Laura Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! and especially thanks for noticing the analogy. The Wizard of Oz is one of my favourite movies and is responsible for my love of the supernatural too - nightmares galore over the Wicked Witch as a kid... The boys are from Kansas afterall and Dean was referencing the movie all along, but when his first words upon seeing Sam were Auntie Em - it just all hit home for me. Dorothy tries to go home as soon as she thinks Auntie Em is in danger afterall, even if it means having to give up Toto, and then she's injured in the tornado and sucked up in it - just too good to pass up. Summary: Dean knows the right lines to say and the right role to play for every moment... until the moments start to play him.
