The bit where Dean is sitting on the floor crying is heartwrenching. Well written and thought provoking. thank you Bev xx Author's Response: Kripke just always surprises us with the direction the show takes. I think we all expected some emotional moments with Dean dealing with what demonJohn said, but no, the show threw us the curve of John dying and them having to deal with that. Dean is so strong to keep going even with all the emotional issues he has, and Jensen is just so good when he does the emotional breakdown. Really wish we could see something like this on the show. Date: 31/10/07 Title: Chapter 1: Sacrifices Dear Novembers Guest This made me remember loosing my Dad when I was 21, and then my Mum when I was thirty. If it hadn't been for my big brother I don't know how I would have gone on. Big brothers like Dean, are a great thing to have in your life. Thanks for reminding me.

I've had some people tell me that this Dean was a little emo for them, but I wrote this right after a year from hell in which I had lost both my grandma's (one of them I was especially close to), a co-worker, a co-worker's son who was like family and just two months before I wrote it my nephew was killed in a motorcycle accident (my siblings are quite a bit older than I, as in at least a decade or more--so they have grown children already). I was pretty depressed when I wrote it, things were bleak. But, thankfully, things have been better since then. I'm glad you found some good out of it anyway and thanks so much for leaving your thoughts. Nicole Summary: What happens when the boys are stranded and one of them becomes violently ill?

Date: 03/05/08 Title: Chapter 9: Chapter 9 Dear EFW. Well this is one hell of a rollercoaster ride of a story and I have to say I am loving your depiction of all the characters in this medical melodrama. Your connectivity between Sam and Dean is poignant, believable and at times heartbreaking. I like your Ellen she is strong without sacrificing her humanity and The doctor and his wife are nicely written and credible as old retired medics. And Ash, well I always loved Ash so he's always a welcome addition. The pain is exquisite, toe curling stuff and I can imagine maybe one or two readers had to pop outside like Sam at the end of the op to barff up their lunch. Well done for someone without a long medical background its very well done. Off to finish the last chapters now. Thanks for a great read. Bev xx

Date: 04/05/08 Title: Chapter 11: Chapter 11 Gee Hunny that was on teriffic read and poor Dean you so put him through it. I could feel his horror and embarassment at the enema and I'm not surprised but i would have helped rub his back so just call me if you ever need help. Date: 06/12/07 Title: Chapter 15: Chapter 15 This was a great read, complex and convoluted but logical and humerous with well observed characters. I really liked how you knocked cocky, (wonderfully!)irritating Dean down to size by having him break his arm flubbing his leap onto the train. The interplay between hurting(both wrist and dented pride) Dean and Sam as Sam bandages his arm is spot on. I could feel menace from the 'Train' people and Raven was spooky.
