Date: 23/03/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Hell, you are well and truly IN your depth! That was a brilliant story, those long, disjointed sentences really built up the tension and the confusion until you let rip with a slightly scary, angst-ridden explanation. Your writing packs in so much atmosphere, with the odd bit of humour to keep us all from going completely crazy with it. Keep writing! Summary: Outsider pov on a hunt Winchester style. Hurt/limp boys. Set early season one but does include slight spoiler for season three (not until Chapter 3 though)

Date: 15/04/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 (Not) An Everyday Occurence Right - mad reviewing session called for - haven't been able to post anything of any sort for a while, but I've been reading and it's been amazing! Love the way Sam and Dean both try so hard to hide their pain/worry from each other, and fail so miserably at it; and your descriptions - of all the hurt and angst as well as the more everyday stuff - are so vivid it makes the story play out like a film in my head. Loving every minute of this story, and can't wait for more (and hopefully I'll be able to review quickly next time...!)

Love a bit of blood 'n angst, and you write them both so well. Love the way you use a few simple, powerful words to create beautiful images, sometimes in the most unlikely places - 'Looking up, jade eyes slightly out of focus, Dean confronted his brother and nodded, slowly.' - ouch! Hurt, and the wonderful confusion of confrontation and agreement; beautiful and unexpected! Can't wait for more... Was Sam really supposed to stay where he was? Are they trapped/laying an ambush of their own? Will they save the day, or will it all come crashing down around them? Tell us more! Author's Response: Well, Cal. Thanks for your review. As for the simple and powerful stuff, dunno it might be just 'cos if I could write like a native speaker, my chapters would be filled with desriptions and other stuff. In German, I tend to blab... Not sure who i feel more sorry for, Dean, Sam, Amy or evil Dr Harrington (I know, I know, only doing his job, but still...) when Big Bro wakes up and kicks his ass for being such a git. I love the way your writing is really simple, very clean, precise story-telling, then you go and hammer us with pure poetry like 'an icy hand wrapped around Sam's rapidly beating heart' and 'a sensation of suffocation tightened his lungs as panic rose and squeezed at his heart with overpowering, relentless fists.' Beautiful! Can't wait for the next chappie... Author's Response: Hey Cal, thanks for leaving me another most welcomed review. I'm glad you're still reading. Somehow the read counts have gone down the drain lately. Guess (PRETEND) it's because the show is on again and people get their weekly fix there. That makes me hope for the long summer... Beautiful - fire burning around her like petals of a rose, and a myriad of stars exploding in front of his tear blurred eyes A touch of humour to give us a break - Murphy's Law. If things wer bad, you could count on them to turn evil if the Winchester's were involved. - loved that - so true! And oh the hurt and the drama - ain't gonna quote this, cuase that entire last paragraph just blew me away and I can't pick anything out! say again - Wow - and onto the next - and last! chappie... And as for this one - scary, and somehow you just knew poor Amy wasn't going to make it, read that last chapter waiting to see the look in Dean's eyes when he realised what had happened - though the way you wrote it was amazing - enough to tell us what happened without using a sledgehammer to drive the point home. He was crying silently, face averted, shadowed by the half-light around him - that is probably one of the most beautiful things I've ever read. But seriously, your writing is brilliant - it's got that dark, cold edge to it that calls up some of the...less cheerful episodes (most of which are my favourites!), then you toss in just the right kick of black (as midnight) humour to keep the pace moving. Glad your little boy is better, and not just 'cause I don't have to feel guilty about pulling an Oliver Twist and begging pitifully for more! Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm really glad you like the dark atmosphere. I've been trying hard to keep that in each chapter. I really wish I had more time to work on each chapter. It's been a bit of a rush job to get each one done - I have 2 jobs at the moment and a grumpy little boy so don't get half as much time for writing as I wish I did - so getting reviews like yours, really makes it all worthwhile.
