantastic job with it, enjoyed it sooo much!! Scary ending, seems the harpy is very near now (as you know, no other version can beat yours!) - again, great work!

This had so everything I hoped for! A heartbeat scene when Sam fighted to bring Dean back, very touching. And what a relief to hear Jenni will survive, too (still think Dr. Burken would be perfect for her, he's such a nice and decent guy and Jenni really would deserve some happiness after everything she went through, well maybe...). Loved the brother's talk at the hospital, an important one, when Dean actually told his brother for the first time he's "...not even supposed to be here...", also Sam expressing how much he was afraid to lose Dean, think this will start a healing process for both of them and as much I do fear their fight with the harpy, I think Dean is right, they have to do it as soon as possible and they have to end it together, as a catharsis. So, exciting, wonderful chapter, loved it!!!

Thank you for this fantastic story is not enough, really can't tell what a wonderful time I had reading every single chapter! You are such a talented writer and really catched these two amazing brothers and you did this in a stunning way, so many touching scenes, great images (oh, and how I enjoyed the harpy!) and characters (just loved Jenni and as I see there might be a chance for her and Dr. Burken, an extra thank you for this!), this had everything. I'm sad this is the final chapter, but the story is round and it's a perfect ending - Sam and Dean are together, "...each a vital piece of the other, and always side by side. Just as things were supposed to be." - yes, this completely covers it. Again, a huge thank you and I'm so looking forward to read a new story, certainly will look out for it. Take care!

I'm glad that you enjoyed the ending - and this story. I really did enjoy writing it, it was fun and by far the biggest challenge I've ever taken on. I am glad that you enjoyed the harpy, I did have a lot of fun creating her the way I did. It was fun to try and come up with a new idea for such a traditional mythical creature. As for Jenni and Dr. Burken - we'll you'll see for yourself how things work out for them/or don't work out for them. I am planning on bringing her back in a future story. It won't be the next story I am planning on writing but the story after that, and I already have big plans for it so I am very excited.

As for the next story - well, if I can really settle down and focus on the episode I need to write I could probably start posting Killer At Midnight within a couple months. It just depends on how fast I can write - but I will be working on it periodically so that I have some of it under my belt before I post, that way updates won't be too delayed when I do start to post.
