Date: 06/03/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Dear Cass I've been having a bit of a Ridley james fest and I'm really enjoying your stuff. I find your characters nicely rounded and detailed and the world you have created for them is complex and engaging. I find Caleb, and his relationship with Dean, lovely. It is a pleasure to see Dean relax a little in his happiness at having a 'big brother' to call on. I liked the way this one built the vision of a memory from all the perspectives of your characters to allow Sam a very thought through final conclusion. it was funny with an undercurrent of soft sadness, very representational of the boys lives, but nicely it was essentially uplifting Thanks for sharing. Where Dean is trying to keep his injury from Sam it's sweet and funny and then it becomes frightening because Sam is so locked into his quiet menacing rage. And of course hurt Dean is so adorable. Date: 01/01/08 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Book of Revalations This is scary, claustraphobic! 'He always did it when he was ovecome with concern for him; he always held him way too tight.' That is so heart wrenching. The fact that they go through stuff that regularly leaves them overcome with emotion, but you can also hear that, though he'd never admit it Dean doesn't hate the fact that Sam'll hold him tight. Breaks your heart, your wonderful writing is breaking my heart! Author's Response: Its all about the brothers and their bond...well for me anyway, so glad you're an angst junkie too.

Date: 16/06/08 Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Waxing and Waning – MuffyChapter one.Ok so I am so bought into this. What the heck is wrong with Dean? I like Bryn she seems like a top girl and (I know I’m a terrible pain and poorly-ness junkie!) Dean is so HOT when he’s a bit vulnerable. Reading on!Chapter two. God Muffy, Bryn is a doll! This sense of safety you write about is so real for me that I find myself moved to tears...I’ll let you into a secret...there are about four or five times in my life when I have known that absolute and utter feeling of being at peace. I might struggle to describe in clear detail the feel of the sun or the wind on my skin at those times, tell you the sounds that I heard or know the colours in each landscape i occupied at those times but one thing that never leaves me is the feeling in my heart. I think that is the ‘safety’ you describe Dean and Sam feeling here and it is wonderful and awe-inspiring. And the true core of that feeling? Being loved...and how precious is that? A lovely chapter, Muffy. I feel quiet tearful. Bev xxChapter three.OK, Muffy. This story is one that is sorta making my heart break...don’t panic though I think it’s in a good way! The picture you are painting here is taking me back to the final days of my Mum’s life. It was a terrible and strangely beautiful time and even as I type theses words now I’m tearing up. This slow gradual slide into oblivion, but interspersed with agony is so familiar to me and Sam’s rage and terror and sadness is so the place i found myself then. I have never been more exhausted and afraid in my life and the sanctuary you describe Sam finding here is one I found with the few precious people who kept the terror from me.
