Date: 16/05/07 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Oh, lam - this was a great insight into Dean's head, and his reasons for doing what he does. But a little part of me can't help but hope that he finds another way, other than making a deal with that lying, yellow eyed sod. However, that takes nothing away from what was a beautiful little piece. I really enjoyed it. So - what would you prefer? Peanut M&M's, perhaps? Thanks for sharing this - and loved the implied hug at the end.....Jules Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. I don't have a problem with Dean making a deal because I don't believe that he would ever have any intention of going through with it - not that he wouldn't sacrifice himself in a heartbeat, but with a whole year at his disposal, he'd be totally convinced he'd find a way out of it. It's my own little way of having my M&M's and eating them too! And I was a bit evil with the hug, but I just totally picture the season ending with them stepping up to each other, arms wide open, and cut to black. They know we want a hug.... Summary:

We haven't seen the ep out here in Aus, but I'm a sucker for spoilers, and I have peeked at the video clips of the episode on the sn.tv main page. It is going to be a heart-wrenching ep to watch. You did a really good job of getting inside Sam's head - and those final lines - goodness me, where are the tissues... Summary:

Date: 23/05/07 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Lam - I must admit - when I read the title, I had a bad moment, but when I saw the author was you, I took a deep breath, and dived in. And you didn't disappoint. This hit right to the heart of what Dean would be going through, and stayed right away from the demon's comment about Sam not being 100% pure Sam (which, privately, I think is utter rot, and typical of demonic lying and misdirection). I've read a lot of missing scenes and tags about the finale, and some of them have been flipping dark, but this one was a little gem. I loved how Dean recognised that his baby brother had finally matured into a man, but on some level, would always be the a little kid in the eyes of his big brother - the one who raised him. And the fact that Dean had come to a place where he could accept his brother's help was just so spot on. I really enjoyed this, and am going to shower you with cookies of all shapes, flavours, and sizes. Home-made, commercially-made - with and without cream filling... Loved it. Author's Response: *Blushes* Thank you so much for the fabulously kind words. I hadn't thought about the fact that people would just assume the title meant what it looked like - stupid eh? I purposely put the twist on it afterall. I couldn't agree more about the demon being full of crap. The CD in CRB told Dean he could have his Dad back in 100% form and he'd been dead a lot longer and had no corporeal body to come back to! I just loved the look on Dean's (Jensen's) face when Sammy says he's going to save him - the pride, faith and comfort that came through so clearly. God, JA is just a fabulous actor *gushes quietly to herself*. Thanks again for taking the time to give such a detailed response - it really is cookies!!! But this one - it was sad, and touching, and I loved the hint of a promise at the end, that no matter what, Dean would always be there. That hangs on to hope, and hope is so important. Actually Gaelicspirit pointed out that it could also be John - which I hadn't thought of as I was writing but makes absolute sense.
