I am not a big reviewer - more of a silent appreciative reader - but I love the "works of Mizpah" and I feel it is time I said it very loudly.     Look after yourself! I read the stories over and over. God watches between us all when we cannot be together. Though Sam and Dean would never say it they would understand the connection. Thanks so much, Jo. That's wonderful feedback. And on a personal note - thank you especially for knowing what the meaning of Mizpah is. My great-grandfather had the prayer inscribed on a brooch which he gave my great-grandmother when they were courting. I inherited that brooch - it's almost 120 years old. He also named his 18 Foot Skiff Mizpah - which is where I take my penname from.

And thank you for all your prayers - it's been a tough few weeks, and every little bit of support helps more than you can know.

  Oh Thanks!!! Really good to find you here when I returned home after a long day at work.  I loved this story, the time changes and place changes moved effortlessly through Sam's experience of home. From realisation, through need, acceptance and gratitude. This is a great story of Sam for the reader and therefore also of Dean.     Hope your days ahead go well. It was so funny - I'd just finished posting this last night when I got the email notification that you'd reviewed A Hundred Possibilities, so I replied to you straight away. 

So stoked that you loved this. And yes, Sam has always had that sense of Dean as home, he just didn't realise it sometimes. But something always pulls him back, no matter how far he goes. 

Ah, story 49...well....hmm...it's not written yet. But it will be, I promise. Story 50's halfway there. And it will be something different. Well, I hope so, anyway - lol

Thank you, Jo. You've done this a couple of times for me now - given me a review and my muse a kick start to get working again. 

I'm chuffed that you enjoyed this one. Sarah (my beta) and I work hard on all my stories to get them right, but this one had a few tricky moments that caused the emails to fly constantly back and forth between Australia and England until we got it all hammered out - especially Sam and Dean's reasons for their actions or inactions once Zachariah snatched Sam. We went through a few different scenarios and lengthy discussions before settling on this course. 

So for you to say you loved it, makes all that hard work so worthwhile.

 I was out working all day yesterday. Today I am up early, ready to work again. But thought while I had my coffee I'd check for new stories. Still not expecting to see yours. And there you were!!! - like Christmas in August.   I love how I can hear Sam and Dean's voices so clearly in your writing. And the thumb-sucking - such a perfect way to begin a story of "turned upside-down" days. I laughed out-loud. Particularly having it be Dean who is afflicted. Even funnier. The humour in the story is balanced with the boy's relationship and the hunting story and I so appreciate that!   Already excited about next week's chapter.     Blessings always...                                   Jo

Glad I could give you a little treat for all your hard work. *grins*... Even though it was a day later than planned - stupid internet signal towers....*mutter, grumble*.... The greater the technology, the easier it is for a spanner to be thrown into the works, I reckon.

Ah, if you're hearing the boys' voices, then I've done my job as a storyteller - that makes me a very happy veggie. And yes I sort of felt it was time I stopped beating up Sam and laid into Dean for a change - LOL.

Turned upside-down is a pretty good way to describe what I'm going to put him through, actually - I'm so evil. Hope you enjoy next week's chapter - it made my auntie have a serious case of the giggles, so I think I might be onto something there - lol.

Ah, poor Dean, I did torture him a bit in this one, didn't I? But no permanent damage...apart from his ego, which was pretty much pounded into the dust...*grins wickedly*...

I loved the upside-down-ness of the curse gone wrong, and the challenge of pushing it to crazy limits to see what I could do to give Dean a very lousy week. So glad you enjoyed my efforts.

 Thank you for this. I needed to hear these words of yours to extend beyond what we are shown in the episodes, and I think this is very much the depth of the story as the writers mean us to find ...and so I am so glad to read of "Bobby" talking about Sam, who Sam is inside and of Sam's need for Dean in his life but mostly in life altogether, and finally of Sam's relationship with Bobby. It is also lovely to know how much my own thoughts are reflected in yours.  A lovely gift in lovely writing.  I am truly a Dean girl, I'd say - but without Sam we are missing so much of Dean.

I am at home, having been in an accident and have broken bones in my foot with other complications, Reading your collection of stories is nicely healng.

 So very happy this morning to find your story. I loved this episode. Thank for adding to it and deepening the meaning of it so perfectly. You have Dean and Sam so clearly written. And I am grateful to read Dean speaking of the gift of memory Sam received. So true to Dean's spirit of hope and love. Even in all the darkness and despair. And it is that which will heal Sam's soul.

 Merry Christmas!!! I finally happily have a day to slow down and absorb your words. Thank you, as always! I have so appreciated how robo-Sam has added to the depth of the show, but it has been very hard for me as my first response to the story comes from Sam and Dean's relationship. You have captured the great disconnect so well. And, the equally amazing reality of the memory and connect of love for his brother being acted out intellectually by Sam. Take care...

Prayers are always appreciated. While Chris and I weren't directly affected by floodwaters, apart from being cut off a couple of times during the week, we still feel the impact of the devastation. And it's going to take a long time to recover from this.

Thank you so much. I'm really stoked that you loved the story. I had such fun with concussed Sam, as well as Dean's cautious reactions and hasty damage control. The humour stories are a nice break from the usual angst and drama.
