I've just turned half century old and have lived in Nottingham, UK all my life.

I do not consider myself a writer, in my heart I prefer to beta / edit and have done lots of that over the years. But now with Supernatural and this wonderful website I have been inspired and encouraged to try putting pen to paper.

I may never manage to fill this space with more than a single drabble but I will never forget the thrill of getting my first review. Thank you.

Now if anyone wants me to beta for them, please remember I live in the UK and I hate spoilers. I'm also not keen on crossover stories or those that are pure romance, unless of course it is the twisted supernatural kind. That said I love bouncing ideas around and am quite happy to try working with anyone.

This is an awesome story with one evil baddie and I can't wait for more.

I have just reread this story for the upteenth time and have to say its one of my favourites from the Brotherhood. I dontt quite know why I keep coming back to it but I do.

I love the Brotherhood universe so much I wish there was a new story every week to read. I hope real life never stops you writing.

This is shaping up to be an absolutely fascinating story.

I just love seeing Sam and Dean from someone's perspective and the question from the audience back in Chapter 1 " are Dennis and Scott very sexy? " made me smile big time.

The pseudonyms Dennis and Scott paint a picture of such mild mannered men so unlike Dean and Sam that I had to smile every time I read the names.  The fact that my husband's name is Dennis didn't help the picture at all!

Finally I hope we don't have to wait too long for the next chapter although it wouldn't be too much of a hardship to have to go back and reread this to refresh the memory.

Author's Response:

The story is actually completely done so it won't take long.  I'm just going back over and cleaning things up.  I'm so glad that the intent of the story is coming across which is the guys from an outside perspective.  I love watching their dynamic on the show and wanted to express that is some way.

 Thanks for reading and reviewing.

I know I have read this story before, but for the life of me I don't know if I left a review. It certainly deserves at least one.

I love that your stories drop straight into the action and the fact that involves hurt Dean from the get go, just gets my undivided attention from the word go.

This certainly seems to have all the ingredients of a rivetting story: a mysterious good guy, a very bad, bad guy and one hurt Dean in need of rescuing. I'm here for the ride.

Author's Response:

Hey hunny.

Such nice words!  This was my first long story and although i know it has flaws I do like it.  Mikey is a sweet character to write and I do so enjoy beating the crap outta Dean! heehee  i'm so bad!

hand in there chika, he screams a fair bit !

Am a bit late to wish you Happy Christmas, but I hope Happy Easter will be chocolate to your ears.

The moment Mikey slammed the knife through Dean's hand was brutal. Dean may not have screamed in this chapter but I hear him anyway.

Great writing.

Author's Response:

Heehee, Happy Easter to you too sweetums.

Did ya like the knife through the hand?  Mikey's a bad boy ain't he? He's gonna make poor DEan scream a lot...ah music to our ears! hahahahah

Thanks so much for reviewing, means a great deal hun.

Oh good the cavalry is on the way.

Can't help myself but point out I spotted a continuity error. Back in one of the earlier chapters Dean's left hand was pinned to the table with the knife and his right tied to the chair. Now his left hand is tied to the chair, thought I do believe this is a minor error since his left shoulder remains the shattered one. Sorry but these things bug me. Am I right or did I misunderstand?

Please don't get me wrong, I still love this story, but momentarily the question did drop me out of the story.

Author's Response:

Hey Midge

It remains his left hand fixed by the knife, what makes you think its the other hand hun?

Thank heavens the Angels are winning. Quietly praying they can heal Dean too before it is too late.

Referring back to my previous review, the quotes that made me question continuity are: "!-- @page { margin: 2cm } P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } -->Dean strained his left hand against the rope tying it to the chair arm" in Chapter 7 and " His right hand was similarly rent, and crusted with dried blood" in Chapter 8. Sorry for nit picking, and thanks for your patience.

Off to read the final chapter now, so that tomorrow I may read the sequel and review that too.

Really admire the way you explained Sam and Dean's upbringing to the judge. Very reasonable, but I bet it was tough coming up with the sentences that make it sound so reasonable, especially the social interaction section.

Well done.

Author's Response:

It's kind of funny but that scene was one of the easiest to write.  I happen to think John was probably a very loving father and that, despite Sam's protests, they really admired what he did for them.  Not a popular opinion but it's the one I've got.

Thanks for reading.

Welcome to the brutal and distinctly less glamorous side of hunting.

Seems very right that every experience would be turned into a lesson. Sounds just like what John would have done.

More real life jobs to do before I can read another chapter. So see you later.

Author's Response:

I think this is how it would have been done.  On the job training, a sort of apprenticeship.  I lot of theory and then practice when the need arouse.  And how terrifying but necessary if you're a child.

Thanks for reading and leaving reviews.  I appreciate it.

Dean and Ben disappearing after being attacked by a statue definitely has my attention 100%.

I have to hope Bobby remains a steadfast friend to the boys, I like him too much for him to be the leak. But if its not him, then who is it?

Author's Response:

I based that portion on the myth of the Black Aggie.  Very cool little story.  I made up everything after their disappearance though.  Hope you continue to enjoy.

Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Poor Ben, he seems to be learning all the down sides of being a Winchester in a very short period of time. Fixated on by a ghost, thrown around by said ghost, patching up a person he loves, and now targetted by another hunter. Poor Ben.

Loving this story. Real life housework is being ignored so I can keep reading.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much.  One does have the bad luck when one's a Winchester.  Fair warning...the story gets a little strange from here on out.  I got a bee in my bonnet and that's where it took me.  I hope you continue to enjoy.

Thanks for reading and the reviews.

Lovely story. Dean and Sam struggling with parenthood is a sight to see, and Henrickson getting his eyes opened and not ending up dead 5 minutes later is great.

Looking forward to reading more of your old stuff whilst I avoid season 4 spoilers.

Author's Response:

Sorry that you are not privy to season 4.  It can be downloaded online but if you're not into that sort of thing, I hope the season starts for you soon.

I love Dean and Sam as parents.  I love it as a means to look into how they were raised and the adjustments they would make.  I love the idea that Dean would step into this rather smoothly since, in actuality, he's done it before.  I love that Sam would watch and learn and develop his own way of doing things.

Anyway, thanks for reading.  I love knowing people are reading my stories.

Over the last couple of days, I have reread this from start to finish and I have to say its not the first reread either. I think this is my favourite Ben Braedon story so far, and its one I love to drop into frequently. I especially love the early chapters with Dean and Ben getting to know each other, but every twist keeps me reading and every time I get to the end I wish there was more. Luckily for me there are more stories to dip into and I intend to keep dipping.

Author's Response:

Reviews make me happy, giddy even but sometimes reviews make me humble.  When anyone says they want to read something I've written more than once, that's humbling for me.  I am so glad that you enjoy this story, it is one that I am very proud of.

Thank you so much for the review , the stars and for coming back to read again.

Another dose of housework calls before I can allow myself to read more. Back later.

Oh how I love a happy ending, and as a Brit I thoroughly enjoyed all the proper non-American names for things: biscuits for cookies, jumper for sweater, lift for elevator to name just a few. Great truly great. And you certainly had me guessing about who really was the patient.

An absolutely fantastic piece of writing.

Author's Response:

Thanks Midge. As an Aussie, I loved being able to call things by the proper names for a change. My beta is a Brit too, and funnily enough I had to keep reminding her when she did my corrections that Kayla is an Aussie, and yes, she rewlly would speak like that - LOL.

Glad I could keep you guessing. That was the plan all along. I'm so chuffed that you loved this one.....Jules
