Well, thank Jensen for having heart wrenching emotion on his face. That last look said it all to me. Hey, if you're not already, you should read "Hollow" by Reading. It starts with that scene and continues on.

Date: 20/02/07 Title: Chapter 1: Sacrifices I remember when you had disclaimers on this for "possible AU", and then it came true...How do you do what you do, Nicole? Even 'un-beta'd' this piece is beautiful. *Cries* Author's Response: Well, I guess I kinda drew from some personal experience there. I didn't take losing my maternal grandma so well a couple of years ago and what I remember most was the last Sunday she ate dinner with us at my mom's, she grabbed me and patted my cheeks and said I'd always be number one to her. Long story, but I needed to hear those words spoken to me. I'm so thankful she told me that before she died the very next Sunday. They say, draw from experience when you can and make the rest up, right? Thanks for the review, I needed to hear those words, too (as always). :)

Date: 20/02/07 Title: Chapter 1: A Glimpse of the Future *Reads first line and sees Desert Eagle* I love you! Okay...I digress...but Hells yeah! *Reads that Dean uses it to blow his brains out!* NO!!!!!!! He did not just...*Reads that it is a vision and breaths sigh of relief* Okay...let me collect myself and get back to you at the end of this chapter. “Damn, they must’ve had to slaughter that pig. What is taking so long?” Ha! My dad says that all the time. *laugh* I loved the banter at the end. However, woman, that opening was not too kind to Dean. I hope Sam figures this out... Awesome work with this chapter. Can't wait to see what more you come up with. :)

You know, I totally forgot to put in my author's notes that you don't have to cock most modern guns, but that you can and that it would help lessen your chance of backing out of suicide at the last second...I totally owe all that to Kohadril and his endless knowledge of guns. Date: 20/02/07 Title: Chapter 2: The Hand of Fate I get to be the first on this chapter! Well, unless someone swoops in here while I write this. I’m happy to beon this journey with you. There are very few authors who I enjoy the ride with, and when it comes to you, Nicole, I love sitting in the Impala with you. Alright, what I loved. hurtDean of course. You threw him over a cliff! Geez! And I have to admit that them being wanted by the law is a huge thorn in my side with my other fan fiction I'm writing on the side. Makes it harder to pose as law, but I tell you it makes for good hurt drama. 'Cause hospitals are hard to check into when you're wanted. Um...I just stated the obvious...feel free to slap me. The glow in Dean's eyes...so he fell off a cliff and is "under the influence" of whatever made that poor guy jump. *shivers* Please tell me there is more soon.
Author's Response: Caroline, that just might be one of the sweetest things someone has said to me in a review. At least top 5. Thanks, you've made me feel *special* and that doesn't happen often. Oh, there's more, just not sure how soon. I'll do my best, though. Yes, I actually had to tone down the hurt!Dean because of the no hospital issue. I mean, they could find help somewhere, but being new in New Mexico, of all places, who're they gonna turn to? Besides, I like Sammy care a little too much. Eventually, though, I may have to find another way to treat Dean. If this was WUC verse, I'd just use Jay, lol. Believe it or not, this hurt was intentional to help bring the story components together...yes, I actually have a plan this time. Woo hoo!

We were on break and decided to have a little PS2 competition between us. Those were good times.” Ha! I so have Sammy beat. 72 hours!!!! *laugh* I have no life. “Anyway, I’m not the one who just bounced down a mountain and stabbed myself with a stick, dude.” It sounds like so much fun when he says it that way. Highlights: “The summer after you’d turned five.” Dean let the smile warm his voice. “You got it in your head to be just like me…not that anyone could blame you, having such a cool older brother and all.” ***** “You know, he’s never really forgotten that. I can’t decide what hurt him worse, the salt tearing into his skin or the words that ripped his soul.” ***** “You see, Sam, Dean’s just too broken, just too much fun to resist. By the time I’m done, your brother’s gonna be begging you to kill him…if he doesn’t kill you first. Until then, take comfort in knowing that your brother is all I need to finish out this cycle. Date: 11/07/07 Title: Chapter 9: Guilty Confessions Sam...I'm so pissed at him right now! Why would he just get up and leave...NOW?! Yes, she was a friend, but his brother's having an emotional meltdown! What the hell?! *Calms herself* On a more educational note, I love that you chose the Winchester Mansion. We just wrote a plot there over at Shadow of the Winchesters. Creepy ass house. Great choice!

Date: 01/08/07 Title: Chapter 10: It's Easier to Run Late to the party again...*sigh* But in my defense I read this at dinner at work when it first came out. I just didn't get the time to leave reviews! Sam realized he was an idiot and for that I do forgive him, but if Dean's brain matter is all over that wallpaper, then I will still wring little Sammy Winchester's neck. End of story. Love that song! You took me back to high school. In track, this one guy used to bring his truck up to the chain link fence and blast Linkin Park while we ran laps. Plus I've been a fan for as long as I can remember. Such a good choice!!! The angst in this. Guh, I could pour it into a wine glass a swish it under my nose! Thank you for that! It physically and emotionally hurt to read. You fused so much into the words you used. So very awesome! Date: 26/08/07 Title: Chapter 12: Delirium in the Night Nice update. I really enjoyed the way Sam took care of Dean, and how you're building toward a great battle over Dean's soul. That creature has its nasty claws in him, and I'm over here praying you don't make us wait too long...That last paragraph:"Amazed and proud of the man his brother had become..."I love stories where Sam and Dean are hurt, but strong...if that makes any sense, and Sam knowing what might happen to him, and still willing to do whatever it takes...that's my Sam. That's the Sam I love. He's got a huge burden to carry, and his brother's life is in his hands...but like Dean, I'm amazed and proud of him.-SJ (((hugs))) I like that...a great battle over Dean's soul. Date: 07/10/07 Title: Chapter 13: When Morning Comes “It was amazing how long you fought the thing off. You did that, Dean. You held in there long enough for me to find you. Bobby says most people are dead within a week. You held in there for two.” That's our Dean! Nicole, this chapter had me breathless. That ending was so intense I couldn't stop reading until the demon disappeared and when she finally did I breathed this huge sigh of relief. I always thought if Dean fell in love it would be kinda like that...his hesitation to go further, putting him before her because he knew he couldn't offer her much right then...the respect.
