I love that at time he's stupid (Sam: "Tell me you didn't [drink the beer]". Dean: "I was thirsty!") but ultimately he's street smart and has common sense. He will be back. Date: 24/05/08 Title: Chapter 1: After Midnight Ooooooooooooooooh... I didn't cry at the end of 3.16 cos I had faith. I still do, but this has really, really made it final and real and something to be dealt with before anyone can move on in the series. It's ace - thanks very much for sharing. Poor Bobby. And I thought, 'why didn't Sam close his eyes?' But then if he did, would he really be gone for good? *shiver* This is great stuff, even given the subject matter.

Ready for weirdness - if the eyes are the window to the soul Sam would want to know the minute his brother made it back, that and I felt that shutting his eyes was like shutting the door on him, no way back.
