Am enjoying this story, especially now I've got over the shock and horror of the torture scenes. Have spent the last few days since reading chapter 25 pondering how Dean was going to agree to be rescued. Had come to conclusion that he'd probably have to be handcuffed and unconscious but hadn't guessed Shannon would be the one to put him unconscious.

Please don't make us wait too long for Sam's rescue. 

Now Sam, I wonder if John and co can get to him before the father gives him an overdose. I am still thinking that Dean will come get past much of the brainwashing as soon as he sees Sam in trouble, but what Sam'll do when he sees Dean is a different matter.

PS Chapter 11 is still haunting me. It was so so graphically horrible. First time around I couldn’t read it. Had my eyes glued shut waiting for the scene to finish as though it was on a TV screen. Took several minutes for me to realise I had to open them to hit page down and the picture painted wasn’t going to leave my screen without my help. 2nd time of reading I made myself read it so I could write this properly but my hands and stomach are shaking with a definite sensitive of yuck!

Oh no not more pain for Sam. How much more can he survive?  But I'm glad he finally realised that his Dad had come to save him.

Oh my where are the tissues? That chapter certainly brings tears to the eyes.

I'd been wondering what Deacon, Bobby and eventually John would/will think when they realised what had been done to Dean.

And the use of food as a weapon was really being cruel to be kind. Shame Dean's thrown it on the floor rather than give in and eaten it. And Dean's final comment of "Jus’ because a person doesn’t put a gun to your head an’ pull the freakin’ trigger, doesn’t mean he isn’t killin’ you. It jus’ means he’s doin’ it more subtly." is just so sad.

I understand where you're coming from in this chapter and fully support the idea that Dean would grip Sam's arm so hard he'd break the skin, but the trying to strangle Sam pushed the boundaries. But as I know little about post traumatic stress etc I happily accept your portrayal of the situation.

I'm glad the boys are finally back together and Dean's extreme guilt is exactly what I'd been expecting him to feel when he saw Sam.

Well done. Keep it coming.

I'm up and ready for round two between Dean and Dominic and hoping for a short wait for the resumption of their battle.

I'm pleased Dean didn't have to kill Dominic. Shannon got her revenge and Dean escaped another dose of guilt at least for the time being.

Oh my, that's a sad and strangely scary chapter. Dean in suicidal mood - never a good thing. Just hope John can keep him safe until Sam comes around.

When I read your note at the top of the chapter I thought that this was it, the absolute end of the story, but thankfully it doesn't read like it. I do so hope there is more coming soon.

Finally Sam is looking for Dean and Dean has regained just a little bit of a reason to go on. And just who is Marianna? There's something strange about her. Good but strange. But oh dear Markus and co are back and out for revenge in the nastiest way possible.

Am very much looking forward to reading more.

Finally Sam is behaving as a rational loving brother putting Dean's wants and desires first, instead of being an irrational, self centered idiot. Personal opinion there, but I always thought Sam's desperate desire to keep Dean alive at any cost was selfish and inconsiderate.

By the way I'm loving this story, and whilst abhorant of vampires, the idea of having Dean chained to a bed all to myself has a certain appeal!

Awesome story. I think you have caught the essence of the brotherhood family perfectly. Humour, pain and love in equal measures. Well done.

This is very very good, even if I initially had real trouble believing Sam could remain afraid of water for so many years.

But I loved that the fact that Dean's name was the first name he tried to say when recovering from his last drowning. And I loved that it's Dean's memory that talked him into the water at the end.

 Not sure that the story needs another chapter but Dean's reaction to Sam willingly being round the lake in 'Dead in the Water' could be interesting. Looking forward to your next chapter.
