Tired of you? That was a good one! What a giant cliffhanger! Okay, so this evil thing is not only inside the motel-room, doesn't look too good for the boys, especially not for Dean. Don't have a clue what's behind this and it's driving me crazy, so be kind and give us the next chapter soon! (Hey, I still giggle at the 'Thomas twins', cute)

So much more than okay!! You now have here an atmosphere like in one of Poe's novels with this invisible attacker (and things get worse now, Sam can't leave Dean even for a short time anymore) and the boys confined to this haunted room, the evil closing in, horrifying! The marks on Dean's neck and throat, no wonder Sam panicked. This Brian sure wasn't a big help (reminds me of some younger guys at work) and I'm worried more than just a bit he might be the only one available to help (wished Bobby would be there), poor Sam! Really anxious to know if they will make it this time to the hospital, leaving the room won't be easy at all, don't have a good feeling about this. More please!!

Thanks Sabine.  I can always count on you to keep me straight!  I'm still not sure what's more dangerous...Sam leaving Dean alone or Dean falling asleep.  Seems neither one is good for him. You are soo right about Brian too, what a waste of oxygen. (I know way too many guys like that...they must have been the inspiration)

I'm still debating if Bobby's on the way or not...we'll see what happens there.  You know how much I love the guy!

Bobby has to drive real fast now, these two hours will be very long ones for Sam and Dean, time is nearly up! Why do I think there are some nasty surprises (major style) for them to come? The blood-sucking ghost, this is brilliant, just the thought makes me cringe. ENJOYED!

Author's Response: Bobby willl drive as fast as the snow will allow, I promise.  Oh, and yes, I do still have a few tricks up my sleeve, but you know me, it wouldn't be one of my stories without the random plot twists and turns, right? Always happy to hear you enjoyed and I'm equally as happy to have made you cringe!!

Wow, you had quite a few things in this chapter. Loved the way Sam calmed Dean and helped him fighting the nausea, very touching and so Sam; certainly enjoyed Dean's comment "Why are you petting me like a dog?", funny one. This time - despite everything what she did to Dean - I can't help to feel so sorry for the poor girl and the terrible way she died. Still, what happened to the baby?? None of the other guys did hear the baby crying I think and Dean also is so far the oldest victim, does this mean anything? Oh, and could Bobby please (!!) come back soon, don't have a good feeling here! Great, great chapter!

Author's Response: Ahh, so many questions that beg for answers.  There is a very good reason Dean is the only one hearing the baby, but that's my little secret for now.  Fear not, all those questions will be answered in good time...(Ok, I really think it's time for me to go to bed now!)

Wonderful you're back and as good as ever, no chance you're gonna lose 'it'!!! A very scary chapter, all this blood makes me worry, a very alarming sign things go downhill rapidly, it's a desperate race against time for the guys! Hope Sam can deal with Dr. Alice, Dean so can't leave the room yet. Loved the chapter, you really made my day Helen!

Thanks so much Sabine!!  I promise I'm going to get that Bad Penny update done eventually... just working the bugs out in my head.  It feels really good to be up and running again, so to speak and I'm even happier to hear that my first writing attempt in weeks wasn't a load of crap.

as for the story, you should know me by now, downhill at the speed of light, that's what I say and desperation is what I live for!!  I'm glad you loved it and believe it or not, we haven't reached the bottom of that hill just yet.

What a ride - the hunt, the plague (always enjoyed stories about these dark times) and the special bond between Sam and Dean you cover in such a perfect way (just loved Sam saying "I'm definitely not going anywhere you can't follow"), really, I couldn't ask for more, great!!

Frightening doesn't cover it, heartbreaking to see Dean's despair and fear to loose his brother. And what a wonderful idea to have this song in the chapter, really loved it!

Great chapter! So Sam has Aphasia, I studied linguistics and know about this a bit, very scaring for the patients; John can't really deal with this I think but Dean can and as always is there for his little brother and that makes all the difference!

It is indeed some fight for Sam to get back his ability to speek, good description how exhausting and painful this is for the patient. It was clear from the beginning so, that Dean is by his little brothers side all the way, never would leave Sam, one without the other not imaginable; still al long way to go for all of them.

As sad it is, sometimes you just can't ask for more and I think John gave about everything he had to give (and did quite good, I'd say), 'End to the Fantasy' covers it well; still I'm sorry for both Sam and Dean - it's hard to learn you have to deal with the brutal effects of reality and now it's the time to make painful and far-reaching decisions. Loved the way you described how Sam struggles with his need to have a normal life and his wish not to leave his brother. For Dean Sam is the centre of his world, he never would have chosen a life without his little brother; so this seems to be a turning point and I'm anxious to know how they deal with it.
