This is the sequel to The Fallen and picks up three days after those events. Dean has his own inner daemons to face as he explores how his time with Mikey and the angels has changed him, as does funky bad-boy angel Uriel!

I'd recommend you read The Fallen first if you have time as the characters in So Not An Angel have their birth there. References to Angels, God and religious faith and some swearing. Date: 20/02/08 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 The rules we live by You are taping into the despair that Sam must be feeling over Dean's deal beautifully. He's little thoughts of Dean that come through without being obvious makes it very clear that his every thought is on his brother. I never thought I would come across a Raven scene that would be comparable to 'The Birds' many have tried and all have failed until now! Brilliantly done! My heart was pounding and I was instantly transported back to seeing that movie as a kid and being terrified. It is also so remnant of 'The Raven' by Poe with that freaky bird watching from over the door.....well done. I'm not often completely taken by a story but I have been by this one. I can't wait to see how this plays out and I'm going to have to break down and buy some Gaiman (you're not the first to suggest that I should check him out.) And now I wait patiently for the next installment. Author's Response: Now that's what I call a compliment and it's a good thing I'm sitting down!!!! I had no doubt in mind about what was happening. I love this story and wish we could have something this beautiful be the solution to Dean's little problem on the show. Date: 07/02/08 Title: Chapter 1: BROKEN – A tale of fairness and maybes That was nice. It was very uplifting and hopeful. I would've like to have known who the 'I' character was a little sooner - I couldn't place the doctor with what you were writing. But once I knew she was a nurse it worked really well. Date: 19/04/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 As soon as I read the title I got all tingly. I love that book and it lends itself beautifully for an adaptation to Supernatural. You did a wonderful job. The tone and pace were perfect. I love the draw on things known and the things you made up. The ending was a great conclusion that the most obvious thing they carry is each other and have no problems with that. Great story. I deserves to the recognition it has gotten. Date: 03/05/08 Title: Chapter 1: Day 1: Dismal Swamp? Sounds Great! Nothing like Dean sex talk in the morning. That was fabulous, I laughed through the whole thing. I especially loved the line "And how Sam managed to look both pious and pissy at the same time was beyond Dean." I've seen that look on Sam's face way too many times not to be able to see it here. I can't wait to see how this turns out. I'm learning more about that dang swamp that's making me miserable than I ever wanted to know! Thanks Kirsty -- Love It! I also love that they are truly trying to keep things civil between each other even under the circumstances. Gotta love the Great Dismal Swamp. Thanks for the story. Date: 12/05/08 Title: Chapter 3: Still Day 2: Allergies Are For Geeks And Girls That was hilarious. I would be feeling sorry for poor Dean except that I'm going through the exact same thing. Gads, it's terrible to have allergies. I honestly don't know who's smart mouth I like more - Sam or Dean. Although Dean blowing his nose in public...gross! Thanks for the fun. Author's Response: My husband complained that I hadn't given Sam any of the good lines, so I'm glad you don't agree. Of course, I'm an older sibling whilst he was the youngest so I guess we're coming at it from different points of view! Oh, and I prefer to think of Dean as loveably disgusting...
