I have to say again I love this bot at the start it just cracks me up..."Sam watched Dean with eyes wide open as he swung against the old woman with expert polish and grace - and missed his target completely". You know I am devoted to Dean lithe grace so to have him flub like this makes me giggle! I think this ia a classy ending it has a righteousness that means baddies get their comeupance, goodies get laid to rest and boys get the crap kicked outta em which I always enjoy. Date: 11/02/11 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Jules and your co-author Congratulations on a beautifully written piece. The real time and flashback passages compliment each other nicely, allowing the reader to fully comprehend the depth of Dean's loss and desperation at his 'failure'. Dean's soliloque makes for a very moving scene in the show and this expansion of the time frame around that event is very well crafted. It touched me and the images of Jensen's particularly sensitively acted lines filled my head once more. Thanks for sharing bev x Author's Response: Hey, Bev, Thank you so much. Oh, I know exactly what you mean about Jensen's acting. I think my heart almost stopped at the same time Sam's did, and then that gut-wrenching scream.....it's a hard episode to watch, even knowing Sam comes back to life. One of my friends is a dyed-in-the-wool Dean girl, and she stopped dead in her tracks when Sam was stabbed, a look of such shock and horror on her face. I caught a little whispered, "Oh my God...Sammy..." just as the camera pulled back to that devastating aerial shot of Dean rocking his dead brother..... Aw, damn it...*reaches for tissues*..... I'm used to Charlie scaring the crap outta me, and kicking the crap outta the boys! But here you took my heart and slowly,softly, sweetly broke it! It was subtle too 'cause I hadn't twigged that Beth was dead, and how beautifully cruel to let Dean fall utterly in love only to have that love be totally untennable!
