Date: 04/03/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 I read Broken Images first and it was great. Then I found this one. Damn, you had me bawling my eyes out. The part where Dean leaves Sam.... Very well done. Author's Response: Thank you for that. I was astounded by the response to Broken Images. It's actually in the voting for the latest People's Choice awards on the Sensue site. This one wouldn't have gotten off the ground if GotTheShining hadn't asked me to consider a prequel. She scared me at first, as I really had trouble with how to get Dean out of the deal, which is why I kept it vague in Broken Images. Date: 07/10/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 I don't usually read something until it's all done and posted, but I read this first chapter before I realised it wasn't all posted! You are going to kill me waiting for the next part... and the next. I love all the stuff you've written so far and eagerly anticipate more of this story. Limp!Sam, my favourite kind. And I'm with on *almost* forgiving Ten! I guess they caved to the pressure. LOL. That and they were probably sick of me calling them every week - me and prolly a few hundred others. Ha! How many chapters are you going to torture me to wait for? :-) Author's Response: Why thank you. Um - I am going to torture you with two more chapters, actually - lol! But don't worry - unless something unforseen happens, I always post on a Friday night our time, and I always finish what I start. I still think that putting SN on early was Ten's back-up plan. Did you know that their SN forum on the Ten website is the largest and most popular? And when the boys were each out here and you could pose a question to them, the site overloaded and crashed from all the responses. I don't "do" a lot of WIP fics because I'm too impatient to wait for the next part, but this one I couldn't resist. More, more, more!! Cookie's man-bits - we were working on the epilogue for Here At, and I did the bit where they swap drivers on the way out of Havre. We were beta-ing for each other, as Sarah was in the air flying down to Australia, and Petra wasn't quite getting the picture I was painting - I'd visualised Sam getting out of the car and walking around, but it didn't come across that way. Petra thought they'd climbed over each other to swap sides. And that was when shemade that wonderfully funny comment - "don't you think that's way too many man-bits in one small area?" So I saved it for a rainy day, as I do. Was pretty chuffed to find somewhere I could use it, actually. Even though Sam copped a knee in the goolies for it - LOL. Yeah he was a hard-ass but he did love his kids. Well done! Now off to read the final part of Seven Days! Thank you, Kim. Don't know that I'd go much younger than this with the boys, but I'm relieved that I got it right with them as teens. I'm slowly softening my thoughts towards John. I never liked him, but there are two staunch John-girls in my camp, so it helps to have access to their thoughts on him.
