I love how you included Sam leaving Dean for Stanford, John's decision and time in Hell, Dean's decision, the war and even included Castiel. It all came together beautifully!! (Beautiful....like Dean's back!):) Yes, Dean's back is very beautiful. (It's very solid too. Or it was at the Asylum Jensen attended!) I'm glad you liked the story! I would have liked to include something about Mary in there too, but I really haven't decided where she'd have gone after the events of Home since seeing ITB... I always wondering how/why Dean held back from just completely going off on Sammy when he found out the bullet was missing. It seemed a bit un-Dean-like to hold back to see if Sam was gonna mention it in the car. So, this was a nice tag to that episode to explain how Dean tried to work through his feelings. So sorry to hear about your health issues, and I hope you are feeling better day by day. My apologies for such a late response. I restarted chemo after a recent PET scan still showed signs of tumors (fortunately, shrinking from the prior scan) so my brain is still a little spotty... Thank you so much for your kind words about my writing style. Lately I've been trying to experiment with narrative POV based on the narrator and sometimes I wonder if I don't end up crashing and burning when I do. Author's Response: Ta! Well, they are bound to have some crappy Chrstmases in their past, a tiring and sad life like theirs won't stop at Christmas! Poor guys. Always wanna hug 'em to make them feel better... Pastor Jim was initially Bobby. However, watching Salvation for the umptienth time made me realise that he lived in Minnesota and had indeed seen John (and Dean I guess) over a year back. Which would indeed fit my timeline...
