Date: 26/05/08 Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6 too funny. I loved the light humor...reminded me of some of the really good Buffy scenes with the Scooby group. I never watched Buffy so I don't know the reference. Thank you, though, because it's obviously a compliment. I love the humor especially when it writes itself easily. If I ever tried to do it on purpose I would fail miserably. Thanks again for reading and reviewing. Summary: Another in my Ben Winchester stories. Please be aware that the title tells you what occurs within the story. Dean, Sam, and Ben are in trouble when they are taken by a man who has an agenda and he's using torture to get his answers.

Date: 31/10/08 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 I really like your Ben Braeden line of stories; I think you do a good job of relaying the bond of father-son and brother-brother as well as uncle-nephew very well. I also like the supernatural twists you give all the characters. I was with you on this story in part 1 and midway through part 2, the torture stuff started to get in the way of the story. I found this in another authors story < Bamber's The Darkness We Create> where I initially liked the story and then she killed me on the overkill of the torture stuff - it was too much angst and not enough story moving forward and using other emotions to pepper and flavor the storyline. I look forward to your next chapter and will stay with this story in anticipation of the tale moving forward and not getting lost in the sadist cycle. Author's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words. I try very hard to convey the closeness between the three. When I started this whole thing I really felt that there was a hopelessness that existed in the show and wanted something for Dean to look forward to in his life besides being a Hunter forever. As for this particular story. I can understand where the torture is overwhelming and I was beginning to feel the same way. I did write this story, though, as a testament to torture. All of the techniques that I describe are used to this day and something that is actively being used by various countries around the world. I did get to the point in chapter three where forward motion was required and started on it. But, not to be let off that easy, I can tell you that the torture is not over. I do have a definite plan with this story and it plays into the other stories that I have written. This particular story may feel stagnant and not moving but it is going to move the other stories decidedly forward. The one thing I can give you is that I don't tend to make my stories too overly long. This will come to an end and it will end satisfactorly - for me at least, since it is a story that I am writing. If the writing isn't serving me, at the least, then it can't serve anyone. You say that you've read my other stories, I have memories of your reivews so you know that each of my stories generally has a pupose and a theme. I tried to make it very clear from the beginning what the theme of this story was. I said that torture was going to be prominent throughout. I appreciate what you are saying, though, and can see that there comes a point when we have to have forward movement within the story. I hope you find that in the next chapter but if you don't and can't go on, I am truly thankful for your time and effort. I write these stories for you and others to read and enjoy but ultimately I write them for me. So, I have to follow through with the story that I have planned in my head. I would gladly discuss this with you. If you want, feel free to contact me. Again, thank you so much. Summary:
