 Date: 15/06/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 First of all I won't 'guess' the movies you picked, and ruin it for others, mainly because you told me them all due to my very limited movie watching! LOL Dean, for all that hunting certainly gets around to watching more than a few movies but guess he could see them on DVD whilst in bed recovering from injuries, or view them on their laptop! A really entertaining ride through Dean's fever-addled brain, that was certainly one epic trip he took whilst doped up on codeine with the flu! And Sammy certainly has a lot of blackmail material to use against his big brother, as worried as he was about Dean he must have found his brother's fevered ramblings hysterical. Great to have you back with another story sis, as usual it was a fantastic and enthralling read. It's been too long, but with everything going on in your life I'm amazed you found time to gather your muse and write at all! Now things are calming down some your muse may come out and play more! Just had to quote this - The elder Winchester's gaze was drawn to her bodice, and the spectacular specimens of her womanhood on display. Until he felt his brother's elbow jab into his side in a silent warning. Holy shit, he found himself thinking, if she sneezes, we could all be in trouble...then again, distraction... it had me laughing out loud! :) As usual another great banner from Chris too :) SarahAuthor's Response: Now come on, sis....you already know the ones I picked - lol. Date: 16/11/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 So good to see you back with a story sis and this one was awesome :) Loved the three vignettes set during different periods in the boys lives and perfect how you linked them all, not only with Sam being sick or injured but by Tolkien too. You had both in character totally throughout and we seeing it play out in my head as I read. I must admit I would have preferred to listen to Dean's versions, far more entertaining in his own words! Glad your eyes weren't permanently damaged from the fuel cleaner incident but bet at the time you never realised you would be putting it in a story! Adored it from first word to last. And awesome banner from Chasidern, perfect :) Author's Response: Hey, sis, No, wasn't too damaged. Poor Paul, though - I think he spent the next month apologising to me and giving me his own version of sad puppy eyes. But it wasn't his fault - the damned bottle just slipped out of his hand. And because he was standing, and reaching up to put it on the top shelf, that added height to the fall. And if I hadn't been sitting on the floor, as was my usual habit.... And no, at the time I never even dreamed I'd get back into creative writing, let alone put that freak accident into a story. I'd stopped writing completely once I hit my early twenties and got married, apart from the occasional poem every few years. Thanks for your help on this one, sis, even though it did take me four months to answer the first email.... I liked the vignette style, it gave me lots of exploration room, and lovely contrasts between the boys of now and the boys of then - well, the boys of season one, anyway. Geez, who'd have thought way back then that we'd get to season eight - talk about the little show that could. And you really should have let us play you the movies when you were out here - I had them all on DVD. Peter Jackson did a fantastic job, even though he did kill off Haldir - LOL. Date: 16/01/13 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 I guess this will be AU when the episode airs tonight but I sure wish they would do something as good as this, we deserve it after watching their relationship disintegrate this season. Amazing fic sis, you totally got Dean's mindset here, he feels hard done by and is angry with Sam for not looking for him, though to be fair he has just taken Sam's words and drawn his own conclusions why his little brother didn't look for him, not bothering to find out the real reasons. Could so imagine him heading to a bar after the hunt, not in that much of a hurry to go to Sam after the stunt he pulled and Sam's reaction to it. Totally Dean though that he would up and leave after the bar owner dissed his little brother, he may do that but nobody else can. So believable that Sam would get Dean a gift and how appropriate that it's a working miniature of his baby, showing that despite the friction between them, there is still strong love there, however deeply hidden. And great that Dean found it buried in the duffle when the edge of the box dug into his head. Happy New Year to you sis, and thanks so much for this wonderful fic, keeping my fingers crossed the show gives us something as good in episode 8:10. Sarah Author's Response: Hey, sis, Yep, got AU'd within the first few minutes..*sigh*...but things got better towards the end of the eppy. I think Dean's reacting to what he perceives, and isn't looking beyond that. He spent a year fighting for his life every minute - as far as we know he didn't sleep...?...only to get back topside and find Sam didn't look for him. But I believe Sam honestly thought Dean had been killed, and fell apart, knowing that he really shouldn't go back down that same road and make some sort of deal to bring Dean back from the dead. I think if Sam had had an inkling that Dean was still alive, he wouldn't have rested until he'd found a way to get Dean out. Glad you liked the pressie - I've done knives, and M&M's, so I wanted something different this year - lol. And the little miniature car was just perfect. So much so, that I want one for myself... Date: 25/01/13 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 So great to see you posting a new story, and a multi chapter one too, what an awesome way to start off 2013! As usual, perfect characterisation, you have the boys spot on to the time this is set with Dean struggling to trust Sam and sometimes unable to contain his frustration and anger with his brother. Dean may be having his own issues with Sam but when faced with Dancer's comments he backs him to the hilt. They really should know better going into a hunt with issues between them and vague intel but Dean wants to get this hunt done and dusted so off they go! And before they have even found the monster Sam is in trouble, the rickety and unsafe bridge disintegrating and dropping him into the ravine, bet Dean is wishing he hadn't made the decision for them to cross it! Question is, just how injured Sam as it's pretty certain that he didn't crash land without incident? And yes, that is an evil cliffy to leave us with!!! Waiting patiently to tune in next Friday! And great banner from Chasidern again, just love it :) Sarah Author's Response: Yeah, I need to get back to casefics and multi-chapters and tone down the one-shots. Date: 01/02/13 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2 First of all sis, my thoughts and prayers go out to those who have been affected by the weather event of Oswald, I know how upset and devastated I would be if my home was torn from its foundation and washed away :( Great chapter again .... and another evil cliffy .... OMG you had Dean accidentally shoot Sam thinking he was the creature they were hunting *thud* Awesome Sam whumpage in this chapter, not only does the poor boy have broken ribs, concussion and other injuries but you added a bullet wound too! Poor Dean is going to be devastated. And now Sam is weakened further and the creature seems to hold most of the cards. And could Sam be right in that it is a berserker they are hunting? Good grief girl you are leaving us hanging for a week with soaked boys and shot Sam!!! Not wishing my life away but next Friday can't come soon enough! Sarah Author's Response: Thanks, sis. People in Bundaberg are slowly going back to their homes, but some are faced with either no houses or homes so badly damaged they have to be demolished. The other smaller towns are battling - running out of food and water, etc, so supplies have to be airlifted to them as the roads are still impassable. It's a huge mess, and so devastating. Some citrus farmers have been completely wiped out, not just the crops ruined but the trees ripped from the ground and washed away. Gayndah is one of the biggest citrus growing areas in Australia, and it was one of the hardest towns hit. It's going to take some years to recover. And yep, Dean shot Sam thinking it was the creature. He's probably not going to be too thrilled about it. And the creature is still out there with them as well. So, but of a spot of bother I've put them into - lol. Soaked boys, shot Sammy - yum. Roll on next week, and the next evil cliffie - ROFL! Jules

Date: 09/02/13 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Good grief sis, you are putting our boys through it! Gotta give Sam credit though, even with a bullet wound and in great pain he managed to name the fugly that was playing cat and mouse with them, and realise that fire and flares were the way to go. Typical Winchester luck though that Dean's flare shot missed but at least the Jenu fled, giving them some well needed time and space. At least Dean managed to drag Sam to the hill and find a cave to hole up in, and he managed to patch Sam up somewhat, but without antibiotics infection is bound to set in and now Sam is starting a fever. Oh dear, the Jenu has now outwitted the boys again, getting Dean to follow him, luring him away from Sam and the cave, and heading straight into the Jenu's little trap .... leaving the way open for the fugly to go for the younger Winchester! Just hope that Sam will be able to wield that flare gun and hit his target otherwise he is a sitting duck! Loved the drama in this chapter ... and patiently waiting until next Friday! Sarah Author's Response: I am indeed. Threw everything but the kitchen sink at this one. Next fic might have to be a bit of a holiday to make up for it - lol. Date: 15/02/13 Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4 OMG what an evil cliffy! And if you hadn't injured Sam enough already you almost tore him to pieces courtesy of the Jenu in this chapter! No wonder Dean wants to book out of that cavern and get his little brother to the ER like yesterday! Thank goodness Dean managed to track down his little brother, despite not being in great form himself, and save him from becoming Jenu chow ... and he certainly got there in the nick of time and fired that flare at the fugly as Sam was at its mercy! And in the brief moment on consciousness Sam had he was not aware it was Dean tending to him! Awesome chapter sis, just hope Dean can get Sam to the ER in time! Sarah Author's Response: I like evil cliffies. And I've sprinkled them through this fic like confetti! Well, sort of....seriously though, I've tried to limit myself to one per chapter, sis. And I've put them at the end of each chapter for convenience.....no, really.....*grins* Hmm, yes, I am rather putting Sam through the wringer. Nothing personal - you know I love Sammy. Date: 02/03/13 Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5 Great chapter again sis ... and OMG you have left us with another cliffy - Sam disappearing from his hospital bed!!! At least it seems like he might have left a note though but what prompted him to book? Thank goodness Dean managed to get mobile reception and could call 911 as there was no way he could get Sam out of there, and thank goodness too they hadn't used all the flares as Dean needed a couple to alert the helicopter pilot and paramedics as to their exact location. LOL you put Dean through it this chapter too, having him have to travel in the helicopter but there was no way he was leaving Sam and no way the paramedics were leaving Dean there either as he was just about running on empty and injured too! And it looks like Dean has been putting two and two together and is getting four with Sam's incoherent ramblings and once he has the whole picture I wouldn't like to be in Reggie or Tim's shoes, or Dancer's for that matter as he definitely gave them dodgy intel on this hunt! Date: 08/03/13 Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Haha, yes you are good not leaving us with an evil cliffie this week but Dean is not going to take what Sam told him lying down ... be afraid Tim, Reggie, and Dancer for giving them dodgy intel, be very afraid! Trust Sam to get half of the conversation in his medicated and injured state and book and it's a good job Dean knew exactly what his little brother would do and was waiting in the car park as there is no way Sam was in any fit state to steal a car! And had to laugh that his puppy dog eyes worked on the doc and he let him sign out AMA! Now Dean has the full story of what happened in Garber he is not going to let things lie and I sense there might be some retribution to come ... you treat Sammy bad and you've treated Dean bad too! Awesome chapter again sis :) Sarah Author's Response: Hey, sis. Yep, dodgy hunters beware! Date: 26/03/13 Title: Chapter 7: Chapter 7 Awesome ending sis. Just loved how Dean got Cass, Bobby and Rufus to help him scare the sh*t out of those hunters who had tried to set up the Winchesters and hurt Sam. Don't think they will be coming after the Winchesters again! Great little talk between Dean and Sam, sometimes they just need to communicate! Fantastic ending and great lead into Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid episode. Hope you are soon 100% well sis and make sure you take things easy. Author's Response: Hi, sis, Yep, getting there slowly. Flu is gone, just really tired now. I sort of figured it would be a nice touch to call in the troops on the payback - not just for the fact that Dean really couldn't cover all that ground on his own, but also to give the hunters a message that the Winchesters aren't alone, and won't be easy targets.
