Date: 30/03/08 Title: Chapter 1: Secrets My Brother Told Me This is a great bit of angst and brotherly concern. Like the way you intermingled quotes from the series with your tag, too. It felt like you glossed over Sam's three months alone after MS; I don't think Dean would let that go so quickly. Still, seated on the cold ground next to Sam's puke, is not condusive to long conversations. I think your timeline is probably off, and JIB is closer to eight months into Dean's deal, especially with the shortened third season we're going to get. Date: 09/04/08 Title: Chapter 2: Time Flies Well, I admire your grit in tackling a complex plot with alternating timelines as a first story. I'm not sure where you're going from here. Your birthday may be Feb. 19th, but Dean's is January 24th (if you want to research it, the ep is The Benders) and if you wrote that the boys were celebrating Dean's birthday, then it needs to be the right date. Ah, and you've got some Britspeak left in this chapter - "he would so be taking the piss out of him". Date: 20/04/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Hmm, well, I've got to say I can't see Bobby messing with the Impala's tires. He'd know as well as Dean that "you can't let the air out of all the tires, you'll bend the rims." I think Dean would be tireless in his pursuit of more tires for his baby, too, not stopping just bec the first tire place claimed it was "out of tires". Unless this is such a one-horse town that there's only one auto shop/tire source in it, which isn't established in the story. It took the boys awhile to trigger on a Trickster, especially after you repeated the two big jokes from TT. I did like the return of the itching powder, ha ha. Sue
Author's Response: Oh my gosh, I totally forgot about the bending the rim! Sorry about all the holes in the story...I knew that when I was done with it the setting wasn't well established but I had to finish the story up in a night because free time was short at hand.
