Emo Sam, Emo Dean (and I never thought I'd see that work, but tell-tale streaks from panicked tears and the nice little Score one, big brother, for opening up that big old wound and jabbing at it with a big stick. and maybe wiggling it about a bit guilt trip - fantastic! Date: 12/06/08 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Losing my mind OOps! Missed a few updates on this, dammit! But I'm almost glad I did, cause right now I'm practically screaming at the computer: What's gone wrong?!?! Very very quick review, cause i wanna head straight on to the next chappie... Wonderful way to end the deal - no blood, just angst and resignation, and I could see every bit of Dean's strength as he pulled it out of himself in your words. The demon wearing Sam's face was beautiful, the way he wasn't quite right enough to keep the tension ratcheted up to the breaking point - and I have to say, he's a bad guy, but in those few sentences, he's a bad guy I'd love to hate! On to the next one right now! Date: 12/06/08 Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4 Of all things dead Oh boy - what a chapter! They just keep gettin' better and better... Loved this line: Christ, was it his imagination or did Sam's tiny cracked voice sound like an orphaned child? 'Cause without Dean, he really is orphaned, and that childlike need for reassurance that can't be given is beautiful. And: eyes huge, raw and searching... looking for Sammy? For anyone or anything? You write nameless fear so vividly it hits like a punch to the stomach... and then you give us the revelation of Dean's place in David's dreams... what next?! (Oh, and i really loved And his boots, they were...melted, the soles and tread fused together in a solid lump of post-liquid plastic. It should almost be funny, the fixation and detail in his shoes, but it's just downright terrifying!) Date: 12/06/08 Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Deep out of sight DOUBLE EEK! Not sure who to feel more sorry for, Dean, Sam or Bobby - cause you're putting 'em through the wringer now - givng them (and us, btw!) just enough hope to keep them going, snatching it away with the next deadline - seven seconds, seven minutes, seven hours, seven days... and seven lifetimes? (though that was from the last time we saw Bobby, it was ringing in my ears as I read this.) Loved the dream sequence, the baby Sam still mad at Dean, the cryptic message - find him before there's nothing left to find. It's enough to make me go hide in the corner gibbering for a while! Date: 07/09/08 Title: Chapter 6: Capter 6 Whoo hoo! there's more 'Told'! Love this story, the utterly completely daft slowly turning into angst and hurt, and real peril. And I like Sam letting himself consider murder, it makes him seem more human than he sometimes does in the show (*hides behind rock, waving white flag and shouting, "Sorry Mr Kripke Sir!*) Can't wait for more... And the sepsis story? EW! (and i hate that word...)
